This song brings back memories of when I was so depressed I didn't even have the energy to pray. I felt there was no point I was a waste and I just wanted to not exist anymore. I remember sitting on a park bench with tears falling down my face uncontrollably feeling hopeless. Then I recalled a minister saying sometimes you just have to say "I need your help". I remember using the little faith that I had left to utter those words in my head. Within minutes that spirit of depression was taken away. That's why when I heard this song and he says I don't have nobody else and I can't make it by myself the tears came streaming down my face again recalling that moment. I would've been dead a long time ago if it was up to me BUT GOD. Thanks for sharing this history.
