To be eligible to become a Canadian citizen, you must: be a permanent resident. have lived in Canada for 3 out of the last 5 years. have filed your taxes, if you need to. pass a citizenship test. prove your language skills. these are the requirements from a website. but try to check out the cic.gc.ca for more info regarding this. You mentioned at the end of the video that if moved to another place or other province you have to provide the mailing address? You mean after u give your mailing address to the office/judge at the oath ceremony , can you still after that in replying to them with the signed document , in this email you can again change the mailing address on which they will mail you the certificate?
for example if you did your application in your previous address, and then during the waiting period you decided to move to a new place, then you have to update your address during the ceremony so that you can receive your canadian certificate to your new address.

no, I did not do anything, I think it will automatically by updated. The only thing that you have to do now I believe is to apply for passport. I am currently doing the tutorial for passport application both adult and child. I will post it very soon.
I have submitted my signed oath taking certificate right after my oath taking but its been 15 days i havent received my e certificate in portal what should i do been contacting for days by phone still cant get thru
Hi, the document after the ceremony, you have to sign it while you are in the rom with the clerk or you can do it after by yourself offline?, when they say scan it, can i also save it and just take a picture of it and send it?
I'm waiting for my ceremony but I have to travel in two months time..what if they call me within that time how will I get my documents to travel if I have to cut my PR card?..should I reschedule my appointment ( ceremony)?..
@@herreraschannel8930 thanks for your reply, But my ONline account says waiting on you for the OATH taking so it is changed there but I haven't received the Notice email from them (LINK and all that) on my GMail, it been 3 -4 days and my oath-taking is on 2nd FEB but no email NOTICE. how many days after the online change did you get that Notice email. I am worried if they forgot that.

It’s might just take a bit of time , we did our oath on the 23 rd still waiting for the certificate when some people got it after 5 days it’s just a matter of time .Good luck

we took our oath taking april, then we got the email I think by september, then we did the ceremony by november.

there's a lot of numbers on the PR card....which one did you have to read out and how many digits?
the no. is located on top right corner of your card If I recall it correctly.

with the officiant? yes you can. I never thought of that but definitely you can but the quality of the image is not that great.
I tried to take a screenshot when the immigration officer allowed but it did not work. And usually it is working. 🤔

you can do it by yourself after, or you can get along with the ceremony.

I did my citizenship test test on November 25th heard from them as yet is it a long wait??
usually a week or 3. in our case it was 3 week when we got the invitation for citizenship oath taking
just check your email frequently.

yes they will mail it to you within a week if you send the document back that same day.

only certificate they will issue. not card, get a passport if you want a proof of canadian citizenship. That's what we did.

Did they sent you a passport with your certificate?
no password for the certificate as it is sent by mail. but they will send your a log in link and password to zoom when you do the oath taking.
