hi babish!
Well hello there

Hello there
Babish!
Literally every video has such a genuine quality to it, idk how to explain it, I love Babish's show to death, but it feels like Ethan is actually talking to us
Maybe just me, but I like that you highlight cleaning throughout the video--it's the same way that I cook. A clean kitchen just seems to allow you to focus more on the process, and a less stressful experience overall. It's just as important as any other aspect.
Ingredient report:
Mayo was seen at 6:05 - 6:07, 6:09 - 8:08.
Pickled onions were not seen in this video.
This has been your ingredient report.
Thanks, you have done a great service.
Real pantry report heroes do not live in mayo jars!
@@TheSlavChef Thanks! Actually, I was thinking of passing on reporting to someone like you. You're always early and I can't always be there on time. So, if I'm late, feel free to take my spot!
Are you friends with the adam ragusea white wine report guy

love the fact that you focus so much on cleaning and having a clean work area
I love how practical this dudes videos are. We can all read a recipe, sure, but the "holding our hand", showing us the possibility of tidying up along the way, is what makes these videos so helpful to me.
Yeah. He's great.
I can’t even eat these, but your aesthetic is dreamy and great to watch
hiiiiiiiiiii 👾
Why can you not eat these?
on a diet rn lmfao, but this channel rules. gonna make his kielbasa recipe asap for the cheat day
Trust me I know the feeling, I eat kosher (no meat and milk and many more rules) so I can't really ever eat the actual foods but it's just fun to watch and learn
@@Jason-gh9dd chill brah, were here to enjoy some cooking not have debates on God
2:20 I'm betting you said milk chicken there to avoid saying 'chicken milk', but that's what it is. No way around it. Chicken milk.
chickn mlk
.
He could’ve just said “milk brine” lol
I like these small frame in frame videos to show another view or to quickly explain stuff (oil drainage). Please more of it 😊
Loving these cooking as you clean videos. Very practical!
ETHAN! I absolutely friggin love the way you are mathematical when cooking! Your recipes rock!!!!
The fact that you take everything into account like cleaning and time is just amazing, keep up the good work man!
Aside from the food looking awesome as usual, loving the jazz piano background music
I really like that this channel, unlike the other big ones (Babish, Joshua, etc), focuses on time and practicality. That's my favorite thing about it. I want to know exactly how much time this stuff takes, and what multitasking/cleanup I can fit in while stuff is cooking. Also I like how it's not about crazy ingredients, instead the ingredients are mostly inexpensive, common grocery store staples. Channels that spend 6 hours prepping and use all the most expensive ingredients are great, but those videos aren't that useful. Entertaining, maybe, but I won't pull those videos up when I'm looking to make dinner.
You know it'd be interesting to see a 23 minute livestream of you making these start to finish
That would be fun
I really like your work flow, Ethan. Great video, editing, and production value.
Much appreciated!
The hardest part about this is the 1st step of having a clean kitchen.
Bruh stop being lazy 😂
@@phuckyoutube5927 maybe they have roommates or they work all day stop assuming shit
I have made so many of your recipes, they are ALL delicious! I know always keep a jar of pickled red onions on-hand! This channel rocks!
When I make lemon pepper wings in the oven, I use the schmaltz in the pan to "wet" the wings so the dry lemon pepper seasoning sticks to the wings and since the schmaltz doesn't have water, the wings stay crispy.
OMG, that sounds perfect!
These are reeeaaaally good, like, restaurant quality, and super easy to make too. Made them a few times after watching this video, and going to again tonight. Thanks for the video!
Really pleased to say that I tried this battering method with eggplant cut into circles and it works very well to make crunchy on the outside soft on the inside vegetarian nuggets for my vegetarian mum. Really glad to have found a simple n easy egg free batter.
Also tried it as advertised with chicken breast and turned out great also. Thanks!
Hey Ethan! Thanks for covering the clean up! I'm definitely going to be making these tonight for dinner
Dude I love whenever you upload your videos are top notch
i like that you show the sizes clearly when you chop the chicken
So simple! But one of your best! Thanks
Great recipes plus kitchen-life survival tips - clean before your cook, clean as you go
i love the clock time stamps that really show how time accessible these recipes are 🥺
We used to make a version of these, but with a different flour mix: 50g flour, 50g panko breadcrumbs, 2tsp bicarb and a few flavourings. Super crispy and fluffy, great golden colour, too. Worth a try.
Bro your giving me the self confidence that I can tackle another facet of life with competence. Thankyou for bestowing knowledge
Glad to see that Ethan enjoys topo chico, that's the king of drinks right there.
Great content as always Ethan!
Finally someone who isnt scared shitless of MSG!
Nothing wrong with MSG anyway
There is no such thing as too much umami
I recently have been making your ~25 min spicy popcorn chicken... Ethan thank you so much. It's so delicious and 1000000% worth the effort put into it. I cannot thank you enough, I will have to also try these out too!
Thanks for another video. Keep up the good work
Made this tonight and it knocked my socks off dude, thanks!
Well, Now I know what I'm making for lunch today... looks delicious.
A cook who talks about cleaning is a cook a i follow. Legit this is the reason why sometimes I don’t wanna cook. Stay true to this, not matter how much you blow up
Lovely recipe!
Simply delicious.
So delicious perfect recipe 👍
Bro, I'm like you because I'm addicted to cleaning my kitchen while cooking 😂 I learned it from my chef in france. Clean station equals to better work place. Good work 👍 I always watch your vids!
"Deep frying at home is easy!"
... I can hear Ragusea huffing from all the way over here.
That was my thought exactly
But also, frying in a wok is genius and i bet Ragusea might be willing to try it and see if it's worth it.
Actually adam ragusea commented on Ethan deep frying video that his video was mostly hyperbole and deep frying at home is probably fine so long as you do it right
@@bed693 Yeah that’s called backpedaling.
i need a collab with all the big youtube cooking channels
Just made these, they are epic!
I have an unreasonable crush on this man and his voice
We just made them with the lemon pepper wet. They are awesome alone and inside a tortilla with chipotle mayo. Now I want to make them again 😁
God he always looks SO satisfied when he bites into is food. And each time im jealous that I can't bite into the food either.
I promise to you that these will be the best chicken tenders you will ever make/eat. i didnt do lemon pepper but i bet it is amazing. i melted a stick of butter and mixed it with diced garlic. i dumped it over the chicken and put a packet of ranch seasoning tossed them around and no doubt best chicken ive had in my life.
This is quickly becoming one of the premiere cooking channels on RUclips.
Made these last night fir my family. At first I thought I had gone overboard and Mande too much and next thing I knew they were all gone. Really easy and yummy-tried the lemon pepper will make the Buffalo sauce next time
Thanks for the recipe and the confidence 😊
Ethan you the GOAT
Best craving ever
Ethan, I consider myself fairly adept in the kitchen. But I always shied away from deep frying because I thought it was too messy, oil in the air blah blah.
You've shown us that it really isn't difficult and the results are so worth it. I've made a few of your recipes so far (the burgers are ace).
Frying (imo) is the tastiest way to have chicken (in moderation), and for me it brings back some great memories of eating fried chicken on my last roadtrip across the southern states (definitely brought a smile to my face during the latest lockdown here in London).
Thanks for you encouragement Ethan, keep up the great work :)
I highly suggest using a "fry screen" to avoid splatter!
Your recipes are ones that I actually favorite to come back to later whenever I want to actually make the food. For whatever reason I like cooking shows as a background thing to listen to while doing other things, but most are just "That looks delicious but I'll never actually put that effort in myself to make something" vs "Ok stop what I'm doing this is a recipe that's actually doable and I love Lemon Pepper wings"
I need this in my life
A few months ago bought a great fry screen on Amazon. Works great. Almost no splatter.
I made that lemon pepper wet but put a little bit more oil and drizzled it over some fish. Such a good idea to make that flavour into a sauce almost. Always thought of it as dry only.
I know you have 500k subs but this channels content is still underrated
Recipes that look doable and delicious.
Beautiful combo
You are the Hugo Boss of your lemon pepper sauce.
Was watching your videos, you gave me an idea. For date night with my wife we're going to do one of your recipes and watch movies on Netflix. Thank you for the inspiration!
Being from Atlanta, and getting many a takeout wing/finger over the last two decades: Lemon pepper wet is lemon pepper but with lemon pepper seasoning in butter as sauce, as opposed to lemon pepper seasoning directly on the wing before frying, this "dry" preperation is the way cajun and jerk wings are also served. Lemon pepper + buffalo is Lemon Pepper Hot, dry prep lemon pepper then tossed in buffalo sauce if you're somewhere that does it right, or just lemon pepper in the buffalo if you're somewhere lazy. Dry jerk + tossed in buffalo is my personal go to trashy buffalo wing prep.
the deep frying channel. Love it
😍Hello chef.. Its the CRUNCH for me 👍
4:05 Like those metal bowls which are much more sustainable than plastic ones! Also of course like the video. Your videos are always informative and well edited! 👍
Adding honey and a touch of soy sauce (not so you could point it out) to either sauce is pretty bomb.
these are great just made them. didn't have stuff for the sauce but they were good without.
Awesome vid as always! Have any travel plans once the pandemic eases up? I'd love to see more vids where you dive into a bunch of culturally inspired dishes like you did in Mexico!
I'm an Atlanta girl that prefers regular degular lemon pepper wet, but I must say a good hot lp wet is top tier as well!
another Topo Chico drinker? I see you are a man of culture...I'm subscribing
Dredging chicken wearing a black long sleeve shirt. The definiation of confidence.
Great simple recipe. Will be substituting milk + lemon for butter milk instead :-)
Would you consider doing some dishes featuring chili cheese? Plenty of good weekend snack dishes that you could make your own twist on, also it would be nice to have a nice detailed description of what cheeses are best suited for dishes like that.
Thanks for the many great dishes you've shown so far, I have made quite a few and they've been great, I live in Sweden so many of your recipies are dishes that aren't very prevalent here in Scandinavia.
Howdy! Will try them with a chronometer!!! :D I will report if it takes 23:01, haha. Lemon and chicken go really well together!
+ for the clean kitchen, that is a must!
Yup I agree, lemon and chicken are perfect combo!
I'm not a native English speaker but would really like to try this, however I can't really understand what he says at 2:02? some sort of flour and something else? Could you help me please?
@@boosteddrimmsu dredge for the chicken? It means the coating, essentially the mix of white flour/cornstarch and salt that you will use to make the chicken crispy.
@@TheSlavChef ohhh, "cornstarch" was the word I didn't quite get - thanks a lot! :D

I put the butter lemon pepper sauce on spaghetti and it tasted great. Though lemon pepper chicken with lemon pepper spaghetti, and I’m all lemon peppered out for the week lol
Ethan and skinless boneless chicken thighs. Name a more iconic duo.
I hate cooking but love your vids! Lol

you are doing god's work
They sell splatter screens in most Asian stores, you can use them to significantly reduce grease cleanup. They're mesh so steam can still escape. And you can use them with basically any pan they can fit over. I'm surprised no one on youtube has mentioned this, as it's probably the easiest method to cut down on mess, and protects you from grease splashing or pops.
Tons of options on Amazon. Couldn't imagine not having one.
Would be cool to see what would happen if you lightly toasted/dried the lemon zest, as some recipes recommend. I wonder if that makes a difference?
When he pulled the topo Chico out I immediately subbed lol
about to make this with tofu! thanks!
Being serious, the thing I craved the most for in this video was definitely that topo chico.
I just dropped everything to come watch this vid. Lol
