I recall someone arguing that the work of the Pseudo-Dionysius ( author of the mystical theology and of the celestial hierarchy) coincides with the closure of Greek schools by Justinian and claims Platonists in working on the Divine Names was instrumental in providing a basis for theology. There is much more that could be said, but I will just say thanks for the video.
Well, anyone can argue for anything. It strikes me that even if that were to be the case, it wouldn't be that interesting or important. It's not like Christians would have to get their Platonism through one late source
