If you load weight onto the bed of the DM1U you can pull even more. The problem is the wheels start slipping if you dont have weight on the locos rear axle
I can picture this being converted into an RV or small house on rails. Just cut half the flatbed off, and extend the cab back to that section, and have the remaining half of the flatbed be a patio deck. Only downside is traveling on active company railroads if you want to travel long distance.
I mean it looks like the photo someone shared on the Altfuture discord of an eastern European railbus converted into a utility vehicle, except that one had cranes built in

The little champ hauled my derelict DE-6 home along with parts for the DH-4 and the S282, but it was just from CMS and pretty flat.
u can use F3 to fly cam no need to jump and spam f key
then u can press F1 to go back on train.

The quality is outstanding
Successfully used mine to pull a couple 130-150t hauls. I would very much recommend not going over about 140t

It's just a railbus, look it up. Cute little things. I hope we get normal railbusses at some point.
It is based of the German Vt95 and Vt98 railbuses produced in the late 50s.
