Brighton UK. He really popped off after Hi Ren and it came out in Dec. '23. Ren alone and with the band he was in did a lot of busking on that street and a few other streets in Brighton. The busking videos were before Hi Ren.

The clip of Ren busking is in Brighton on the south coast of England, his home for a number of years, although he is originally from a small island off the coast of north Wales. Lol, that guy wasn't scared of him, that's typical British reticence. I disagree that Ren is just naturally a good singer. I think it comes from a huge amount of practice and study. He did an interview with Chris Liepe in which he said he had taken voice lessons. I know what you mean when you say singing is very physical.
