You may want to pause the meditation and spend more time in contemplation before journalling.
This exercise is inspired by Dialogue with Kali in "Awakening Shakti" by Sally Kempton. A book I highly recommend!

Kālī should be invoked with a pure heart and a laser fine focus on moving beyond ego. It’s like being on a tightrope. The spiritual ego likes to dress itself in costumes, play certain “spiritual roles”, present, speak or act a certain way, or tell personal stories to evoke validation and a reputation amongst other people, but it only does it to perpetuate ego. The ego doesn’t actually want it’s own destruction, but rather comes up with subtle ways to perpetuate itself. Ask Kālī to help move past all the subtle ego traps, burning them all behind you like fire, and into the “pure land.”

Paramahamsa Yogananda, the author of "The autobiography of a Yogi" described the symbolism as follows:
“Kali stands naked. Her right foot is placed on the chest of Her prostrate husband. Her hair streams out, disheveled, behind Her. A garland of human heads adorns Her neck. In one of four hands She brandishes a sword; in another, a severed head. Her tongue, usually painted a bright red, lolls out as though in blood-lust.”
“If we thought that this image depicted Kali as She is,” he continued, “I grant you, it might awaken devotion in very few devotees! However, the purpose of that image is to describe certain universal functions of the Divine in Nature.
Kali represents Mother Nature. She is Aum, the cosmic vibration. In Aum everything exists-all matter, all energy, and the thoughts of all conscious beings. Hence, Her garland of heads, to show that She is invisibly present in all minds.
“The play of life and death expresses Her activity in Nature: creation, preservation, and destruction. Hence the sword, the head, and a third hand extended, bestowing life.
“Her energy is omnipresent; hence Her streaming hair, representing energy.
“Shiva, Her husband, represents God in His vibrationless state, beyond creation. Thus, He is depicted as supine.
Kali’s tongue is protruding not in blood-lust as most people believe, but because in India, when a person makes a mistake, he sticks out his tongue....
Kali is depicted as dancing all over creation. This dance represents the movement of cosmic vibration, in which all things exist. When Kali’s foot touches the breast of the Infinite, however, She puts her tongue out as if to say, ‘Oh, oh, I’ve gone too far!’ For at the touch of the Infinite Spirit, all vibration ceases.
“Kali’s fourth hand is raised in blessing on those who seek, not Her gifts, but liberation from the endless play of maya, or delusion."
“The statues of Kali are not intended to depict the Divine Mother as She looks, but simply to display Her functions in the aspect of Mother Nature.
The Divine Mother is, of course, without form, though we may say also that Her body is the entire universe, with its infinity of suns and moons. She can also appear to the devotee in human form, however. When She does so, She is enshrined in supernal beauty.

It is a shame that yogic and tantric practices to do with Kali have often been totally watered down and appropriated by New Age, Hippie types, such as what is happening here. As if the whole practice is just a tool for yuppies to use to relieve stress, or as if the spiritual journey has ever been viewed as something easy and relaxing.

I think if you want to become even aware of Kālī it will take it will take a little more than 3 repetitions of a simple mantra. You want to try 20 Mala a day for 120 days. Or, 2 weeks of 12 hour daily chanting and yantra concentration with breaks only for toilet. That would be minimum. Even 52 and having attained my goal, my Sadhana is still 4+ hours a day. 8 to 12 and meditation before sleep.
But how do u live life meditating for 12 hours a day, I don't understand that

Accurate pronunciation of the syllables in any mantra is very important, otherwise it may cause damage instead. You must do vakshuddhi before getting into mantras.

We ARE NOT idolators {idol worshippers).. We are worshippers of the ACTUAL spiritual substance thaT, BY ITS' INFINITE MERCY UPON US, agrees to manifest itself imto a form that we have carved, that reminds us of a tale to do with it, in order to simplify our route to success when meditating on that pastime..

7. क्षमते सहते भक्तानाम् अन्येषां वा सर्वानपराघशान् जननीत्वेनातिशय-करुणामयस्वभावदिति क्षमा- संपूर्ण जगत् की जननी होने से अत्यंत करुणामय स्वभाव होने के कारण (क्योंकि माँ करुणामय होती है।) जो भक्तों को एवं दूसरों के भी अपराध क्षमा करती हैं, ऐसी देवी का नाम ही क्षमा है।
8. जिस प्रकार नाम वैसे ही भगवती का कार्य है। सबका कल्याण (शिव) करने वाली जगदम्बा को शिवा कहते हैं।
9. संपूर्ण प्रंपञ्च धारण करने वाली भगवती का नाम धात्री है।
10. स्वाहा रूप में (भक्तों से) यज्ञ भाग ग्रहण करके देवताओं का पोषण करने वाली देवी स्वाहा है।
11. श्राद्ध और तर्पण को स्वीकार करके पितरों का पोषण करने वाली भगवती स्वधा है।
इस प्रकार अनेक रूपों में भगवती भक्तों की मनोकामना को पूर्ण करती हैं। मनुष्य ने उनकी आराधना अनेक प्रकार से करना चाहिए। भगवती को बारम्बार नमस्कार करना चाहिए ।

These are Kali Mantras...
but the best and most famous one is oṃ kriṃ kālikāye namaḥ....🙏🙏🙏 You say it 108 times...Sit in the lotus posture aka Padmasana posture and you close your eyes and you recite the mantra with a mālā...A mālā is a necklace which we often call Rudraksha and it's made with 108 beads....I also recommend the idol of Kali Maa in front of you ... So you can focus your mind easily on her while you meditate....
You can also give her offerings like fruits, flowers and light up some essence sticks...You can ask her anything you want.... However, Mother Kali doesn't like people with ego and arrogance....She will help you conquer and control your feelings, ego and arrogance....She is the Mother of everything you see around you....Some people like to claim themselves to be Mother Kali's offsprings while others consider themselves to be Mother Kali's servants....but Mother Kali treats everyone the same, it doesn't matter if you are her servant or her offspring, she always consider you as her own offspring because you are her offspring...

I study traditional tantra rather than Hinduism but many aspects are the same. If you feel like going deep into the philosophy I’d recommend books by Christopher Wallis, who translates Sanskrit. He is a great English teacher of the path I follow, Kashmir Shaivism.💜
I'd suggest...go to a neaby Hindu Temple....sit there for a while and relax.
Cherokee New There are series of books, for completion words + practice + yoga( one which is easy on you).
Now 4 vedas with their further extensions,a collection of every upnishad available (there are atleast 200+ of them), 18 purans, 18 up purans, Mahabharat, Shri Ram Charit Manas, Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta.... all are important.
Try Geeta Press for reading in your language, may be you get them.
There are English versions (many versions) of the Bhagavad Gita (the Gita is a book almost every Hindu, if not all Hindus have). The Bhagavad Gita is essential in Hindu tradition. You can also purchase the English translation of the Mahabharata and the Ramayana (the two great Hindu Epics), the Vedas and the Puranas have English versions as well (also the Vedanta Sutra) and the Upanishads. If you want to find a really good book(s) introducing you to Sanatana Dharma (the real name for Hinduism) you can read A Survey of Hinduism by Klaus K. Klostermaiter, Studies in Hinduism by Rene Guenon and Hindu Gods and Goddess by Swami Harshananda (just to name a few...). Now you do have another Hindu (or Indian) text that are outdated from its traditions. The Manusmriti (scriptures of less authority). But you can also read that if you like, and you can also read The Dharma Shastra. And one more thing, I advise you watch a RUclips channel called Hindu Academy with Professor Jay Lakhani (he’s excellent in his teachings) and to start off learn the Gāyatrī Mantra.
Idk why but I pray to many gods and Goddesses but I love kali the most and I get her in my dreams that I became kali once and next time I caught a trishulam and I became kali and killed a demon and next time I got like I got blessings from parvathi and lord shiva and next time was a frictional parvathi turning into kali seeing a women harassed. These are my dreams . I get tears when I see her photo .

Hello, i am from Mauritius and want a help from you. Actually i know someone who is of 39 years old and is a lady. since 23 years she says that she can feel the presence of maa kali and actually she adores her a lot. everyday she has to offer the devi devdas with fruits and water in her mandir. She has a murti of kankar kali maa and her kuldevi also is a kankaar kali maa. but the issue is that she says she feels the presence of maa kali and she also says that maa kali guides her by saying things to her which actually comes true and whenever there a problem to come maa kaali makes her know by coming and she starts crying and saying things which comes true. when she goes to sleep she cannot sleep as she can see her going here from there in the house. she listens maa kali talking to her and she feels like her tired when she speaks a lot when maa kaali comes. i dont know if you can understand what i am trying to say to you. actually she has asked many priests for her issue and when ma kaali comes and when she starts talking she says that some can understand her and some are able to. there are many who have also fooled her but still she is searching for someone can understand her and can give her a solution of how to stop shaking her head. she suffers from stomach pain and feel suffocated when ma kali is about to come and talk. but when she calms down she feels completely okay. it is like a mystery for her and wants a solution or an answer for her issue. she only wants to know if all what is happening is actually true or what is that? but she says she has full confidence on her maa kali. if possible can you reply asap. thanks for your time.

The maa kali idol that you have is vama kali Or shamshaan kali...she has her left foot on shiva and her khadga ( sword) is her right hand. This form of kali is associated with shamshan Or cremation ground and should be worshipped by vama marg Or tantric paddhati. You should not keep this specific idol in your house. You should worship dakshina kali, a form of kali who blesses her devotees with her right hand, holds khadga in left hand. This form of kali worshipped by Ramkrishna paramhan.

Once a Demon Raktabeej [Rakta= blood , beej= seed] got a boon from lord bramha that whenever and wherever even a single drop of my blood falls on the ground, soil, any metal or any non metal thing etc. A new raktabeeej will be created.
After getting this boon he started killing everyone and he defeated many gods even tridev {Bramha, Vishnu, Shiva} were not able to defeat that demon. So they all worshipped goddess but she didn't come because they all were calling her in fear just to save them.
Then the raktabeej started killing humans once he was trying to kill a devotee of goddess Kali, and that devotee call her be just a single time with pure heart like a child, as a child calls her mother with a lovefull believe . Then Kali came in anger because her child was hearted by that monster but she finds that its not easy to defeat this demon . After cutting his head many new raktabeej were creating.
After in a couple of minutes a n army of raktabeej was created.
Now Goddess KALI'S Anger was on its peak and she become the most fearful of all.
Then she started gulping demons and drinking blood of that raktabeej so that not even a single drop of raktabeej's blood can touch ground, soil metal, non metal and any liquid. After a few minute the battle ground became empty and all demons and all raktabeejs were defeated.
