This is not me, but this year is my first time actually seeing a man of God that I found interesting.( on in insta) he is a professional soccer player. And he encouraged me a lot and I end up having a crush on him. Tell me why I am getting the feeling he is the one but I also need to fast because I don’t want to fall into the same situation I was in when if all for this other guy who was not even a man of God.
In my case these men were exes. Two men I was in relationship with last several years. Both pursued me. Both said they loved me. Both claimed to love Jesus. Both talked marriage. BOTH were lying. It was rough! I believe they were narcs looking for validation and sex. Adios!
I agree. A man who wants marriage won't date you. He'll pray with you. Go to church meeting and be intentional about desiring marriage. He certainly won't try and have sex with you. He will aspire to chastity.
I really am idolizing relationship lol. Recently, I aks God that if the one I like is for me, that through God, the one I like will like take the initiative to talk to me through social media, since he was far from me. And I kinda like have this time frame (yeah, I know I'm rushing) when's like the last day it will be considered as he's the one for me if he followed me. Of course, if he doesn't then he's not the one for me. In fact, the other reason why I ask this of God is because I do not want to continually pursue someone who isn't for me. And when I read your comment, I thought of the answer of God as yes, he's the one for me. Like the one I like will actually follow me online (as if we're even for each other). But of course, God's answer can also be no or wait. And whatever it is, I'll accept it. Though if the man didn't follow me til the last day of my prayer (due date be like lol), I'll consider it as he's not for me. Actually, God has given me more than 1 signs, but I still chase after the guy so.
That's why I've been very resilient to men lately, because I'm waiting on God's timing!! Thankfully, Jesus has helped me get over the schemes of the stupid thing. So yes, it's hard to wait, but right now, I'm 16, and in 11th grade, it's not the end of the world!! God has a plan! Just wait on him!!!

Honestly, when commenting this, I realized one thing, like for us or you to stop thinking all man is your future husband, and that is to focus on two men: 1) Jesus, and 2) the one you want to be with. 1) Prioritize Jesus and talk with Him. Tell him about everything you want in a person or in a relationship (I probably don't do this earlier, just this few days but you can do this now while growing up). Talk to God about the one you like (if you ever have one) and just everything. 2) Think of the one you like (if you ever have one). And I'm not saying to like be obsessive with him. (Sister, obsession is annoying is discouraging. Take that from me who's obsessing over someone right now. It's annoying and bad). I'm saying is that, even if you have to think of him, you have to still think about the possibility that he might not be the one for you. Meaning, pray to God about His will for you. Ask Him if He is for you or not and if He isn't, then pray to God to remove him from your life. Because if you don't, you'll obsess over him, chase after him and blah blah. But only if you have someone you want to be with. If not, then just talk to God about your dreams or your goals with your actual future husband. And God will answer that with either yes, no or wait. And that's actually what I did. I kinda like focused on the one I like and pray to God about him and it helps me stop thinking that every ma that I meet is my future man (as if). So yeah. I mean, you said God helped you with your stupid schemes and I'm happy for you. I just share some things to like help a little bit more.

God looks at the internal man and looks at the outward. When you're unhealthy, you see in lustful eyes. When you're healed you see with a pure eye. Most ladies that do this are empty and looking for someone make them whole. But, when you're whole you can 100 men and not even notice the person in that way. Before God sends a husband he wants to help you become whole and healed. I was this same way BUT GOD! Continue to grow in your relationship with Christ and if he decides to invite a man in your life it will be great. The goal is the gospel, not a man.

Jesus even freed us from the curse of desiring a man and He took all of the other curses and unhealthy desires on the cross out of Love for us as well 😊❤❤ Genesis 3:16 “To the woman He said, “I will make your pains in childbearing very severe; with painful labor you will give birth to children. Since my breakup, God has revealed the beauty of singleness. I also have been pushed to decenter men because although I haven’t been in a lot of relationships, I don’t remember a time I wasn’t entertaining a man. I want to decenter men & see how God works in my life 🥰.

When I met men after my break up with my college sweetheart. I never asked God is he the one, so it was problems. I’ve dated a few guys after him, but I never felt like this is my husband. Until I reconnected with someone and I pictured my life with him, and it wasn’t till after the reconnection did I started to ask God is he the one? Then I started idolizing relationships/marriage. And insecurities I thought was gone came back, and it cause problems. Plus false idolize are wrong, and now I surrender to God. I want God will for my life. Plus being single is the most important time of Our lives. That yearning feeling you have is for God the only one who can fill that hole. No one can make you whole, but God he can make you whole.
I’m definitely guilt of idolizing relationships🙂↕️✋🏾. I prayed that prayer, “ God if he’s not the one, let me know now.” And the first time I prayed this prayer, before I even finished, I heard a stern, “No.” And I foolishly keep praying it and hoping things will work out, but my words are basically testifying against me🙂
Girrrrl the way you described this fine looking man was exactly how I described my ex when i was giving my testimony about why we shouldnt idolize marriage and why we should “wait” until marriage😂I told my young adults class that looks can be SO dangerous because they can put you in a trance lol. I felt like i was so out of my ex’s league because he looked like he was chiseled my marble. He wasnt even christian but i think my parents found him so attractive and sweet that they let the “do not be unequally yoked” verse pass! Despite him wanting to know more about my beliefs and even praying with me, he had some red flags that i ignored. I kept thinking he was was sent by God but no ma’am that was the devil!!😭I think God allowed him to cheat on me because He was saw how conflicted and stressed I was and He knew i would never go back to a cheater. Lesson learned, my God is not a god of confusion and pray for discernment. What I realized is that God isnt going to give you signs that your partner isnt the one. The signs are already there we just choose not to ask for wisdom and discernment because we’re afraid of losing them. But we gotta let go and trust God❤

Brooo God is speaking to me through this. I won't go into that much detail but I've been HEAVILY crushing on this boy at my church for almost a year now (will be a year on the 13th or 23rd I think) & like he loves God so much, he loves worship just like me, he's handsome but modest & he has high standards which means he has good morals you know... so I asked God to give me a sign, and He did, and another sign, and then the final sign was I asked if he was the one, for God to let him friend me back on the Bible app cuz we hadn't added each other yet, and bro I kid you not within like 5hrs he friended me back and so I was like okay God said he was the one. No more worrying if he is or not, no more none of that right cuz it was basically set in stone. But then I found out that he likes somebody else, who also likes him annnndddd I was like so confused because God told me different, but I think about this boy literally so much and I mean it's hard not to because I love him......BUT I also love God and I love God more so I've been trying to seek Him first and trust that whatever happens, will happen on His perfect timing. God has said concerning idols that whenever you ask God about an issue while having an idol in your heart, He will answer you only in accordance with your idols (Ezekiel 14:4). This means you will only hear whatever you want to hear. God never told you yes. You heard yes because you were already idolizing the man. Focus on growing and healing that part of you that gets easily attached to a guy you don't really know. It speaks to a deeper wound. Falling in love quickly is a sign that healing is needed. Then build capacity as a woman of God and start taking more of Christ in you. That is the entire point of being a believer, not necessarily relationships. God bless.

Shouldn’t people be attractive by their personality?.. or like like.. like who they are? To the people that do this, just remember that it’s not gonna fill that empty whole you have in your heart. Being in a relationship isn’t gonna give you the fulfillment that God can. You have to remember that those are humans and real people that you’re thinking sexually about. Love at first sight is a lie, but lust at first sight isn’t. Also to remind you that even if they look good they might have traits that can be genuinely annoying and they have flaws and mistakes that aren’t cute or pretty, or might be weird. Because they’re human. When you think this way you feel foggy, anyone else? You feel foggy as if you can’t focus, or you can’t see and come back to reality. That’s because it’s delusional. You’re putting your heart and trust in someone you don’t know, just because they look good? It doesn’t matter what flaws they have or what they look like, it matters who they are. Sure, it’s Gods creation so you gotta love the looks-and then you move on. Looks are not the most important thing. Remember that you should be doing everything for the glory of God and not for the glory of yourself, it should be in Gods will and not in yours. If you had a relationship with that person you put as an idol it would be a sin against the lord, and it would’ve been selfish. You would’ve lost yourself in that person and you would’ve completely forgotten about God or what he thinks. You should remember to love yourself enough to not let people in your heart without knowing who they are, you shouldn’t assume and be naive. You shouldn’t assume and think they’re egotistical, rude, and stubborn. You should think nothing, you should wait until they introduce themselves to you instead. Until you know much about them. If you desire to be Loved, you better respect people inside out, with your thoughts included. There will be downfalls and uprises in relationships. Remember that it won’t be perfect. But in the end remember that God is all you need. ❤
I like the fact you said we should love ourselves so much not to let anyone in until we know them, (I will add that) and they have proven themselves). We can avoid so much heartaches with that. We shouldn't assume who people are and fall in love with them without knowing who they really are on a personal level and if we are even compatible with them. Cos that means who you are lovingis not reality. I got to experience this myself. I had a 4 year crush and considered him my husband. I wanted to love and be loved so badly. What drew me to him was his charisma and fashion sense. Now that made him so attractive to me. He was a believer as well. Fortunately we got talking after years of crushing and I was so disappointed. We couldn't even have a 15mins convo. We were physically into each other, I thought we could build friendship and relationship. I was so surprised we were not compatible, conversations were so boring. Like lower than my expectations. And to top up that he didn't respect me, cos he knew I liked him so much. That was when I realised I fell in love with fantasy instead of the real person. Now, so careful not to repeat that mistake.
Hello, i am 15 years old and as a highschooler i often feel so jealous of other girls and how theyre able to find a man unlike me. i even asked a man for his snap chat when i was a freshman and he basically rejected me. i feel so embarrassed because this honestly isn't the first time this happened. i also have crushes on guys who are kind to me so easily. i also idolize relationships and i have been for about a year. its really hard for me to not overthink about boys and when i will get in a relationship and it really messes with my mental health and my self worth, its also made me really insecure. anyways, thank you for this video, it really helped me to see i am not alone. Hey marie, this really pointed at me but also made me feel seen as a believer in Christ, cause i also grew up in a strict household and now i'm at uni in a another country, but i didnt want to rush to relationships yet i also have a hard time maintaining friends cause over time they start confessing that they like me romantically but then they aren't seeking a relationship with God. So sometimes i guess in the loneliness there is that short fall of wanting sincerity of relationships. Yet through it all I dont want to pursue my desire but rather God's will , so even though sometimes it hurts being alone i know it would hurt more to disobey God and have to learn unattach myself from someone that wasnt from me

Thank you for this message. I stopped watching romantic comedy movies because I coveted. I haven’t read any romantic books either. I am 24 never in a real relationship and I never seen a good relationship growing up so I coveted and had unrealistic ideas of love and relationships. I am now understanding that I need to focus less on this and more on God. Also be careful of videos on social media that makes you think “what ifs?” that is just another distraction from the enemy. Just because so and so had a falling out and reconcile doesn’t mean it will happen for you too. Everyone’s love story is different.

Especially as Christians, we need to submit wether or not He gives us a relationship. That’s something I had to learn the hard way, God needs you to trust Him alone before you are sent someone. Even then, you need to be ok with being alone cause you’re never truly alone.

Very informative video. I relate to it 100%. I don't have a thought of relationships now but my Dad always tell me the same thing that's in the video. I feel tempted to fall into that thought "He's the one" but I drag myself out and remind myself to remain focused. In this season of my life, I'm not interested in a relationship nor marriage. I resonate with this sis, when I see my spec and the person take it further to meet my most valued love language(act of service) I become blown with fantasies and how we could make a good home neglecting red flags, I have been in couple of relationships because of this.. I can easily get attracted to someone who is kind to me. It’s actually frustrating. I’ve been single probably 2 years. And I prayed before for a future husband, and sometimes I get sad because I see married couples and wonder who my future husband is. I haven’t been revealed of him or through vision. I have no idea what he looks like either. It sucks.
It’s okay God will show you when the time is right. He either will tell you yes or no. If yes He’ll definitely show you specific things that you ask in prayer!! BUT I’m so glad we’re all in here and had this issue BECAUSE God is helping us to connect and learn❤ God will definitely send you your person but remember Seek the Kingdom of God FIRST and all else will be added. It was difficult at first for me to grasp and I idolized SO bad but God showed me like Hey u can’t do that! You know it’s either God or nothing so it’s never a in between but he will definitely help you to get out of idolizing and once you understand to put and keep God first he’ll then give you the desires of your heart because you’re not focused on things of the world or what you want but Him instead.❤ You’ll find someone when you least expect and also as you’re focusing on God remember God is aligning the person for you, just as well as you want them for whoever this person may be,they want you as well whenever God put the desire for them to be genuinely find someone good one day like you❤ Continue to seek God wholeheartedly, and everything else will be added unto you!!

I really am idolizing relationship lol. Recently, I aks God that if the one I like is for me, that through God, the one I like will like take the initiative to talk to me through social media, since he was far from me. And I kinda like have this time frame (yeah, I know I'm rushing) when's like the last day it will be considered as he's the one for me if he followed me. Of course, if he doesn't then he's not the one for me. In fact, the other reason why I ask this of God is because I do not want to continually pursue someone who isn't for me. And when I read your comment, I thought of the answer of God as yes, he's the one for me. Like the one I like will actually follow me online (as if we're even for each other). But of course, God's answer can also be no or wait. And whatever it is, I'll accept it. Though if the man didn't follow me til the last day of my prayer (due date be like lol), I'll consider it as he's not for me. Actually, God has given me more than 1 signs, but I still chase after the guy so.
That's why I've been very resilient to men lately, because I'm waiting on God's timing!! Thankfully, Jesus has helped me get over the schemes of the stupid thing. So yes, it's hard to wait, but right now, I'm 16, and in 11th grade, it's not the end of the world!! God has a plan! Just wait on him!!!

Tell him about everything you want in a person or in a relationship (I probably don't do this earlier, just this few days but you can do this now while growing up). Talk to God about the one you like (if you ever have one) and just everything. 2) Think of the one you like (if you ever have one). And I'm not saying to like be obsessive with him. (Sister, obsession is annoying is discouraging. Take that from me who's obsessing over someone right now. It's annoying and bad). I'm saying is that, even if you have to think of him, you have to still think about the possibility that he might not be the one for you. Meaning, pray to God about His will for you. Ask Him if He is for you or not and if He isn't, then pray to God to remove him from your life. Because if you don't, you'll obsess over him, chase after him and blah blah. But only if you have someone you want to be with. If not, then just talk to God about your dreams or your goals with your actual future husband. And God will answer that with either yes, no or wait. And that's actually what I did. I kinda like focused on the one I like and pray to God about him and it helps me stop thinking that every ma that I meet is my future man (as if). So yeah.
I mean, you said God helped you with your stupid schemes and I'm happy for you. I just share some things to like help a little bit more.

I felt like i was so out of my ex’s league because he looked like he was chiseled my marble. The signs are already there we just choose not to ask for wisdom and discernment because we’re afraid of losing them. But we gotta let go and trust God❤

Brooo God is speaking to me through this. I won't go into that much detail but I've been HEAVILY crushing on this boy at my church for almost a year now (will be a year on the 13th or 23rd I think) & like he loves God so much, he loves worship just like me, he's handsome but modest & he has high standards which means he has good morals you know... so I asked God to give me a sign, and He did, and another sign, and then the final sign was I asked if he was the one, for God to let him friend me back on the Bible app cuz we hadn't added each other yet, and bro I kid you not within like 5hrs he friended me back and so I was like okay God said he was the one. God has said concerning idols that whenever you ask God about an issue while having an idol in your heart, He will answer you only in accordance with your idols (Ezekiel 14:4). This means you will only hear whatever you want to hear. God never told you yes. You heard yes because you were already idolizing the man. Focus on growing and healing that part of you that gets easily attached to a guy you don't really know. It speaks to a deeper wound. Falling in love quickly is a sign that healing is needed. Then build capacity as a woman of God and start taking more of Christ in you. That is the entire point of being a believer, not necessarily relationships. God bless.

Shouldn’t people be attractive by their personality?.. or like like.. like who they are? To the people that do this, just remember that it’s not gonna fill that empty whole you have in your heart. Being in a relationship isn’t gonna give you the fulfillment that God can. You have to remember that those are humans and real people that you’re thinking sexually about. Love at first sight is a lie, but lust at first sight isn’t. Also to remind you that even if they look good they might have traits that can be genuinely annoying and they have flaws and mistakes that aren’t cute or pretty, or might be weird. Because they’re human. When you think this way you feel foggy, anyone else? You feel foggy as if you can’t focus, or you can’t see and come back to reality. That’s because it’s delusional. You’re putting your heart and trust in someone you don’t know, just because they look good? It doesn’t matter what flaws they have or what they look like, it matters who they are. Sure, it’s Gods creation so you gotta love the looks-and then you move on. Looks are not the most important thing. Remember that you should be doing everything for the glory of God and not for the glory of yourself, it should be in Gods will and not in yours. If you had a relationship with that person you put as an idol it would be a sin against the lord, and it would’ve been selfish. You would’ve lost yourself in that person and you would’ve completely forgotten about God or what he thinks.
You should remember to love yourself enough to not let people in your heart without knowing who they are, you shouldn’t assume and be naive. You shouldn’t assume and think they’re egotistical, rude, and stubborn. You should think nothing, you should wait until they introduce themselves to you instead. Until you know much about them.
If you desire to be Loved, you better respect people inside out, with your thoughts included. There will be downfalls and uprises in relationships. Remember that it won’t be perfect.
But in the end remember that God is all you need. ❤
I like the fact you said we should love ourselves so much not to let anyone in until we know them, (I will add that) and they have proven themselves). We can avoid so much heartaches with that. We shouldn't assume who people are and fall in love with them without knowing who they really are on a personal level and if we are even compatible with them. Cos that means who you are lovingis not reality. I got to experience this myself.
I had a 4 year crush and considered him my husband. I wanted to love and be loved so badly. What drew me to him was his charisma and fashion sense. Now that made him so attractive to me. He was a believer as well. Fortunately we got talking after years of crushing and I was so disappointed. We couldn't even have a 15mins convo. We were physically into each other, I thought we could build friendship and relationship. I was so surprised we were not compatible, conversations were so boring. Like lower than my expectations. And to top up that he didn't respect me, cos he knew I liked him so much. That was when I realised I fell in love with fantasy instead of the real person. Now, so careful not to repeat that mistake.

Hey marie, this really pointed at me but also made me feel seen as a believer in Christ, cause i also grew up in a strict household and now i'm at uni in a another country, but i didnt want to rush to relationships yet i also have a hard time maintaining friends cause over time they start confessing that they like me romantically but then they aren't seeking a relationship with God. So sometimes i guess in the loneliness there is that short fall of wanting sincerity of relationships. Thank you for this message. I stopped watching romantic comedy movies because I coveted. I haven’t read any romantic books either. I am 24 never in a real relationship and I never seen a good relationship growing up so I coveted and had unrealistic ideas of love and relationships. I am now understanding that I need to focus less on this and more on God. Also be careful of videos on social media that makes you think “what ifs?” that is just another distraction from the enemy. Just because so and so had a falling out and reconcile doesn’t mean it will happen for you too. Everyone’s love story is different.

Im 15 y.o in this year and im a highschool girl..english wasn't my native language so i apologize if there's still many wrong phrases...so iwas used to have feelings with many guys in past like in my school and social media (though i didnt even really know their faces lol) but from times it make me learn to be more mature and i dont want to have a crush on anyone cause many..many times i feel like the guys i have crush on didnt like me back and things didnt going smoothly though he might be likes me back...i was frustrated and jealous at first by many girls in my class that already have boyfriends that makes me have some thought like "am i ugly?" or even "am i not attractive?" but from this moment i realized that i want to focus on my school stuff first...and after i tried to get closer to God i realized like He tried to protect me...i was really idolized romantic and healthy relationship..so i will skip those lovey dovey stuff first and i will choose the better man when my time comes...He knows what's best for all of us ❤

I resonate with this sis, when I see my spec and the person take it further to meet my most valued love language(act of service) I become blown with fantasies and how we could make a good home neglecting red flags, I have been in couple of relationships because of this.. I can easily get attracted to someone who is kind to me.

It’s actually frustrating. I’ve been single probably 2 years. And I prayed before for a future husband, and sometimes I get sad because I see married couples and wonder who my future husband is. I haven’t been revealed of him or through vision. I have no idea what he looks like either. It sucks.
It’s okay God will show you when the time is right. He either will tell you yes or no. If yes He’ll definitely show you specific things that you ask in prayer!! BUT I’m so glad we’re all in here and had this issue BECAUSE God is helping us to connect and learn❤ God will definitely send you your person but remember Seek the Kingdom of God FIRST and all else will be added. It was difficult at first for me to grasp and I idolized SO bad but God showed me like Hey u can’t do that! You know it’s either God or nothing so it’s never a in between but he will definitely help you to get out of idolizing and once you understand to put and keep God first he’ll then give you the desires of your heart because you’re not focused on things of the world or what you want but Him instead.❤ You’ll find someone when you least expect and also as you’re focusing on God remember God is aligning the person for you, just as well as you want them for whoever this person may be,they want you as well whenever God put the desire for them to be genuinely find someone good one day like you❤ Continue to seek God wholeheartedly, and everything else will be added unto you!!
