As an Austrian, from my point of view only the United States of Austria solution could have maybe worked to keep the empire as one country, with everybody as equals and largely autonomous. Today, neither Eastern nor Western Austria has the slightest interest in dividing into two tiny countries, Austria being small enough already. Who has an interest in spreading this kind of malicious propaganda worldwide?
