This is an excellent video. Thank you for being so clear. I would highly recommend everyone who is interested in using Iridium Go and Predict Wind in their offshore adventures.
Brilliant video Keryn. You run the best customer support department of any company I've ever dealt with. I wish it were possible to clone you as there are so many companies that should have a support department like yours. Thank you so much for all the help you've given us.
Excellent step-by-step tutorial, containing the main and important. Congratulations!!! Take advantage of consulting: can the Marine Antenna be installed under the raincoat? Eugenio From Chile
Looking for specific « How to use the SOS, SMS and Voice Calls… ». It actually isn’t explained. Can do you point us to an actual « how to? ». Thank you!
As I am watching this, I am seeing a basic design flaw - the GPS antenna should be on the side so this can be mounted vertically. This would be the best way? Yes?? What bulkhead near the chart table has a flat mounting area? None in my boat. And secondarily... there should be an external GPS antenna - would take care of this problem. Can't believe it was designed this way.
Great Job- One question should we buy a separate phone {number} so we don’t get phone calls through Iridium that I would not want to while out at sea? Thanks
You do not explain how to set up the email. there is a whole page of settings such as user name, password, reply email, server settings etc etc. if I follow your instructions it just says cannot connect to server, even when I am connected to the iridium go already, so obviously i am missing something
With the eternal fixed aerial connected, is it still necessary to install the iridium-go unit with its aerial pointing up, and would it still be necessary to lift the unit aerial to activate the device? Thanks.
Keryn, when you say the minutes « roll over to the next month, « does that mean if I do not use them, I do not lose them and the unused minutes roll over to the next month? Where can I see all of my accumulated minutes? (I’ve used 3 minutes over the past 11 minutes!)
So many caveats about delicacy and placement. When will you design a version that is rugged enough for marine environments? Vertical mounting. Rugged cabling. Sealed electronics.
This is a master class for other tech companies on how to do a proper "how to" video....
A MOST PROFESSIONAL presentation.

Does it still matter where you mount the iridium go inside if you use the external antenna?

Hello, what would the portal page would be?? Thank you

Why have an external when you can mount the unit by a window??
How does the iridium server stop spam?
