International day for the preservation of the ozone layer is celebrated annually on 16th September. World Ozone Day is dedicated to promote activities in accordance with the objectives of the Protocol and its amendments. The ozone layer, a fragile shield of gas, protects the Earth from the harmful portion of the rays of the sun, thus helping preserve life on the planet. The World Ozone Day offers an opportunity to focus global attention and action on this vital environmental issue.
This day is observed to spread awareness among people about the depletion of Ozone Layer and search possible solutions to preserve it. Share information about atmosphere, ozone, CFC, acid rain among students. Let them invite for participation in competition. They can go for awareness campaign on eco-friendly products.
