Coach Roddy taught me how to swim. I proceeded from one level to another, I felt like I was really progressing. I got to the last level where I had to jump into the deep end. I sat there paralyzed with fear. I knew I couldn't drink all that water. He said, "You'll thank me later" and all of a sudden I found myself in the pool. He gently pushed me in and I knew I had to sink or swim and swim I did!!!! Thank you Coach. See you in the morning.

We are South Africans who are New Zealand citizens and living in Auckland currently. Mr Roddy and his family were a great support for our family while Hillary Baatjes my husband was studying theology at Oakwood college. To Norma, Jordan, Jamie, Cari, Jeremy and Katie we are sorry for your loss. May God comfort you and give you peace. The same to your spouses and the grand children. 😇🙏🏽💝
"To be intentional about loving us", that's always what stuck out with me about the Roddy family. From my high school days through college. God be with the family in this sad time. But we look for that day when our faith shall be sight.
Regarding Mr. Roddy, I thank God that He allowed our paths to cross, however short a season it was. I cherish the memories of him that I hold in my heart. From the beginning of his tenure at Oakwood I held him in high regard for his boldness in relocating his family to Huntsville and becoming an Oakwoodite. In time he proved to be not merely an apt member of the faculty, but also a true member of the Oakwood family. I always wondered how my father spotted him and determined him to be a perfect fit. Whatever it was, I am grateful that the recruiter and recruit came to terms. Roddy family, my wife and I offer you our heartfelt condolence and pray that God will comfort you in this time of your loss. ~ Frank W. Hale, III

Very fine tribute to a very fine man. Thanks to the OUBN team and Minuteman Press in Huntsville.
