The turn based is amazing. That format fits so well, and is a refreshing alternative to the 10+ other games that are brawlers.

very cool to see a behind the scenes. Like how the writer is supervising the Voice acting process as well, they know the story best so it makes sense.
    Thank you for showing this

Like A Dragon 8 has been in development for just over a year now, huh. That's interesting, wonder if we'll get a first look at the game in the near future.

Most Yakuza games are made in less than 2 years, yakuza 2 took 364 days

@@loloshua RGG studio has mentioned that Like A Dragon 8 is their biggest project yet, and they've revealed a 2024 release date without mentioning the exact day or month.
All of this makes me think that it's gonna be released around late 2024, and that more previews will be around the latter half of 2023. We'll see when it happens, though, the sooner the better.

@@swapniljoshi99 it was only a matter of time until they would try to make a game bigger than Yakuza 5, hopefully LAD8 doesn't suffer from the same issues 5 suffered due to size (don't get me wrong, 5 is amazing and Shinada is cool)

From what I can gather from this Behind the Scene:
    - Ichi is working as a receptionist at Hello Work when he's interviewing Sasaki, former member of the Hiwatashi Clan (probably because of Tojo Clan and Omi Alliance disbanded from last game)
    - Something happen while he was working there than he was laid out.
Doesn't seem to have any resemblance to the Teaser for LAD8 but ok.
Still very intriguing to see how they are working behind the screen, and I guess we can expect good thing in the future with the way they go now.

In the 2022 Rgg Summit, they showed some more scenes for LAD 8 at the end of the event and this story you wrote checks out with the few scenes they showed. One of these scene's shows Ichiban emerges from a fountain with a bill. My guess is he's either he's in a bad financial situation like maybe getting laid off, or some counterfeit bill plotline again. Either way, super excited for 8

This is very insightful and super interesting! Especially the attention to detail in the voice-acting; it has always been one of the points that drew me into the series and it makes sense why now. I hope there are many more episodes in the works, thanks for sharing!

At 7 minutes in It's really impressive they make that effort with blocking and business, it's a major aspect of good filmmaking so you don't just have characters standing in place in shot reverse shot rambling lines like bad movies or going full star wars prequel haha
They need to move, change positions, interact with the set

After watching this, my love for the series makes so much sense. You can tell the amount of love and passion that was poured into these games. With a guy like this directing and being part of EVERY aspect, there's such an attention to detail with the emotion and characters. Damn, this is really one of my favourite series' of all time - I hope they keep making games for years to come.

With the exception of 3, I beat all the games and judgement spin offs. Yakuza(7): Like a dragon has my favorite story so far. It's so good.
Especially knowing Nishiki VA voices Ichiban. Like his soul was brought back for redemption.
Only the grinding was a bit annoying to get the team comp with transferrable skills I wanted 😔

So I take it the Xbox one version of ishin isn't getting any patches. PS4 and PC were patched to 1.03 and fixed pretty much everything and that was only two days after the game released.
Granted the problems on xbone aren't game breaking. But it still makes me feel like playstation 4 and PC users are having a better experience than Xbox users albeit slightly. Frustrating
And unfortunately it's difficult to know with AAA devs these days. Even though I hold r.g.g in some of the highest regards I still have to be weary of them because of other AAA devs debauchery.

Maybe take more than a year to make a game and maybe stop trying to make 3 at a time?
    Stop recycling assets?
Then maybe your games won't be halfbaked and your silly speech about being the best will be justified
