If things were to escalate the US would find itself in a dilemma. A large number of their CVNs are in for maintenance and the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) was re-tasked to the Middle East to try and de-escalate what is happening there.
An excellent briefing! Looking at the map I can’t believe some of the claims, not just China but Taiwan for example. But I guess we have two claims not far from there that don’t make much sense either! Anyway cheers & thx
China already warned Lloyd Austin at Shangri La in Singapore. The US is shit scared and will not invoke the MDT. If Pinoys come off 2nd best in any conflict, the Pinoys have already been told to publicly insist the MDT invocation isnt necessary.
@@AT-rs9jz Iron clad rhetoric but shit scared of losing ships and planes (especially F-35 which means global reputational collapse of 🇺🇸 MIC). PRC has superior space ISR, EW (DYOR of what recently happened), AWACS and hypersonic precision ship killers (Pentagon was given a demo in 2020) that made Mark Milley calling (in panic) his PLA counterpart twice in late 2020 (DYOR). The PLA has land, ship, sub and air launched hypersonic missiles to sink any US surface combatants guided and tracked from space. The 🇺🇸 can hardly prevail over the Houthi.
@@AT-rs9jz Yeah, just like they said they would not abandon Afghanistan, then did. Just like they are saying they will support Ukraine for as long as it takes. Eventually, they will leave Ukraine completely destroyed. Then move on to Taiwan and do the same thing
As well as land based aircraft, which require runways, China operates the Harbin SH5 and the Avic AG600. Countries bordering the Straits of Malacca do a lot of trade with China. They may not look kindly to hge USN trying to interdict that trade. Also China's ally Russia has established the Northern Sea Route, so Chinese shipping could utilise that route for its imports/exports. Also Thailand is talking about building a canal to cross the Kra Isthmus
I wonder what the CCP would say if Indonesia, the Philipinnes, Malaysia and Australia would follow the same lines of arguments as the CCP and close off all the sealanes to chinese (war)ships.
they don't have the naval capabilities to do that. the philippines navy is weaker than the chinese coast guard. they'd need the US navy on board, and the US isn't going to war with china for no reason. moreover, indonesia and malaysia have good relations with china. australia is too far as well.
@@thomas_jay yeah good luck with that. i'm not sure if you're aware of this but none of them have anything remotely close to 1. china's quantity of shipbuilding and 2. china's quality of warships. and again, indonesia and malaysia aren't going to agree with any of this.
Scarborough Shoal is too close to Manila. That is what makes the situation so dangerous. Fortunately China hasn’t militarized it yet. But if they do that’s when you know it is about to really go down
Any attack by China would be show of force before US could make declare war as decision would have pass congress. Although Australia could act quickly but China is not afraid attacking RAN warships, Australia should send F18G n jam islands that China was base on, sending message that we can play that game too.
The biggest problem for some Australians is that they don't understand the strength of their own country. They always think that with the support of the United States, Australia can intervene in anything, but in fact they are nothing without the United States.

At work but definitely watching this afterwards👍
I think because of china, Philippines want korean war ship and aircraft.

Who said their scared? They even reaffirm many times it's Ironclad.

Already militarized what are you talking about.
China does not want a war with the Philippines. They just want the islands that they claim.

Australia needs to donate its retiring ANZAC frigates to Philippines, Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam.
How about a detailed organisation of Australia's 10 brigade and its artillery units.
I did one on it about 4 months ago, titled "Australia's Missile Force".
