So true. If a kid hits a milestone, you tell the parent "They're pulling up and trying to take steps. They might be walking soon"

Trust me it’s common practice they do not tell parents. Either parents become depressed or you get this: screaming parents and being forced to constantly shove an iPad in babies’ faces to record any sudden firsts.

If a kid does a first of anything at nursery YOU DIDN’T SEE ANYTHING! Let the parent see it first at home so they can come to you all excited that they said a word or took their first step and you pretend to be so excited that they are doing that now and don’t say a word about them doing it at nursery/day care/baby sitting before the parent saw/heard it. Don’t rob them of that joy when they are all ready feeling guilty for not being there with their kid all day.

The kids are at the nursery and daycare because they have to be, not because the parents don't want to parent. They don't need to be reminded that the world is forcing them to miss precious time with their baby.

I'm usually with the truth, but this is one of those good lies. The second first time is as good as the first first time 😅

Don’t ever tell parents that they’ve missed a first for their child…it’s hard enough for the parent being away from their child and missing things

She could have just said to her! She wouldn’t have said anything to her! (The child)

I don't get this, sure it's nice to be there for firsts, but I'm just thrilled my child had their first. I'll be there for the 2nd or 3rd.
