I passed my CCNA R&S exam a few weeks ago. I used CBT Nuggets as main studies and a CCNA Study Guide. Jeremy is awesome and very knowledgeable. His lessons were super clear and he made real world reference throughout the course which made it much more relevant. I am currently going through the CCNP R&S series taught by Jeremy.
I am preparing for ICND1, Through Jeremy what material did receive? I am trying to get his material or enroll in his class to help me pass ICND1, please let know, any material that Jeremy offer, mattjoe67@yahoo.com, thanks.
I never write comments but when you told your story about finishing school and going to work for pizza hut I had to say something, I am in the exact same position. I finished my degree in biochemistry and never want to see the inside of a laboratory as long as I live, so now I work as a delivery driver at pizza hut while I watch your videos and work on my CCNA. Thank you so much for sharing that story it really made me feel better about myself and that I am not alone in my position in life, thank you.
I am over forty and second that thought. I wasted a lot of time on jobs that paid really well but not were not what I wanted. I feel that this is what I was meant to do all along.
I am not into any of this stuff but it caught my eye your video is really informational, and you sound like a really good teacher who loves to teach and see others do well.
This video was very insightful, I'm graduating from university this october and i plan on completing my CCENT within the next 1 and a 1/2 yrs. Thank you for showing me the paths👏🏽
Excellent Video! As a former financial services professional, and in the midst of transition, I can appreciate both the industry trends I experienced as a market trader and the certifications which are possible to meet the skills demand of the future.....Bravo Sir!
That was a real nice pep talk towards me. I'm going into class next year to learn CCENT and CCNA among ceritifcation for MCSA 2016 server, exchange, sql,R&S cisco obviously and wordpress. But I'm thinking really hard to do CCT certifcation to get the basic understanding of CLI before I start on the private school. I also wondering why CCT is not on the chart of yours.
I completed my CCNA RS by watching ur videos.....but sorry for telling that I didn't payed for it and downloaded it from TORRENT... for CCNP surely IAM going to buy it.....seriously.....
hi.so I'm from Vanuatu, small country in the south pacific and this is my 7 month now in the states. Gateway college wont accept my credits to study computer network, cos they say its not of standard and want me to do GED which i think its too much time wasted and i really forgot the basics of chemistry etc and i think its too much time consuming. is it possible to get certified with cisco etc withou GED or HSD? just curious. ps: i started studying GED already cos i cant find a way around it. thank Show less
You need Windows to run Cisco Packet Tracer and GNS3(These are simulation programs). For basic configuration you can use Packet tracer, if you are up for a challenge as a beginner you can start using GNS3. And about wireshark- it is a packet capturing software which captures all the traffic on your LAN adapter. You might wanna take a close look at the captures. ARP, DNS, DHCP, TCP, IP captures which will really help you. Hope that clears your doubt.
I have a computer science degree and I just want to get a little more non technical understanding of how networks work is CCNA a way to go or should I just find a book and read it and call it a day ?
@@jakesaunders3614 Thank u for your reply, After checking the materials covered in CCNA I found that I already know 90% of it thanks to the CS degree and I realized its not recommended to go Into cisco route unless if I want to work as a technician and that would be a waste of my degree lol
I am really interested in networking, but have no idea on how to get started? I just heard that inorder to start your career in networking, you have to take a CCNA certification. Can you please explain to me what path I should be taking and certifications I should get?
If you are interested in Networking, and want to get a good understanding without a specific hardware/software platform, the Network+ exam is a great entry point. We have a full course covering the Network+ topics here: www.cbtnuggets.com/certification-playlist/CompTIA/network-plus-n10-007
Its like in business, to maintain the profits of CISCO, you are being obliged to pay for new certifications at every 3 years. They never lose and they feed always their mouths with this system. :)))
hello i have a question, i dont have hight school diploma .but my dream is to be network engineer, so my question is if a get ccna and ccnp . i will consider as an network engineer?
my CCNA R&S version 2 is expiring soon.. I am confused what next exam should i take...i am interested in CCNA security. But I am not sure should I take CCNA R&S version 3 before CCNA security or directly go for security? Suggestions anyone ?
I have been contemplating dropping out of college. I am learning absolutely nothing except basic HTML and conversions in my computer information technology class. I took Cisco for two years in high school, and routing and switching has been apart of my life since I was ten. I think that I am going to drop out regardless to save money, my sanity, and to pursue my dreams. I am asking for am honesty opinion. What do you think I should do? How do I go about getting my first positron after being certified with no experience? I will probably email this to you as well. I subscribed immediately after I watched this video, and I want to be a part of whatever services you offer.
if I've never really done any IT stuff aside from excel/word/etc, whats the best first certification I should obtain if I want to eventually be cisco certified? My step dad makes 500k being a network security engineer... I am 30 thanks
yeah. He worked at target for like 10 years getting min wage. Then got into this field after getting his bachelors and some certificates (degree was paid by the navy where he served). When he left target he started getting about a 6 digit salary and when he was 50+ it started being half a mil( he's now 60 or something). He is a contractor for the government with a team and he is the head of the team along with some other guy who makes even more. So he has a clearance. He does some stuff for airport security, not sure what exactly. I think he may have had some CISCO certifications a while ago but nothing big. Its mostly just experience for him, he is very clever and a hands-on guy, but not in any way intelligent. I would say he's more like just an expert electrician. Doesnt really know much about computers except the basics. I think he gets paid so much because he has his team and the government trusts him due to all the experience when I asked him how can I make as much money as you, he handed me an old book about switches/routers/etc one thing to note is his salary drastically increased when he became the head of the team. The people who work for him make like 70-150k as I understand. I cant say for sure but i think he started this field after he was 35
From what you said he sounds pretty clever, especially if he started after 35 when most people don t even think about starting new careers or so. I also think he read the right book that got him the success. Could you tell me the name and the author of the book? I am a starter in the field and it would be really useful. Regarding your question i found a very useful RUclips channel about how to start in Network engineering. This is the link: ruclips.net/video/ZGuSMui3ohQ/видео.html This guy is a college dropout and in very short amount of time he started making more than 100k, i am his subscriber.
i dont talk with him very much and see him maybe once a year so cant tell you the name of the book. But it was a very complicated book. It was essentially same thing as cisco's routing and switches, but it was just explained at an alot more technically difficult level and it assumed the person reading it already has a basic understanding.
My ccna will expire this month. I am looking into getting the ccna security but will take about 3 to 4 months of study before taking it. If I take and pass ccna security after my ccna expires, will my ccna get renewed? Or since the ccna is required for the ccna security certification, will I have to re-take the ccna even after I pass the ccna security test to receive the ccna security certification?
Unfortunately, if your CCNA expires this month, that would mean your ICND1 also expires, making you ineligible to take the CCNA Security. You will have to take the ICND1 first and then CCNA Security.
I took the CCNA Security exam today and failed. Now my old CCNA will expire before I am allowed to attempt a retake. In my understanding, I can take the ICND1 and then take CCNA Security. Is that correct?
1. Candidates who fail an Associate, Professional, or Specialist exam must wait a period of five (5) calendar days, beginning the day after the failed attempt, before they may retest for the same exam. - www.cisco.com/c/en/us/training-events/training-certifications/exams/policies.html#retaking_exams 2. Yes, ICND1 and then CCNA Security.
Q: What if I am currently CCNA certified and I schedule to take my CCNP exam 2-3 weeks after my CCNA expires. Will I still be able to take the CCNP exam?

Can you guys make an update on this video for 2020?
really a big thanks to u for clearing so many common questions
Thank you very much Mr Jeremy.
hey great video man but i have a question, what is the ccnav7 and how does it fit in the pyramid?
For CCNP recertification, do i have to clear all the three exams of ccnp or i can clear ccna exam and it will renew my certification upto ccnp level?

Ben loy, i also failed security exams 2 weeks ago, by only 20 points. What dumps did you prepare for your security exams? What was your exam Code?
Awesome video, thank you for your efforts, I want to Add, computer Science is a Journey, and Guys you need to be very patient
