Pretty awesome figure. I'm really surprised the organs are soft and squishy. Aside from the Anatomy rex, this seems like a nice throwback to Kenner's Allosaurus (and without loose pieces to worry about losing). A shame about the lack of card, but it isn't a big deal for me. I have heard that the Legacy rex pack did not feature a card, so your speculation about that being the case for the others (both BD and Legacy) is probably correct. I also agree that the non Jurassic film species are a bit different in style, but thankfully they still look really good for what they are.
Mattel also made Proceratosaurus which is also related to T. Rex so it’s three tyrannosaur species. 😊 I actually want them to make a Guanlong toy as well... or Yutyrannus or some other tyrannosaur to expand a little more of the family.
Great review Chris - excited to see your take on the Dino ATV as one of the first smaller vehicles in the line! Really appreciate the indepth look at this one - captured everything I could've wanted and has convinced me that this one may indeed be worth tracking down!
@@kingwazz7710 As far as I know Albertosaurus and the Giganotosaurus, ever being clone by Ingen company or the Masrani corporation it's 50/50. Albertosaurus only made its appearance in the video game Jurassic Park trespassers. Giganotosaurus first came out of the comic book Jurassic Park Redemption, but according to some cannon material Dr. Wu use some of the Giganotosaurus DNA in the Indominus Rex.
Mattel has been improving on many dinosaur detail. Mattel is going for the hybrid of a toy that is a collector item and and as well as a toy that kids and adults can play with.
I like how Mattel is bringing dinosaur toys out that are hard to find in general, like monolophosaurus and concavenator, you really do not see figures of that, as well as the Coelurus, Suchomimus, and more
I wish that this Albertosaurus was lighter and more slender like its real life counterpart, but overall it's a very nice toy and I hope that it makes it here to Europe
Great video, but You said that the albertosaurus is the only species of tyrannosaurs besides the trex that mattel jurassic world made , but they also made a proceratosaurus toy and its a species of tyrannosaurs too.
I’m so in love with the albertosaurus!! I can’t wait for them to show up at my store. I work at a Walmart but our Jurassic section is soooo barren right now. Mattel continues to excel. I’m so glad Jurassic is continuing into 2019
Love the figure, but how on earth is an Allosaurus smaller than an Albertosaurus and a Carnotaurus. Now that you look at it....it kind of looks like an Allo with those crests and the osteoderms
Great review, but Battle Damage is just an assortment and not a separate line. This figure, wow was not expecting the double damage feature, that is awesome. Right now this is my favourite of the new line. Can not wait to get it.
I agree, the osteoderms and overly liberal use of spikes doesn't work too well most of the time. The Suchomimus toy, as cool as it is, looks somewhat distracting with its prominent osteoderms and spiky, dragon-like sail. I think there were still lots of ways they could have made the _Suchomimus_ and _Albertosaurus_ look awesome without having to use super edgy-looking spikes and osteoderms. Especially since _Albertosaurus_ and _Suchomimus_ are well-known for having streamlined and sleek-looking bodies. That's not to say I don't like this toy, though. I'm sure this toy is super-duper cool in person, and the people who designed it probably put lots of effort and creativity into it.
Okay, but it's not supposed to have those fins, even in the jp universe, the way they're done just look goofy imo. I've seen repaints/resculpts where people removed them, and it makes it so much better.
Yeah, that's exactly what I didn't, I didn't buy it, cause I think it looks bad, and plenty of other people passed on it too... also, a sideshow statue is averagely 500 dollars, but price point has nothing to do with unnecessary details. I don't like it, get over it.
With the exception of the tail a bit too short, the albertosaurus is perfect. After that, I would like Mattel so much: -a Tarbosaurus based on "Thrash 'n Throw T-Rex" or "Extreme Chompin' T-Rex" with some modifications: the tail not short, a cranium narrower i.imgur.com/4sSeMaL.jpg en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Tarbosaurus_and_Tyrannosaurus.jpg prehistoricpalace1.weebly.com/uploads/4/4/1/0/44103077/460883763.jpg?761 pm1.narvii.com/6865/27d09dccaa19f14258f65d48fa8f55e4ed56ff9fr1-1280-720v2_hq.jpg and smaller feet 1850516970.rsc.cdn77.org/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/BDDefinitionDinosaursAlive3D-6-1080.jpg -Perfect blue character from the 6-inch Jurassic Collector series, all details, such as foot size and head, are highly respected. fully rotates the leg the 380 always leaves her soft and loose. you always see people doing it in the reviews to show the joints. but at the same time they do that they can see their legs softer and looser, and they already have a hard time keeping their pose after that. Who does not turn the legs keeps them firm: D do not turn more
I love how many dinosaurs we're getting with this toy line. And they're in scale for the most part.

I've been noticing that some of the new Mattel dinos have smaller feet than the older ones.

I'm also going to track this one down! It's a beauty! 😍
I absolutely love Albertosaurus. So this fig is amazing

or Carcharodontosaurus toy

Sure
I think this figure is great, but I have one issue that isn't unique to this; the tail is too short :P

The best mattel JW toy so far, just amazing
My spino has some paint flecks on its face, its kinda annoying
Devon Lortie my spinos legs were loose and fell off
Has the Dino Rivals Dimetrodon released yet?
I wish that this Albertosaurus was lighter and more slender like its real life counterpart, but overall it's a very nice toy and I hope that it makes it here to Europe
FINALLY! Another Tyrannosaurid in the line!
0:43 actually it's the third tyrannosaur species below Proceratosaurus and Tyrannosaurus Rex
Great video, but You said that the albertosaurus is the only species of tyrannosaurs besides the trex that mattel jurassic world made , but they also made a proceratosaurus toy and its a species of tyrannosaurs too.

Now I want to know how did you get it.
When the heck do these show up in stores
The Albertosaurus crest just like the Allosaurus crest and the Concavenator crest ;)
It looks gorgeous! (Tho the head still reminds me of an allosaurus XD )
Whats the dpci?
That is so cool! I really hope I can get hold of one in the UK. Thanks for sharing!
I love this figure, but I'd love a longer tail and a darker mouth/tongue 🤔
Hairy Dino you are beautiful 😍😍
Love the figure, but how on earth is an Allosaurus smaller than an Albertosaurus and a Carnotaurus. Now that you look at it....it kind of looks like an Allo with those crests and the osteoderms

@@hairydino4568 thanks! 😁
I just got this today at my local Walmart.
the tail might need to be a bit bigger but thats just my opinion
I think the tail length is good. Specially Since it is a large tyrannosaur
Large Tyrannosaurs had very long tails. This is too short
Donde lo conseguiste
