Two losers and two losing players at the highest level -- you cannot trust either one of these guys can win you a title or be part of a title-contending team because they'll do something to screw it up. Next.
CP3 is the most overrated player in any sport of all time. John Stockton led the league in assists 9 years in a row, all time steal and assist leader, and was never injured... I honestly don't know what more you could ask for in a PG.
Idk what you hear most people say about CP3, but he isnt much overrated imo. High IQ, elevates his team, great facilitator. However, not great on Defense. When his team struggles in a game, he struggles to help them re-establish momentum. Great player, but plenty above him on this list imo. Also, John Stockton was my first thought on this topic. Definitely near the top if not the top.
pretty hard to be underrated when every possession is Stockton to Malone or Stockton to a wide open shooter…. 😂 Don’t think he was really doing all that
@@PrinceTalonSabre Most people I see/hear have him in their top 3 PG's, many even claim he is the best. His IQ is mid, he doesn't actually elevate his team (this is something sports media pushes and casuals parrot because they have it drilled in their heads), his defense is mid for a guard, and he is one of the worst stat padding players in garbage mins that i can think of other than Dame, and he is always injured. In CP3's prime, he was getting out played by old PG's at the end of their careers in the playoffs.. The dude has been surrounded by some of the best players in the league in their primes. He couldn't get out of the 2nd round of the playoffs until he joined prime Harden who just came off an MVP year and was a multiple time scoring champ... and Capella who was in his prime.. on a team who went to the conference finals the year before. His time on the Clippers he wasted prime Griffin and DeAndre.. On the Clippers his stats were so inflated, anyone who has ever played PG knows if they were in his position they would have done just as good if not better.. Lob City wasn't Lob City because CP3 is so good at assists.. it's literally because they had rim attackers in the prime of their careers where all a PG would have to do is throw it up towards the rim and you'll get the dunk. He had the easiest job of any PG ever with that roster, and his stats reflect it. Those Clipper teams had many great players on them. He goes to Houston and didn't make them better, he actually made them worse. Then he goes to OKC and loses to Houston in the 1st round lol. After being there 1 year, he then goes to the Suns.. The Suns the year before CP3 went there, got shafted out of the playoffs despite being the only undefeated team in the play in. The Suns had been team building for a few years and had a solid young team... CP3 goes there and he immediately gets all the credit for "taking" them to the playoffs.. So much credit, that ESPN and sports media wanted to put him in the running for MVP despite having lower than average stats and at best being the 3rd or 4th best player on his team.. They make it all the way to the Finals with CP3 suffering injuries (every game CP3 didn't play in the playoffs that year, the Suns won). They get beat pretty easily by the Bucks and the following year the Suns organization (probably with the influence of CP3) start destroying the team of young players they built up, and ended up ruining all those players careers in their prime. He ruined Ayton, Cameron Payne, Bridges, and probably cost Booker his only chance at a ring. After completely dismantling the Suns and filling them up with injury prone high costing players past their prime, he then goes to Golden State and does absolutely nothing and helps them to 10th place in the West. Leaves Golden State, and now he is on the Spurs.. Notice anything about Spurs right now? Do you see how the media is talking about how Wemby is going through a sophomore slump and nobody knows why he isn't preforming like he did his rookie year? I feel like I am the only person who watches basket ball who knows and sees the coincidence.. It's CP3 destroying another man's career. The dude does the opposite of elevating his team. He is a notoriously dirty player, and he isn't a great teammate because you can see all the teams he has been traded around too and what happens when he is there.. He has been a media darling since his rookie year. People say he carried the Hornets when he played there, when in reality he played with multiple all stars and great players.. and never got out of the 2nd round and was constantly shown up in the playoffs or getting injured. He got all star selections playing 45 games.. The dude has always been overrated... I'm not saying CP3 isn't good, not saying he isn't a great ball handler, not saying he sucks or anything like that. I'm simply saying i have never seen a more overrated player in any sport ever. He has played with so much talent he has no excuse not to have a ring. Any other all time great PG would have at least 2 or 3 rings (honestly probably 4) playing on the teams he did. Where as you see people questioning how great Jokic is... CP3 never got that. Since his rookie season the media has played it out that CP3 is the best "true PG" in the league. Jokic has never played with another all star in now his 10th year.. Look at all the all stars CP3 has played with, not too mention the HOF'ers. People crap on Embiid for never getting past the 2nd round.. It took CP3 12 years and going to a team that had just went to the WCF the year before. It took CP3 going to 3 different teams, multiple all stars, and finally playing with a scoring champ/mvp, prime Capella, Eric Gordan, PJ Tucker, Trevor Ariza... and only playing 58 games that season(on the number 1 seed in the west) to play in his 1st conference finals game.. It might seem like i'm saying a lot here, but if i were to break this all down to advanced metrics and opposing PGs that have shown up CP3 in the playoffs... It would probably be a couple hours worth of reading. He has been an all star caliber player a few times, but a great bulk of his stats and accolades are so inflated from doing pretty much nothing but being surrounded by talent.
@@definitelynotaweeb1111 No one said Stockton is underrated. Many NBA players say he is the best PG of all time and one of the toughest/hardest workers ever to lace up on the court.
Kidd definitely better than Nash but between Kidd & cp is tough because they were both 2 way chris probably better scorer but kidd better defender due to size & he got that chip & had longevity as well I think Cp slightly better tho because he did get robbed of playing with Kobe for no reason at all Paul Gasol alone was better than anyone they ended up getting
Kevin Johnson is better than cp3 he's by far the most underrated point guard of all time
Imma say Chauncey Billups
It’s the longevity. Paul gave you a decade even with the knee injury. Kevin gave you what a good 3-5 years?
Tony parker is the point god
