I’ve had so much experience with canoes that kayaks would take some getting used to but what a pleasant way to enjoy the river! Listening to the complete joy in Caroline’s voice made me smile. I heard the same joy in my sons’ voices as we chased loons and spied eagles and ospreys! ❤️
I am sure from watching how you plan things, you have completely, looked into whitewater safety. Kayaks are a great way to explore. I love your adventures. If you ever have questions about whitewater, please feel free to contact us. We have over 15 years as whitewater guides and kayakers. We always enjoy seeing folks journey into new adventures.
It was great meeting you in the parking lot of the DG today. Love your videos, and I always look forward to seeing where you all adventure to next. Stay safe, and happy travels!
Next to Camp, set up kayaks ready for water- install seats,, paddles,, etc. Then carry to water. We found best way to strap Kayaks on racks laying flat. Two tie downs for each unit. Secure 1st one then stack 2nd on top of it. Have traveled thousands of miles Key West to Alaska & back.
Me and a friend traveled all over south in a 1986 suburban with 35 inch tires on it and custom bed built in the back. We also took about eight kayaks with us on most of these adventures. Rack system consisted of round crossbars that had and aluminum rod milled out where are you could run through rope at the top and A cut out on the bottom to attach to round bars. Imagine a single Aluminum bar going 90° from round bar. Simple and sturdy. Coupled with NRS straps they can be used for multiple things
I love wheeling in the Tennessee mountains. I live in Flat Florida. Just got back from Windrock in September and immediately upon return added an 8.2 Toyota elock and LT rear to my 470. I am ready to go back! Great video!
Can you tell me what brand of 2 seat kayak that is with the pedals? Also if you could shed some light on how they are holding up and if you’d recommend them? I have a spinal injury which affects my arms and I’d like to give it a shot to see if I can get out on the water with my son. Thanks for your time.
Congratulations on your adventure machine additions. Those drive systems are pretty cool. I still dip paddle, but I hope to at least try a yak with a pedal system one day. But, no matter what propels the boats, kayaking changes lives.
Missed the premier, so catching up now. Sarah, Do you miss the large stove the other trailer had? Can't wait to see the walk-around of the new trailer and how you have it loaded. Until next time..... Travel Safe.
I love how after you're in the water for a while she ask "is there anything in the water that would eat me ?" heh some dads would see that as an opportunity to torture the daughter but not you , you're always the nice dad :) Great Video and yeah might want to re-engineer that rack .
Ok so I have been watching you guys for over a year now. And it has downed on me that, that little girl needs a puppy in her life to share these moments with.
Hey I live in Middle Tennessee, a buddy of mine has a Jeep and we are always looking for places to go. Where is this Fire Breathing Legend at. I do have Gaia.
I made a reply but now I don't see it. You can find the flame by finding 192 Norma Rd, Huntsville, TN 37756. It's a church. Maybe 100 yards or so past the church on the left is the trailhead. Take note if we've had recent rain the crossings can get a little deep. Also in wet weather, if you miss the right turn to the flame there is a muddy area with some really deep spots so be aware 🤟
I too am interested. Would love to check it out. I have spent hundreds of miles in Tellico and Cherokee but really want to check out that trail they turned around on
New and restocked merch! lifestyle.overlandstyle.com
If you have time y’all should really consider heading to Eminence, MO and kayak down the Current River. You can thank me later. 😄
That’s what I love about living in Knoxville. Windrock, Royal Blue, Nemo to the north, Smokys to the east, and Tellico to the south.
And amazing motorcycle roads in all 3 of those directions.
I hate that the Tellico OHV Rec Area got closed. But, that's the unfortunate result of irresponsible off-roading.
I used to live in Knoxville but now I live in Andersonville.

My wife and I have kayaked for 15yrs and are thinking about transitioning to canoe, lol. Funny how that goes.
Props for turning around for the wife. Making them comfortable let’s them enjoy it and keep messing with our rigs.

Looked like the O&W Bridge on Big South Fork. what wonderful place, we love to call home.
You can travel the world and still fine the most beautiful place is still in your backyard.
Such a beautiful trip, great work with this one!
That flame thing was epic!

Great video!
I’ve been to the Eternal Flame a couple of times. Those are some fantastic trails in that part of the country. Thanks for sharing y’all’s adventures.
Just like Nemo...soon as I saw the first crossing I knew where you were 😁 wish I'd been home, I could lead you in from Caryville.
wow..I love this trail
That was awesome. We love our kayak and the pictures and video from them are amazing
Love y’all’s videos! We have fishing Hobies. So fun!! Welcome back to TN.
Thank you for showing us your beautiful home of Tennessee 😎👍
Enjoyed watching “Overlanding” on this side of the Mississippi.
Have you ever been to Meadow Creek Falls in Royal Blue? I used to go there almost every weekend back in the '80s.
As a Canadian, I was interested by your use of "centimeters" when talking about the close quarters, switch back turn around.
Those kayaks cruise well through the water. Tennessee is beautiful. I think it's similar to New South Wales AU .
What a top spot to spend time in!! Cheers Graham in Aussie

Definitely interested in the “more affordable” get away trailer you guys have now.
Great video.

USA flags surrounding the eternal flame 👍🍻
Loved it
Camino sinuoso, pero hermoso... Saludos desde México 🇲🇽 🇺🇸
My similar Kayak mounts were rubbish on normal 🇬🇧 roads. 😏 Better to mount them directly if you can. 👍
Beautiful area.think I would stack those kayaks,1 over the other to store them.wouldnt wiggle so much
how do you go about checking any water crossings before you drive through them, if they are too deep or too muddy?
Wow cool❤

@@JeepsRtheDevil thanks a lot. We are hitting the fire roads tomorrow at Land Between The Lakes.
What is the name of the natural gas fire in the mountains of Tenn and where is it located please
Why not just stack the kayaks on top of eachother, and strap them to the sturdy turtle back bars (maybe with foam between the kayaks)
Beautiful and love it, Where is 4Runner? I missed it. ❤️
Love your videos and what you are doing!! I'm curious about the smaller stove? How do you like it compared to the large Camp Chef?
Yay!
Alright, this question needs to be asked. Where do you get your steaks from?
We live in Oak Ridge
I'd be great to grab some Mexican next time you come through!
Was that in big south fork?
👍👍
You guys happen to be from New Mexico?
Where was those trails at?
C'mon Kevin don't be giving away our secrets!
