    I'm going to have my client install the Pro version. Do you have plans to create a full tutorial discussing the features that are different on just the Pro version? I hope so!

    Hi rino Thanks for such a nice tutorial, I watches all your videos on the same day you upload.
    I have a question that do you firstly make website on your hosting and then transfer the website to client and add them as a user? what you do?

    • @rinodeboer
      @rinodeboer  2 месяца назад +1

      Thank you! Regarding your question: It really depends on the situation, sometimes you can develop on their hosting right away, sometimes that's not possible and then a transfer is necessary.

    10:14 Rino urging me to join a network of known hackers, hmm that escalated quickly, guess I'll just leave that option unticked for now~
    Seriously tho, excellent walkthrough, thank you!! Also BIG YIKES Solid Security costs a lot of moolah! Hoping that'll somehow improve at some point 😅

    5:10: Solid Security Pro allows you to update your plugins using the version management feature. However, I don’t recommend enabling it for important sites. Instead, only enable updates when a vulnerability is detected through the Patchstack integration.

    Wordfence user here. Can you do a comparison video? I do backups daily and then updates ( old IT pro 😀 ), I'm new to Wordpress ( 1 year) so a steep learning curve. I'm constantly looking for the latest. So why Solid over Wordfence?

    • @justindouglas3659
      @justindouglas3659 2 месяца назад

      Tbh i thought about trying solidwp too but my conpany uses wordfence for all the websites. I would it's a nice feature to have patchstack and passwordless login those look like really nice features imo.

    • @rinodeboer
      @rinodeboer  23 дня назад +1

      This plugin uses Patchstack. It’s integrated in it. So I would say this plugin is more complete. Patchstack is just focused on Vulnerabilities as far as I know

    A bit off-topic. What software are you using to get this screen sharing and webcam layout?

    • @rinodeboer
      @rinodeboer  2 месяца назад +2

      Right now I am using Tella, but I am not 100% satisfied with it. So now I am just using the build in screenrecord features from Mac and quicktime to record my iPhone's camera (with continuity camera)

    • @rinodeboer
      @rinodeboer  2 месяца назад +1

      Totally understand the confusion, that's why I like to focus on one tool. But I would say go for Webflow is you have experience with development, go with Wix Studio if you want to keep things simple, and go with WordPress is you want the most flexibility. But Wix Studio is probably the easiest to start with, even though I am not a big fan of it.

      Don't believe all the noise. WordPress is still the number one platform in the world, Webflow and Wix are very small compared to WordPress.

      If you're just interested in making design tweaks to UI elements (like where the plugin presents a 2FA prompt), then I'd recommend you contact SolidWP Support. If it's a situation where you're looking for us them to add a feature, we now have a public feedback system where people can submit new feature requests and upvote existing ones so that they can take into account what people are asking for. But I would start with Support, the Support team can either help you directly or assist you with getting a feature request added.

    For those using VPNs be careful adding authorized IP addresses because if you add your won IP, the VPN may change it, so it could lock you out.

  • @DanZL1

    ASE does not have a 2FA option, does that not make it less secure?

    • @webgeneral
      @webgeneral 2 месяца назад +1

      No, 2FA makes WordPress more secure, but not a single plugin. But it would be great if ASE would offer 2FA...

    • @rinodeboer
      @rinodeboer  2 месяца назад

      Like I said in the video, a dedicated security plugin is always better than a tool like ASE who offers some simple security features. 2FA is definitely safer. I use ASE mainly to make the WP interface nicer, not so much for security, even though they have some nice simple features.
