brilliant comment i love the song ...................... should have been on their second cd ... too good to be just a b side its available on cd single but hard to get it ............
i remember getting the For You single as a gift and i was so excited because i wanted the single for THIS song. so good - all these years later it makes me feel alright in COVID19 isolation.
Electronic strikes me as what would have happened to "New Order" had it gone in the direction of Technique rather than re-trenching along the more rock-oriented route of Republic. Of course, Johnny Marr's guitar brings in all that one could possibly want in experimental rock so "Electronic" doesn't fall into the mindless techno dance rut that beleagers some groups. Hence you have an unleashed guitar doing remarkable things, plus Barney's melodic New Order influence and you end up with quite a special production. I've always been wary of a reunion, if only not to ruin the special "moment in time" -- but really the basics are so strong, this is counters that, and makes one think it could not go wrong. I even found "Bad Lieutenant" to be a solid entry in music, but I kept thinking -- "Some really cool guitar work would make this much better." Of course Johnny Marr has made the joke, "Barney and I are up for getting back together, but we just can't get the drum machine to agree."
Musically, he's phenomenal...Personality, he's a right cunt...but his 'dancing' nowadays (especially now that he's rather rotund) is THE VERY WORST! I adored the guy for many years, until I personally learned the TRUTH about him...
I saw a "homemade" b sides compilation last week when I was on Soulseek downloading. It was called "Second to None" I think. It had 9 or so bsides on it.
Why was this on a B-side. My favourite Electronic track. Should have released it as an A-side, probably would have been their biggest hit. Or at least should have appeared on 'Raise the Pressure'.
@bernardsumnerfan I agree. I only managed to like Electronic. I just couldn't love them like I do New Order. It just felt like they were missing something on most of their songs. This is one of the only songs that felt right to me.
It's on the Electronic - For You CD Single. Usually you can find one on eBay. Make sure you look closely. It's only on certain versions of the single and not all of them.
Quite arguably the best song electronic ever made
I so totally agree...

What would we be without these guys
This song just kicks ass. The keyboards are beautiful 3:37 till the end.
I have tears in my eyes. This is meaningful music.
Time for a Raise the Pressure reissue with all the b-sides and mixes!

For sure. I'd buy it.
Genuinely one of their best tunes. The fade out is magnificent
B-side my arse, should of been a single all day fuckin long. Loving the photos of barney, marr and the pet shop boys. Cool as fuck
Understated, unerrated masterpiece.
Another example of why B-sides are so celebrated.
+Disc Jockey
Don't get a b side on an mp3 ;)
BEST SONG OF THE WORLD
Oh my God. Im in heaven. Thank you so so much for uploading this.
One of the greatest songs ever made.
Hidden gem in an otherwise middling period for Electronic. Why this was relegated to b-side status remains a mystery to me.
god, there really is a lot of love for bernard. may it never stop
It just makes me fall in love (90s Bernard's voice omg 😭💔)
Bernard Sumner and Johnny Marr just makes me feel so Mancunian.
As you said, electro pop perfection...
Another fantastic tune underrated for its melody and classic Electronic.
Ver las fotos me dio mucha nostalgia los 90 hicieron q conociera a los mejores grupos británicos esto si es musica
Jezebel hewson kyriacos. tengo los 3 cds de electronic y viene esta canción en ningún disco y esta muy buena la canción
Jezebel hewson kyriacos ..great Song !
Es un b side
Nice
União perfeita do New order e Pet shop boys....fantástico!....maravilhoso som.. ...
this and imitation of life were decisively better than the 4-5 weakest songs on RTP, no question. The mind boggles...
Anyone listening in 2018?
SOTERO TRANCE me
listening,anytime
8th November. Also, first time I ever heard this, though I'm a big JD/NO/Electronic fan. Always nice to discover something new.
in 2019 too...
I am, in 2019.
*Flawless piece of Mancunian electro pop perfection* Great line
This should have been a hit!

Oh gosh, tuuuuuuuuune.....probably me favorite Electronic track.
Just a shame they only produced 3 albums......
Hidden GEM
The Karl Bartos (ex-Kraftwerk) influence is very strong on this particular track...
Great photo with the Pet Shop Boys
Tex Mayhem " Good Times....Good Times "
sumner is a genius.
Musically, he's phenomenal...Personality, he's a right cunt...but his 'dancing' nowadays (especially now that he's rather rotund) is THE VERY WORST! I adored the guy for many years, until I personally learned the TRUTH about him...
@@lavielemond What was the truth? Was it a personal experience towards you? Just curious - I don't particularly like/dislike him.
Easy Formula - Mixture of New order + The Smiths + Kraftwerk = Perfection.
This is my favorite Electronic B-side. "A New Religion" is a close second.
Wish there was a B-sides album of Electronic's songs
+Grant Gurney my fav song is lean to inside
+Shaina Karasik Love Free Will too. Awesome tune
I saw a "homemade" b sides compilation last week when I was on Soulseek downloading. It was called "Second to None" I think. It had 9 or so bsides on it.
hbombsgspot that's cool... I like that. I may decide to try my hand at an electronic tribute or influenced original act..
Me tooo!!
this is really great song, it just makes me feel alright
Beautiful song.Just like the band
Genial! Tengo los tres discos de Electronic , y los sigo desde sus inicios y no sabia que existiese esta canción.
Excellent - never heard it before...
Why was this on a B-side. My favourite Electronic track. Should have released it as an A-side, probably would have been their biggest hit. Or at least should have appeared on 'Raise the Pressure'.
proud to be a mancunian. bernard sumner like me was born in crumpsall.
Yes! I've never heard this one before. It's a great track! Thanks for posting this.
Great tune....overlooked..
PETS AND NEW ORDER...

Bartos, this incredible genius. Kraftronic, LOL

Top tune.
Bernard Sumner is a God
I miss the old day my new order and pet shop
@bernardsumnerfan I agree. I only managed to like Electronic. I just couldn't love them like I do New Order. It just felt like they were missing something on most of their songs. This is one of the only songs that felt right to me.

OF COURSE!!!!!
excellent.

thx for post KtownSoulboy. Nice photos; bass OK
genius.
combinação perfeita de Petshopboys e New Order esse som é otimo pra dançar a noite toda
I've always thought the chorus melody sounds like Paul Van Dyk's Forbidden Fruit.
Sumner/Marr/Bartos are credited in the sleeve notes for Forbidden Fruit.
@@doogledogable I just saw your reply now. Had no idea that explains everything. Amazing that an obscure non album single made such an influence.
@@MatthewBenson321 Right? Mind blown! 🤯
I like!
Bom demais.
Cela va me perturber mdrrr genius set
Always thought they could have ended it differently & added the instrumental keyboard bit again after the synthesised voice sound to fade out
Nice:)))
listen to that.
Bernard's vocals are so much better with a bit of reverb.
It's a shame New Order's Lost Sirens had none.
pet shop boys не участвовали в записи этого трэка,похоже
@ml2001 Sometimes with addition of Pet Shop Boys. )
For my royauté all right me there
Madchester.....
nice!
Dat friendchip
Only B-side? Damn it!
Good song. What yr. is this?
Where can I buy this song? Can't find on CD or iTunes.
It's on the Electronic - For You CD Single. Usually you can find one on eBay. Make sure you look closely. It's only on certain versions of the single and not all of them.
Can you say "Kraftwerk?"
should not have been b side.
