I can't tell you how many hours I've sat and waited between the mainlines trying to cross. About a month ago the gates came down, after six trains in a row and a little over an hour we got to go only to get stopped at the next set of tracks south of that and sat through another train. We were building the new cross-over bridge down by the casino's and had to truck on railroad property to reach the backside. Three hours to get in, 15-minutes to unload, 3-hours to get back out. Hopefully once we are done with the new bridge over the tracks, they'll move us onto that and shut down that back road because it's just too dangerous.
i love the way you did this video. i usually fast foreward through them unless unusual freight cause its the same ole same ole,oil cans coal hoppers n refers good job thanks
This issue is very frustrating. Trying to get onto and away from the beach area has become a game of chance. For some reason train conductors seem to think it's okay to sit on the tracks at the intersection on lake street for up to 45 mins. One night a train sat on lake street and county line rd at the same time for over 30 mins and these are the only two roads in or out. This happens on a nightly basis. An ambulance with sirens on had to sit and wait with patient in the back being tended to by the emt.
I'm using this video to teach some of my friends the differences in train horns and what each train is by its horn, so thank you for this video!
Cool
