Explosive head isn't just good because of the extra 10% damage to your target. The explosive damage hits nearby enemies, and yes dragonfly does that but you don't need kills so you get that splash damage every single shot. It flinches enemies much more than base as well so it's really good in GM's essentially stun locking enemies.
Dragonfly spreads scorch to unscorched targets neaby due to the artifact mod. With Incardecent and ashes that 90 scorch stacks to every enemy hit by the explosion. With ember of char and precision rays you can get multiple explosions with one kill even without ashes
IMPORTANT: You do need to own the Forsaken Pack to CRAFT the last Wish weapons. You can use your "Rivens wishes" on them to get random rolls, but if you unlock the pattern, you won't be able to craft it. 😢

I've got one with Archer's Tempo + Dragonfly. Absolutely loved that bow. Hoped to get Point of the Stag with the same combo but Banana RNG railed me. Although, now that I think about it, my Wolftone Draw has the same perk combo.
i may be weird but for me wellspring is definitely my go to in slot 1. I know we have super fast ability regen builds but wellspring is so nice for topping off any abilities i might have on cooldown. it has saved me more than once in GMs for recharging my heal nade so fast i can basically spam it on cooldown and have almost permanent uptime on restoration

I run an archer's tempo, adagio roll in pvp with knucklehead radar on my hunter and It's pretty damn good, even better when you have radiant and adagio at the same time.
I use Tripwire Canary with successful warm up and rapid hit in pvp with oathkeeper and arc. I can do 1 to the head and the other to the body for a kill.
Explosive head and incandescent have been my build for this bow since I crafted it. I find it does better than the nightfall bow even at adept. My adept bow has archers tempo and explosive head and it does well but not as good as tyranny
If I remember right, Ignitions will also proc its origin trait, and this bow is damn good at making ignitions. I wanna say it’s just extra reload and handling if I remember, but that still adds to the over all speed of the bow.
Ignitions inherit the trait of whatever applied the first instance of scorch e.g. if a solar grenade clips an enemy and then someone ignites them with something else the game reads the ignition as grenade damage and procs stuff accordingly
Good review appreciate that Cross unlike many other D2 content creators can admit when he's got the wrong idea and points out why other ideas may or may not in fact be better options.
Good cop out for one of the most viewed d2 creators that shoukdve gotten it right the first time, maybe focus more on accuracy rather than video farming
I added ToH to my Caliban's hunter build after it became craftable. Kicking things off with that nuke explosive knife gives me radiant and a full stack of Swashbuckler, combined with this seasons solar mods its a lot of explosive fun. It should be said that both these bows are standout options and it's interesting to see how well both preform head to head
Hands down... Explosive Head >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dragonfly. The stun from the explosive is strong and applied from all shots not just kills. Reliable extra dmg and stun on every shot is way more appealing than the unreliability of getting a kill.
I know there’s probably a roll you’d suggest for high end pve to be most efficient. But honestly I just absolutely love that it can have dragonfly and incandescent. Solarsplosions everywhere! I don’t really do gms or anything like that so I’m gud with that roll
@@Ex0dus24 Sometimes. I used one to complete my Abyss Defiant pattern because I got like 3 back to back and managed to get a 4th soon after. I do agree that generally you shouldn't use deepsight harmonizers on raid weapons as long as they take spoils to also use them, but I think it makes sense to use one or two to finish off a weapon you only need 1 or 2 patterns for. Might use one for Word of Crota as I only need 2 more patterns. So Ill clear it one more time then use a harmonizer. Mostly since I'm not playing D2 as much as I was a couple months ago so I don't see me doing the raid much.

Sometimes waiting a month+ to repeat farm hard for patterns just isn't preferred, it's my rocket launcher and I want it now! XD

My friend group that I play raids with takes a lot of breaks from destiny (I do as well) so there might be a month stretch where I do raids all the time and then a few month break where I barely touch them. I’ll keep weapons that can have deepsight activated on them in my vault that I may want to craft eventually as rainy day projects. I’ve already got most of the raid weapons patterns anyways at this point, mostly just missing one or two from a few raids. Obviously I could just go lfg and farm them out regularly but frankly it’s not as fun as raiding with friends so I don’t really bother.

Tyranny of Heaven is one of my fav bow, it's a great bow but it carries the additional perk of the memories of me and my crew raiding the Dreaming City back in the days.
Tyranny of heaven is by far one of my favorite weapons to use this season. The solar synergy is amazing and dragonfly + incandescent is so much fun for kabloomies
There are good choices all around when picking which Last Wish red border to get from Mara. Supremacy is great, as is Apex Predator, but Tyranny of Heaven is Tyranny of Heaven, and I'm going with that.
In Grandmasters, I'd just use another bow that was explosive. Dragonfly - Incandescent is situational but in situations where it works (on level or a bit above, as you say) it's a riot. But there are other bows out there, in other elements, and I still like precision ones.
Am i the only one using pugilist because sunbracers? I think it needs a buff to justify use by any other class. I'll be making a second probably with dragonfly instead for any other builds.
The TTK of a bow is in the reload speed not just the draw time. Knock the arrow faster and you can use the base 500 draw time in PvE. You really don't need Archer's Tempo outside of PvP and maybe Gambit when dealing with invaders.

Tyranny with enhanced Incandescent and enhanced Dragonfly is absolutely disgusting, it's literally the bow version of Polaris Lance but the explosive head + Incandescent isn't bad either. This season is great for the bow but when the season ends and the artifact mods go away it's going to be forgotten. Good thing is it's legendary bow, so you can use the bow and something like Malfeasance, Dragon's Breath or whatever you want as exotic primary or heavy, which is nice. It's vastly superior to Ticuu's Divination at the moment.

There's only one bow worth running, Leviathans Breath. Perpetualis, Indebted Kindness and Levi breath. You got all stuns covered and if you run it on strand subclass it's a win.
I don't think you were necessarily wrong about your overall conclusion before - Tyranny is not fantastic in GMs, but in other content Dragonfly is 100% the way. I would rather a precision in GM.
yeah lightweights still pretty bad for endgame for level caps, precisions still king, and even then if anyone is actually want to run bows it's better to run exotics or you're really making your gm run longer then needed.

Archers Tempo really isn't all that lol. Especially if you aren't one shotting adds to the dome. Most people using bows are lining up shots to make sure they hit the dome and not the body making the better draw speed pretty much irreverent. I absolutely do not care what the draw speed of my bow is. I pump everything into Accuracy to make sure I hit heads.

If Archers tempo feels great and works for you awesome. But getting head shots for free is so enjoyable. It feels like I have aim bot with my 100 accuracy stat bows.
While Tyranny is a great bow, no questions about it, on the content where guns matter, precision bows are just better. Oneshotting enemies and having more damage to pling long if needed is paramount. Also, the accuracy on lightweights is AWFUL. Keep it up with the great content!
And yet they are one of the most popular weapons in the game, fan faviourites, also there are rail guns, use them. Also there’s swords and glaives, which in my opinion is a lot more unrealistic

I had this drop with firefly/incandecent and as soon as I saw it, I knew it was a keeper. It is the best legendary bow in the game (for pve), followed closely by the strand one from the dungeon with explosive head/threadling. For pvp raconteur is king.
A good possible pairing I can see with Tyranny of Heaven is running Archer's Tempo + Golden Tricorn, then running Athrys's Embrace. The bow precision hits getting you the enhanced knife. Get a kill with the bow, then a kill with the knife, and you have 2x Golden Tricorn easily.

Isn't the origin trait only affected by grenade ability? Or do ignitions for some reason count as a grenade?

But if you're clicking heads already, wouldn't you want something that let's you click heads even faster? Archers tempo is a must on bows for me.

If Archers tempo feels great and works for you awesome. But getting head shots for free is so enjoyable. It feels like I have aim bot with my 100 accuracy stat bows.

While Tyranny is a great bow, no questions about it, on the content where guns matter, precision bows are just better. Oneshotting enemies and having more damage to pling long if needed is paramount. Also, the accuracy on lightweights is AWFUL.

You can one shot with explosive head and a precision shot. And guaranteed to one shot if you have radiant.

I had this drop with firefly/incandecent and as soon as I saw it, I knew it was a keeper. It is the best legendary bow in the game (for pve), followed closely by the strand one from the dungeon with explosive head/threadling. For pvp raconteur is king.
Firefly is only on kinetic weapons

A good possible pairing I can see with Tyranny of Heaven is running Archer's Tempo + Golden Tricorn, then running Athrys's Embrace. The bow precision hits getting you the enhanced knife. Get a kill with the bow, then a kill with the knife, and you have 2x Golden Tricorn easily.
Could you do a review of age old bond with dragonfly and destabilizing rounds? It’s a pseudo exotic with how well it shreds groups of ads
It's really good in PVP against pulses and hc's. Mine has 100 range and just shreds in lanes.
