How to make a WW1 German helmet (M16 M17 M18)

- In this video i make a WW1 German helmet and show you how to do it for yourself. For this project you will need cardboard, fabric, paint, newspaper, hot glue, and plaster (optional)
the plaster was experimental for me and is not needed for the project but it does make the surface smooth.
WARNING: this helmet will not provide protection.
Please make more of these man!!!! Don't leave RUclips!. You should make a reversible camo jacket next! or an airborne Luftwaffe helmet!

@@marekandroniktracz-tryniec8020 Sorry for the very late 2 years reply, I tailored the greatcoat at my nearby tailor, and for the inner clothing I just wear a thin shirt and a long pants that I sewn with a strip of red fabric since the place I'm currently at is a tropical hell and I sweats a lot.
The rest of the props are crafted with cardboards and glues

Great idea, going to try similar techniques for a pickelhaube
I just completed this. It was extremely hard but persevered and made it. It’s not perfect but it look really cool. Took about 6-7 hours total of pure work time.

Great job as usual. I have some ideas that you could do if you want: gas mask canister (ww1 or ww2), Stielhandgranate M24 and a Pickelhaube :)

Hi! I don’t know if you have abandoned thins channel or whether you‘re working on something big / a massive amount of projects, but I really like this. I’m a bit late (4 years), but I just want to say that I could see this getting really big if continued. Somethings like the Pickelhaube would be cool, or the Brodie helmet!

to make a berndorfer, you could probably try to use the same m35 cardboard frame and then instead of trimming the rim make it the same angle all the way around the helmet

I really love this Stahlhelm you did a great job at recreating the helmet. sucks to be me I'm a 12 year old that loves WW1 and I don't know how I will know if I got the cardboard pieces right. Anyways love the helmet.
