Ok but Gracie, I was on the subway and this song came on, and I was staring out the window at the lights and it was getting dark...and I saw a scene I didn't know I'd never seen before. It was this deep heavy darkness, like two thousand feet deep into a plain where the stars are so far away. The piano and sad human existence in the words "I am lost", just omg, I never felt this aesthetic before!
Awesome pathos, I'm obsessed.

This had such a profound impact on me. She put into words what I couldn’t say while still being very implicit. The way I interpret these lines is that she’s talking about learning to “forget about” her body, possibly to let go of the critical eye with which she views it. The “hard way” is feeling like a zombie from undereating, over exerting with workouts, or whatever it might be for you. And the last line, I don’t even need to talk about. Talking through that story is one of the most difficult things.

A twist on the lyrics at the bottom based on my experience:)
I ended a five-year relationship with a narcissist. He lives in the UK, so I visited him in the summer. After I came back and completely cut him off, I listened to this song on repeat because I found myself the day after I came back from the UK.
I am no longer lost, I finally found myself after five long years of drifting in an endless, black abyss.
I have always wanted to travel worldwide and as soon as possible. (I'm 21). After coming back home to the US, I fell in love with wanting to travel around the US. So, I made plans with one of my favorite cousins to go to San Fransisco, California, in the summer instead of Italy (it is on my top bucket list because I love Italy so much). I am planning to go on a cruise, to go see the Northern Lights, and road trip with my sister and friends to every state in the US. Road trip up North and skiing, going to live by the beach to experience that kind of life of waking up in the morning to surf and watch the sunrise. I found happiness right here, and I am experiencing feelings toward many things I never thought about. Now that I have freedom, I feel like I am on the train ride of my life, heading further away from him every day.
Narcissists don't give you closure, but I got back at the end of the summer. Fall was around the corner, but the leaves changed as I did. I have closure now. My past doesn't hurt me, my past doesn't haunt me. He isn't proud of his choices, but I am proud of mine. My greatest revenge was leaving for my peace and healing. Karma is good to those who are good.
