    you can also use the video object for cutscenes

    This is definitely helpful! Oh, so you're making like a simulated cut scene, not having an actual video (not sure if GDev has that feature yet anyways).

      you could do this via a layer btw(aka create a layer make it lower than the base one then put the sprite in the later, that's the easiest way i can think of)

      @@__shadow__ I tried But I'm facing a problem and that is the player character Stops Mid way and then Continues Moving the Background isn't even moving with him, that problem really boggles me

    Thanks! Can you explain how you made the text boxes? I've been trying to used Yarn and I understand it in general but I get confused way too often when using variables with it.

    Hey! Can you please give some guidance on how to add timed sound to the cutscenes?

    • @TheGemDev
      @TheGemDev  Год назад +1

      i usually make use of a timer, or more recently the "wait" action.

    I didn't understand what you meant by that 07:15 . how do i get Gdev to ignore custom controls in cutscenes?

      Put a condition of a boolean value of a variable which says if a player can or can't move on their movement code (e.g. 'Right key is released & the boolean value of 'PlayerCanMove' is true = player sprite moves right')
