This is yet another passage where we see the theme of Christians being slaves of Christ. Christ paid the price to buy us, he owns us, and we are under obligation to do his will. So we are his slaves.

The word that Paul uses would much better translate to bondservant. Essentially, God permitted people to sell themselves into slavery for a certain amount of time in order to settle debts. However, He added a clause that allowed people to become bondservants (the term Paul used) for life if they love their master. What Paul is saying isn't that we are forced against our will to do good works, but rather that we give ourselves up to slavery to Christ out of love for Him. Hope that clears it up

@@mk4630 The Greek noun Paul uses in Col 4:12 is doulos, which was the standard word in first century Greek for a slave. So 'slave' is an excellent translation.
I think in modern English a bondservant is really the same as a slave, but 'bondservant' perhaps softens the concept of slavery a little. However, doulos doesn't soften this concept at all, so 'slave' is better than 'bondservant' as a translation.
In Colossians Paul is writing to Gentile Christians whose background didn't include Old Testament regulations on slavery but did include the Greco-Roman practice of slavery. We should therefore should look to Greco-Roman culture as the background for what Paul says in this passage.
You are right that we should be Christ's slaves out of love for him, although this is not something that Paul talks about in this passage. He just mentions that Epaphras is a slave of Christ Jesus without going into any more detail.

Last Genesis sharing meant Genesis 7:17-24.

      Genesis 8:1-5
      "8 But God(😊100%❤)
remember Noah(😊❤) and all the beasts and all the livestock that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind blow over the earth, and the water subsided.
2The foundation of the deep and windows of the heavens were closed, the rain from the heavens was restrained,
