    I do a no buy about once a month. For a whole week I won’t bring anything new into my home and I’ll get rid of or donate anything I no longer want or use. When it comes to food that week I’ll usually look what’s in my fridge and pantry and try to make two massive meals out of it. I’m actually going through it this week starting today and later on will be making soup and fried rice to pair with spring rolls I’ve got in the freezer. I feel like I’ll get rid of almost everything in my fridge because of these meals then start fresh again with next weeks food shop! It saves me so much money and de-clutters my house so much!

    My healthy habit is definitely teaching my Zumba class. My regular job is high stress so having an hour a week where I can dance, sing, scream, hoot, and just let everything out keeps me sane. If I didn’t have Zumba, I would go crazy!

    I agree that being creative is such an important and overlooked healthy habit! It's good for your mind, heart, and soul. I'm with you on the piano, I'm not great at it, but it's so amazing to see the little improvements when I'm consistent with practicing. I also love writing and have been trying to write every day.
    In that vein, I feel like journaling is another healthy habit to add to your list. It is a great way to cherish and record good memories, and can also help you work out solutions to any problems you are facing. I think of journaling as my rough draft for life; whatever I put in the journal is for my eyes only and it helps me determine how I want to handle challenges and live my life. It is also a way to find your voice and become more eloquent and skilled in the written word.

      I also think journaling is a great way to work out your feelings when you're trying to figure something out. Once you figure out how to sort your thoughts, it's like a very basic therapist. (Obviously if you have deep-rooted issues, seek an actual therapist.)

    Hi Sarah! I recently have adopted another healty habit of my own: when I wake up I put my smartphone into my purse and I don't touch it until I get to work. While I'm having breakfast I try and read instead. It's a much better way to start my day! 😊

    I use a mixture of keratin conditioner, jojoba oil, coconut oil, sunflower oil and vitamin e once a week on my hair 💙 my hair is long and prone to split ends so a hair mask while I sleep does the trick!

    Something I do every night before bed is take a hot bath. Even if it's just water it helps relax me so I'm able to control my insomnia

    😂 I feel like most of the time I’m on a “no buy” streak. That’s more because I don’t have the money to buy anything than because I am actively aiming not to buy anything. That’s a great healthy habit for those who buy things on a regular basis though!

    have you ever tried bullet journaling, Sara? I just recently started and it has already had such a profound positive effect not just on my productivity, but even moreso just on my emotional well-being, stress, and times I feel overwhelmed. also, setting it up at the beginning of each month is so calming just in itself, and it’s really nice because you can go as simple and minimal or as artistic and detailed as you want. I find being a little more artistic in my journal really therapeutic. there are a ton of wonderful youtube channels about bullet journaling (AmandaRachLee, MyLifeinaBullet, Jenny Journals, and Jordan Clarke are some of my favorites, and they all have such different styles and ways of doing things), but also the creator of the bullet journal just published a book all about what it is, how it helps you, and how to start your own. I’m almost finished and I highly recommend it (as well as the audiobook, which he narrates himself!). even just reading and listening about it has felt really calming. :)
    also, I have this awesome “sit-stand” contraption at my desk at work that allows you to lift your computer and keyboard and everything from sitting height to standing and everything in between. I think you can buy them for home use! it’s been really awesome 💜

But when God allows that all to come into place, (which I am greatly looking forward to that season in my life) I’d like to be a stay at home mama, homeschool my babies, and be a Proverbs 31 woman!     A healthy habit of mine is walking at work during by break and lunch. As a busy mom, I’m not able to exercise when I get home so I like to do it at work.

    Healthy habits I do is to include a vegetable at every meal. I started doing this a few months ago and it has been so great. I have to be more creative with my breakfast in particular.

    Doing nothing...something I started to practice every day now when I have a baby, when he is taking a nap...no phone, no house chores, no music, just peace and quiet..:)
    Can you maybe make a video about working from home and being a stay at home mom, how much and when do you work, how to take care of kids and house and cooking, do you have any help.. how do you organize your day.. Would love to hear some tips from you!

    I am 67 I grew up in SOCAL(still live there)- 1.IT CC Creme- 50 Spf- (At about 45 I could no longer wear Minerals-
    made me look old).2. I use Avon- lip conditioner"-Beyond Color"- do not have old lady lips.I than put lipstick on.
    3.When you get older it is harder to keep stuff out of your teeth. Meat especially- Use Water Pik, floss, tooth picks;
    if not no matter how hard you try you might loose a back tooth. 3. Pilates reformer. Calming-rythmic, stretching.

    Healthy habits I do/like:
    1- hot water with lemon juice first thing in the morning
    2- fruits and nuts for breakfast
    3- read everyday
    4- walk outside
    I need to smile more and stop complaining about everything :)

    I am glad I am not the only who takes the time to do nothing. I'll just lay down on my bed & close my eyes, I'm not going to sleep per say but 'resting' 15-20 mins later I feel so much better & have so much more energy.

    Such good tips! I’ve been incorporating lots of these lately (since I got married). I LOVE doing a no-buy. Especially if I find myself preoccupied with worry or stress about finances in particular, it really takes that stress level down to have even just one or two days of not buying anything. I’m working on doing all these tips, but I think the one I can work on the most is standing more when I’m at home 😅. Thanks for sharing, Sarah! Lovely video, as always 😘

    I know I have to start incorporating the consistent sleep schedule into my life! I'm terrible at it! So far, apart from this video I've watched the one about minimalism and I'm already subscribed to your channel. I really like your videos, they help me stick to my path and do better. Also, you're beautiful :)
    One thing I want to share with you is: I lived in China for a year and every Chinese person will tell you to drink plenty of HOT/WARM water, they don't drink cold water as they think it's harmful to your body (as in, putting something cold in your 36.6C-degrees-warm body is a thermal shock). Also, they say that you should not eat and drink cold beverages and food when on your period or pregnant, as it has something to do with pain. Maybe you can try incorporate that and see if it makes a difference? :)

    Did you know most sunscreens or spf coverage in different things have a ton of chemicals in them that can be more detrimental to your skin than overexposure to sun? Zinc is one of those products that is such a natural coverage that is wayyyy better than a sunscreen.

    Komboucha fixes my fizz cravings! I brew my own at home. Healthy and satisfying!

      Happy Farms La. Komboucha isn’t recommended during pregnancy because it does have some alcohol in it from the fermentation.

      @@tiffanywheeler48 Komboucha has a tiny tiny amount of alcohol in it from the fermantion(dont know if I spelled it right) That why it's not an alcoholic drink. It's not recommended to start drinking it while you're pregnant but I think if you have been for years then a little bit won't hurt. But people should always talk to their doctors about it

    Such a beautiful video! We’ve started drinking seltzer waters for the past two years and that has been so nice when we are craving a fizzy drink. Standing more, that’s actually something I was thinking of today that I need to do more of! And the “no buy”, I’ve really gotta try that, I’m sure illnotice how much I don’t need something or how forgetful I was of the things that I do have.

    I love that soda stream!!!! I'm not a fan of sugared drinks of sweet stuff so I'm usually just buying sparkling water (with no flavor at all), but this it something I'm looking forward to buy! Living out of US I didn't know that stuff existed - so thank you soooooo much for opening new doors to me. :)

      Dulce Rodriguez all I do it juice 1 full head of celery every morning and drink it on an empty stomach. Don’t mix anything with the celery :) just pure celery juice

    I started trying the No Buy for groceries and personal items after whenever you last mentioned (yep you definitely did mention!) and I’m going to look in to Soda fizz machine to encourage my husband to give up soda. I don’t drink any, easiest calories to avoid for me.

    The fizzy water would be something I would try. I been trying to cut down on pop to get a cleaner face. The longest I went with no pop is 9 months. I always try not to buy that many things anymore, but I can't help it. I do read. Like you, I have never liked reading as a kid, but when my moma died I found a new love for reading (her favourite thing after me was reading)

    I know mexican spanish and muchachos means boys, but my recent visit to spain they say chicos that isnt gender fixated.its super cool!

    My healthy habit is that I spend 30 mins right after I come back from school relaxing with a nice cup of tea/coffee. Just sit, have your drink and look out of the window. I also go for a quick walk with my dog in those 30 minutes. And really, it helps me a lot to reenergize myself after a hard day :)
    P.S. I'm sorry for all my mistakes, English is not my first language 😅
