This didn't work out for me. The high winds before the snow had it flapping and shifting really bad. I took it off for fear it would fly off into a passing car's view. Also the material is very thin. I think if it had another layer of material that would work. If we get more snow (I pray we don't) I will try it again & hopefully winds will not be too bad. Also this was about two or three inches short for my windshield. I had to shift it leaving an inch or so on each of the windshield.
When you say you don’t want it flapping off into other passing vehicle views what do you mean? Are you parking on the street?I didn’t show it in the video but the little flaps you are suppose to close into your door. The thing should never come off..
@@GReviewz Yes I park on street. Flaps were inside as much as they would go because cover wasn't big enough. Wind was strong top & bottom flapped so bad I just knew it was going to come off.
I was interested in how well it covered the wiper cowl area. My 4 Runner sits out and the tree crap goes down into the fender from the driver side cowl area. Theres a big gap in the corner there.
Those little plastic poles on the side of the flaps, the flaps you put inside the driver and passenger door. No one can snatch it off because of the poles inside both flaps. ( I know I’m late, just got one of these today)
I guess if you had to clear the snow off your car's roof you should just leave the thing on until afterwards because you would just recover your windshield with snow all over again.
Thanks for watching. Yes that is a great point. I don’t clear off my roof. I live far from the main rd so by the time I get there all the snow has filled off already..
@@GReviewz Just windshield cover, the one made today has a flap on each side with a plastic pipe in it that shuts in each door so it can not be removed, way better quality now, but no side mirror covers.
Wow this product might be my life saver. My POS car has no heater no defroster no working sockst to plug in a defroster and I am done throwing money into it. I am just trying to get through one last winter. This looks like something that might be what I need to keep ice off my windshield In even the coldest of temps. I am also wondering if using 2 at the same time (one on top of the other would work for even a double layer of protection or is that just a waste?
Sorry about your pos car. Stop throwing your money away and get a newer car, not haveing defrost, a heater etc can kill you. This will help. I am not sure if two layers will work better…I assume it will..be safe jimmy!
Thanks for watching...something I may have forgot to show in the video was the flaps that you literally shut in the door to keep the frost guard on the windshield. Not saying it’s perfect but it worked pretty good for me..
I got one and it works great. Thanks for your video.
Thanks for watching. I hope you enjoy your frost guard for years to come.
I bought mine on clearance earlier this year. About to test it on my 2004 Camry for today's snow storm in northern NJ. Hopefully it works.
Thanks for watching. Let me know how it goes. I hope it helps you!!
@@GReviewz Will do.

I have not used the cover this winter because we didnt get a lick of snow. From what I remember it provided good coverage.
You should use the smaller hole around the mirror for a snugger fit
Thanks for watching. Trust me the putter most loop is tight enough.
What a beautiful morning
Thanks for watching..yeah sometimes snow can be beautiful as long as it’s snow and not ice...ice sucks for everyone...
Did you open the car door to put the flaps in?? If you in a public place they can snatch it off, I had mines for a few years and I love it!!
I don’t use the flaps. I just use it in my driveway so I can leave for work.

I do use the flaps since I'd be afraid it could be stolen very easily it not.
The flaps do work better than just the elastic bands...we’re do you live that you are afraid someone would steal it?
@@GReviewz people steal stuff everywhere. Lol.

yeah the one I got January 2021, does not have strap loops to go around mirrors or the mirror covers, what a disappoinment!!
Thanks for watching. Did you get the kit with the mirror covers or just the windshield unit?
@@GReviewz Just windshield cover, the one made today has a flap on each side with a plastic pipe in it that shuts in each door so it can not be removed, way better quality now, but no side mirror covers.
The security flap goes IN THE DOOR, not the window
Lol yeah after making the video I figured that out…thank you!
Thank You! Purchasing asap!
Thanks for watching. Glad I could help!
Just bought one.
Thanks for watching. Awesome. Get them before winter hits too hard!!

Nice video. Gonna order for my 04 ford explorer, hope it fits
Thanks for watching. I hope it fits also.
Oh I thought the flaps go inside the doors not the windows? Either way, bought one! Great review video!
Thanks for watching. Yeah I forgot to mention that in my review. I hope it helps you out!
Marlee Mayo I've had mine for a few years and I always place it in the door. I would never put it through my windows. Hope this helps 😊
I place the flap in my door as well
Hopefully it works up to -40 and past that cold temp and doesn’t freeze to the windshield lol
Thanks for watching. I was unable to test it in that low of temps but it worked just fine for me. I e had it down to single digits and did not stick…
I need !!!!
It helps out a lot. If I were you I’d get one before winter hits so they are not sold out! Thanks for watching.
Seriously doubt this would stay on in north Texas winds!

I’m going to take forever getting to the point of the video then show you how to install it improperly…this dude
lol. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching. I hope it helped!!
I'd rather spent 2 minutes scrapping my windshield 😂
That’s fine. I just found this product to be helpful.
