You think about how much effort and work this man put into everything, just to have everyone look down on him when hes struggling rather then respect him and wish him well
My buddy used to mispronounce it as “Gar-brond” because he was so flashy. His performance against Cruz was nuts. As far as the concussion, I hope to god if you break it you can fix it.
@ Watched it with my brother. I actually worked up a sweat a few times where Dom and his brother (also a bad ass) trained. Huge fan of Dom even his commentary, but he got his ass whipped and he’s man enough to admit. Just a great performance.
It was quite shocking and pretty sad to watch how quickly he started to drop off after the Dominic Cruz fight, that fight was one of my favourites that year. He did have a few good wins here and there but after the run he went on to get the belt, it's got to be one of the quickest rise then falls in the ufc. I think the way he stood and traded always trying to load up and rely too much on that knockout punch left him vulnerable to the inevitable knockouts that came anf he never took the time to properly recoup from those ended up leaving him too easy for other highly ranked guys to finish. Like I said though his run to the title is still a fun one to watch.
MMA is just bizarre like that. Guys can be on top of the world for the longest time, and then fall off a cliff in the blink of an eye and never be the same again.
well, he showed the IQ and restraint in the fight with dom. he just sees red and can't control himself and getting KO'd twice by a PED cheat can do that to you...
Basically he wasn't willing to adjust his fighting style the way he fought Cruz was like perfect he could have had at least 5 title defenses but he gets easily suckered into brawls! I call him the bantamweight Justin Gaethje difference is Justin actually made adjustments and the results helped him a lot this dude is too far gone at this point been KOd too many times
I dont get the hate on Cody. He is fun as hell to watch, he was the undisputed champ and won in one of the most spectacular fashions ever. And he is cringey at press conferences. He rules. He is just older now. Who cares. He had one of the best careers in the organization relative to everyone who has fought for UFC
Cody was overrated and over hyped. He fought cans. 48 47 a gimpy Cruz. If Cruz is healthy, Cody loses and maybe Cody works on his skillset besides his average boxing skills. Instead Cody fights a monster like TJ and gets exposed. The excuse that Cody got KOd early on is pathetic. Fighters get rocked sparring!!! Cody had terrible defense. And a medicore fight I.Q. Period
If we’re being honest , Cody beat Cruz cause of all the downloaded date his team had on Cruz , cause they all lost to him. Cody is good. But he wasn’t as great as we made him out to be from the get
First off, theres nothing thats going to reverse CTE or brain damage. I don't think Joe understands how complex the human brain is and how we still know very little about it and how every human being is unique.
It was actually the opposite. He had a massive overtraining problem and it lead to massive breakdowns in his ability to recover but he just kept training. That’s why he looked like trash.

The fight business seems sometimes extra ruthless. It was such a stacked division back then.
Win or lose I'll still watch his fights.
Cody is an awesome fighter!!!! I noticed his downfall when he started fighting with too much emotion
Drugs cheat dillashaw ruined him..
He became a champ most importantly nothing bad, a great career
Facts brother. All his losses are against names even casuals know. Great fighter.
What happened?…..his chin.
😂
They're discussing why his chin went you fucking genius
Yup. Should have grown his beard out for fights like Jeremy Stephens, but he wanted to look like a pretty boy
Brain damage is real 💪.
He falls in line with fighters who are chinny.....Cody, Johnny walker, Alistair, amir khan.
That drugged up tj fight changed his career
My buddy used to mispronounce it as “Gar-brond” because he was so flashy. His performance against Cruz was nuts. As far as the concussion, I hope to god if you break it you can fix it.
The fight against Dom is one of the best fights I’ve ever seen. Watched it at a party and people couldn’t believe the dominance that Cody showed.

@@HAST0408that wasn’t a great fight it was one sided.. you guys were just drunk
@ it was an amazing display of dominance over the best 135 fighter in UFC history. That’s a great fight to me
@@HAST0408 entertaining yes.. maybe you haven’t seen many fights.. This won’t be on anyone’s list of one of greatest but to each their own

Cody's natural talent, and athleticism couldn't make up for his absolute lack of fight IQ.
well, he showed the IQ and restraint in the fight with dom. he just sees red and can't control himself and getting KO'd twice by a PED cheat can do that to you...
Felder is third-cousin of Wolverine.

Dude actually has a pretty good comeback after a string of ko losses. Respect..
And even though he got subbed against figgy, he’s not had any damage in those fights. I agree he’s been doing good
He’s kinda back, last loss wasn’t that bad
He's never been "back." Those wins were against complete scrubs that had no business in the UFC and he looked awful against Figgy.
@ was out striking him before getting subbed, and I’m sorry but who the hell are you to call them scrubs?
Cody was overrated and over hyped.

Period
H8s neck was damaged in that stupid game the played on the ultimate fighter can't move his head anymore.

a very sad decline
He lost twice to cheating EPO TJ and was never the same
First off, theres nothing thats going to reverse CTE or brain damage. I don't think Joe understands how complex the human brain is and how we still know very little about it and how every human being is unique.
What? Joe has been transparent about the fact that he stopped kickboxing to save his brain.
Your comment is a bit ignorant
its like anything else - we're not all the same based on gene expression alone
Paul felder never touched gold
Like Cody did.
You never touched gloves in the ring, so what's your point?
His striking discipline is trash! He doesn't know how to control his emotions.
UFC 285? OLD video lol
TJ Dillashaw took the shine off Cody ! Whooped his ass ! 😂
With steroids
EPO which pretty much means he would have had stamina for days, that’s what all those Tour De France cyclists did for recovery and stamina
Saved by the bell + EPO
TWICE
TJ sample.feom those fights were retested.
Clean
Stop the excuses. Lol
His ego happened
Too much time getting manicures and eyebrow trims and not enough time in the gym
You wouldn’t tell him that
Too many keyboard warriors telling professional fighters what they should be doing not enough time training for themselves. 🤣
What tell the truth? His performance took a dive the more dolled up he got.
It was actually the opposite. He had a massive overtraining problem and it lead to massive breakdowns in his ability to recover but he just kept training.
That’s why he looked like trash.
Cody was mentally destroyed by juicer TJ Gynoshaw !
