Killer! I wish we could see some more "cutaway" shots of you board as you refer to each pedal. I kind do the same thing with the stacking and I also use two different amps in stereo set clean (Tweed Deluxe clone and an AC16 HW60). My main overdrive tone is an old Hot Cake set for mild break up and I use a Benson boost to mildly drive that (it just adds that something), and a Klon clone (decibelics) to drive even further when needed. Also I mainly play a Fender Strat or Jazzmaster (no Tele yet!) but also have a Les Paul that completely changes the sound of the board, frustratingly so at times, but you just embrace it. Cool stuff. For the record re: analytics: I watched the whole thing and I fully did not expect to.
I keep coming back to your video here, Justin. I just love your tone man. Those two Princetons with the tele, the browne goodies and the ceriatone are all just 🤌🤌 Can we has more, please 🙏 😊😂
Nice vid bro! That tone right around 10:51 is Joe Walsh to a freakin tee! I dig the humble, yet versatile boards way more than the extravagant, over the top boards with 50 pedals!
This was a really enjoyable video, and as a fellow HX Stomp and RV-500 user, it was great hearing what you could do with them. I've got a bunch of (cheap) drive pedals but I'm still in the process of trying them together to find out what I like ... at the mment I'm not trying to sound like anyone else, just trying to create the sounds in my head and what I think sound great recorded. I'll be checking out more of your videos, and I've subscribed, liked and commented on this one. Who knows, maybe one day you'll stumble across a video I've created (it might happen!)
Hey Justin, I know you released this video into the ether 4 months ago, but if you end up reading this I apologize in advance if I ramble. I recently lost my dear friend, Michael Fernstrom to a 2 year battle with cancer. He was an incredible musician and friend to me and many others in his friends and family. He had a love and nerd like curiosity and pursuit of incredible guitar tones like you displayed for us all here. One of my last conversations with him a couple weeks before he past was about how the RUclips game has changed. It's so over saturated with ads, everyone's trying to make a living off of it and the small gems are washed way in the river as he would say. Well, I am thankful that you shared this video to the world. I am thankful to the RUclips algorithm for sending me this video as I recently bought a jazzmaster (his favorite guitar) and am looking to build a pedal board out like he did. I can't wait to continue this journey and I just wanted to take a moment on this corner of the internet and thank you for sharing it with us!
Really enjoyed this: it’s how I like to think that I explain my own board to people who want the ‘mid-level’ breakdown - withgood tones, a bit of self-effacing humour and some detail without too much waffling. Great sound quality and editing etc as well - props for the whole endeavour. FWIW, I think the tuning fell away a bit during the fuzz + horsey part; I know it isn’t always noticeable in the room but seems to pop out a bit more through the RUclips processing funnel of doom. Look forward to your next one.
There’s nothing stupid about it at all!!! This video makes me want to change genre. I would love to copy your pedalboard and everything, but what inspires me is how you built your tone. I have to say this is one of the best videos I’ve seen in YT!
Great video Justin, would love to see more of this style content. Just hanging out talking gear and theory. Like a shorter version of that pedal show lol
Guitars LEGO what's the difference. Dude the pedal board looks incredible and the amp setup and guitar. This is a fantastic video. Great pedals. Wish you listen all the gear in the description including where you got the pedalboard from but this is a great real life video too cool.
THANKS SO MUCH! Im just getting my head around this youtube thing so ill add that info to the description if i can figure out how to do that without my laptop catching on fire
@@justinmartindale1188 first time seeing your channel and the playing at the start made me stay, so good. I hope you blow up really big. And may your computer stay cool and playing stay hot.
I don't trust any electric player who doesn't have a wall of big ass acoustics behind him. That's how you know you're dealing with a musician. Well done, Sir.
Cool video, bro. Maybe too nerdy for me, but sounds great. You should play more Steve Vai next time. You've got a lot of guitars there, don't you have any guitars with three necks?
@@justinmartindale1188 That's awesome, i am a fellow musician too, but from far across the globe from India. Would love to have a chat with you, learn things and write songs. Great going
“One day we’ll fade away, just like a nice plate reverb”… poetry mate! 😂
It wasn’t stupid, it was great and very informative. YOU are great. ✌🏾&💜
Had a highway one strat and that thing was a dream. Didn’t know what I had when I had it. Was my first strat. Should have never let it go
They’re really special. I consider it more of a “rock” Strat than a standard blues thing. So it works with my style/rig!
Your tone, those dual Princetons. Man, boy is she a tasty one!
Justin, mighty-fine-a-tone you got good sirs ❤

I was trying to decide on the T4, and we happen to have a very similar rig. You just sold me on it - thanks!
Awesome my friend !
Very inspiring video mate !!! You make me mess with my pedalboard again…😂.
Thanks for sharing
Really enjoyed this. Keep making organic “ retired military” style videos!

Ya man! You sound great, your rig sounds great and you’re a good presenter. Not too in depth not too brief. Good on ya! Be well, bend to live.

For not liking being on camera, your camera presence and clean narration are amazing. keep it up, bro.
Great video. I didn't know about the T4. Thanks for showing it. I dig it.

Cheers man. Fully enjoyed your video. Great sounds
Nice pedal board, sounds great👌
Thank you!

Honestly one of the best videos be watched in a very long time. Well done brotha
Nice! pedals sir👌🙌💜🇵🇭
Our boards are so similar man - I just have the Boss GT-1000, the Ventris, Morning Glory and Tumnus.
Awesome tones!

Loved it

Great board dude. Great pedal choices!
Thank you so much!
Been wanting to try the protein. Sounds killer. I don't like cameras either, except for showing others what I see.
"One day we'll fade away... Just like a nice plate reverb." It's like the guitar players' commentary on the book of Ecclesiastes.

good video man, we want to see the pedalboard though 😁
I would love to hear the Les Paul through this board.

I can barely manage the one neck they come with.
Hey man, great stuff, just a question, what were you playing when you were on the blue side of the pedal, was it in key of b maj. sounded cool
Impromptu B major ramblings, my friend.

🤘🤘🤘✌✌✌
Nice!! :) What pedal did you turn on at 14:55?
Boss rv500 + Browne protein (green side)
Justin that was delicious
What chair is that?
Some vintage chair I’ve had for a long long time
Do you live in a renovated public school teacher's lounge?
This is my studio in a converted church choir room.

way too much gear;
i'm happy with my kazoo thru a flanger.
maybe that's just me.
Nice vid my brotha from another mother, we got the same last name....lol
