I've heard these guys started playing after their community was swept by a massive flood in Bacolod, Philippines were thousands died. And to cope with the difficult situation, they started to learn music to entertain people swept by flood.
Tacloban, Philippines. Not Bacolod. Those were days when super typhon yolanda ravage most of Visayas Regions in 2013 with beating exceeds 300kph and created surges like tsunamis @ estimated exceeding 3Mts high destroyed hundreds of house along and beyond the coasts.
