I remember going to this girl Ashleys house. I told her I needed to go outside b/caz I couldn't breathe. She says, "Ya I know the weed smell is strong" No baby girl it wasn't that. I tried to tell her as nice as I could, that it was urine smell, but she disagreed. I was there for 5 min & I had to call my son & tell him to call me saying there was an emergency & I had to get home. They had 15 bunnies, & I lost count of the cats n dogs & they would all run around in the house. There was poop all over the floors, tables, smeared on the walls, just everywhere. I thought if I went into the bathroom, I would be ok, but there was poop from top to bottom in there a well. We grew up w/animals, but was raised it they had an accident on the floor or wherever, you clean it up right away. These people didn't. They wanted to smoke before they left, but seeing all the cat shit on the table, along w/the hair, who knows what we would be smoking outta the joint. I didn't want no part of it. At the time she was trying to get her kid back, but I was sick to my stomach even knowing she wanted to bring a 2 yr old into that. As we were leaving she gets up & doesn't even care she was rolling around in dog shit, while playing with the cats. When I asked if I could see pictures of her daughter, thats when I noticed there where urine stains & even poop on the floor. They couldn't clean it up for the little girl or for the pictures. When I asked how her relationship was with her mother, she laughed & said "I can't live w/my mom, but her "53 cats can" I was like "oh does she got a farm or something, why so many cats?" Ashley just said, "she was always like that" No she just loves them & everyone she seen over the yrs, she took in. When I lived w/her, I let 2 out on accident, so she kicked me out b/caz they never went back home, & was never found, she said after that, she never gotten alomg with her mom. After learning that, I see why Ashley thought it was normal. You usually grow up living the way you were raised, not everyone, but most. We always grew up in clean houses. If we got fleas from our animals, my mom would flea bomb or do whatever to fix the problem. Ashley was bite all over from fleas, when I asked what she was gonna do, she says, "nothing Hope, they're fleas". It's sad (heartbreaking) knowing she grew up in that situation & now that she's an adult, she's see's nothing wrong with it. Sad part is, there's a chance her daughter will grow up being the same way. I really like Ashley & tried to help her, but we lived differently & hanging out w/her I was afraid I was gonna bring some visitors home, that I didn't want. I wish her that best. I know the guy she was with last, she robbed, then left state to be with abother man, leaving her daughter behind. Idk if CYS gave her mother the kid or if she just left the kid from the start. If it was CYS then they should be ashamed of themselves leaving a child in a liter box basically, but Im not sure. I try not to hate on anyone, even tho Im good at it. I really wanted to help her & be her friend, but sometimes it best to push people away. Later on I learned, well nevermind. I put way too much down already.
