I'm still pissed that Paddy Considine even didn't get at least a nomination for an Emmy for his performance as King Viserys. 😡😡😥😥🤦♂🤦♂
Me too
Me 3
He died for nothing!!! Shame shame shame
A crime against the realm he didn’t get a nomination
This is literally why award shows ain't shit.
Fun fact: Viserys's crown falling off and Daemon picking it up for him wasn't in the script originally. It happened as a genuine accident in rehersals but Paddy and Matt stayed in character and improvised their way through it. The director liked it so much that they then included it when they actually shot the scene. Two stunning actors...
It happened by accident during the first take. Then Paddy and Matt decided to keep letting it fall and having Daemon pick it up in every reshoot so that the director would have no choice but to use it.
"Sadly its too late because they already poisoned their children"
You hit the nail on the head there with this episode. The tragedy of these now adults finally getting closer to resolution and apology only for the fact that they raised their children in conflict and opposition to continue the fighting throughthe next generation.
Viserys the last piece holding it all together, even though all of this was a lot of his doing, a man who tried to follow his heart at all times, but unfortunately made so many mistakes in this cruel world.
It’s absolutely heartbreaking how even in his last moments Viserys fought for his daughter, he really kept walking for her and only her. The daughter of the love of his life 🥺
His only child 😭😭😭🖤
@@kathiamartinez2586Lol
During Aemond and Daemon's stare down I can only imagine that they were both just thinking. "damn we are about to start so much violence, I can't wait" 😂
Aegon was amused in the throne room because with the succession remaining the way it is, means he is not going to have ascend the throne, which is something he never wanted.
I think he also just enjoys the drama, he's not at all invested in Otto and Alicent's plans.
@@KWin246 Yes, I think he also sees this as more of a game and probably doesn't even fully understand the political implications of what's being discussed.
Not much for long bro
I’ve noticed that Alicent raised three sort of nutty kids (some very nutty) while so far Rhaenrya raised two amazing boys who’d probably have been great kings (I haven’t read so if all her kids die I don’t know so I’m not spoiling). Did anyone else get this feeling?
he´s much more interrestied in drinking an f+ckin around than taking responsibilities
Alicent: "I raise my cup to you and to your house. You will make a fine queen."
Rhaenyra: "😮😳😊"
Otto: "wtf wtf wtf"
😂
I think she was a bit on the fence up to a point, who to support. If anything, Alicent respects and obeys authority and there was this conflict: the authority of Viserys who appointed Rhaenyra and the authority of her father who wants Aegon on the throne. I think it's only when she misinterprets Viserys's last words that she finally commits fully to supporting Aegon, only then is the conflict solved for her as she now believes Viserys also wanted Aegon. I think before that she would have been more open to some compromise, if Rhaenyra could guarantee her sons' safety. At least that's how I interpret it.
@@octavianpopescu4776 Based on the book, I believe Aegon deserves the throne more.
@@rohanshende4338 That's an unpopular opinion, to be sure. I mean, I disagree based on what I know, I mean Viserys did leave Rhaenyra. It is what it is. However, I am more sympathetic to the Greens. I don't think Otto or Alicent are necessarily as bad as many view them as. He seems to know the game and he's playing it. Hate the game, not the player. As for Alicent, people condemn her for being so... obedient to authority, but I'm more sympathetic to that. I mean, there is a limit, but she's doing her duty.
@@octavianpopescu4776 It's only and unpopular opinion until Rhaenyra consented for B&C and ordered Nettles to be killed out of jealousy. She was indeed on the path of Maegor, but was killed soon. On the contrary I have utmost respect for Aegon for denying the crown (and only accepting it to save his siblings), and for riding for his own battles (something book Rhaenyra never did). "Imagine a King who fights his own wars... Wouldn't that be a sight?"
I love the empathy you show Alicent as I feel many neglect her viewpoint or simply don't understand it. Also, I couldn't agree more, Paddy was brilliant this episode and throughout the whole show even.
A couple details I noticed upon a re-warch that made this episode even better:
- Viserys looking at Jace and Helaena dancing is bittersweet; warms his heart to see his family getting along, but also reminds him of what could've been had he put his foot down, as you said, on the betrothal Rhaenyra proposed all those years ago.
- This one is just kind of cute, but Baela was ready to defend her man during that fight! Look at her in the back clenching her fists 😂
The musical accompaniment of this scene made it special and memorable. Here the actors perfectly played the reaction to the appearance of the king. He went to protect his daughter! And the moment when Viserys went to the throne and Daemon helped him - is the most powerful and touching scene! The brothers moment is the best scene. Actors👏👏👏
Funny thing about Daemon helping Viserys is... it was improvised. The crown fell by mistake, that wasn't supposed to happen, but they just rolled with it.
It was improvised on the first take. Then the actors chose to do it over and over during every subsequent take to force the director to keep it in. @@octavianpopescu4776
The music makes me think of that ending from the lion king where Simba roars to the heavens, very fitting.
Sofie, honestly. Reaction videos are my thing 😂 I love them so much because you get to experience something you love through someone else's eyes like it is the first time again, and also get different and fresh perspectives on everything. And as someone who adores this type of content I think is clear when someone is just another reactor looking for easy views and making faces to the camera, and when the reactor actually opens their heart and mind to the content, appreciates it and has something unique and personal to say. And Sofie you are one of this rare reactors who actually cares about what they're reacting and has a unique voice in the youtube community. Honestly , you're the best.
This episode and the final dinner scene hits so much harder the more you watch it. It's so bittersweet as you realize that's truly "the last supper" and that both sides won't ever be at peace again like Viserys last witnessed. If only that moment could last. When you know what's coming for all those characters in the room, you realize the real power of that scene. And. Here. We. Go......
Sofie, I'm really glad you understood what the show was trying to do with the dinner scene with the beautifully composed music in the background while showing establishing shots of Viserys and him being surrounded by his happy family for once. A lot of reactors don't realize it or don't include it in the final cut because there is no dialogue, but I could tell how emotional you were when you realized that Viserys was looking at his family being happy for the final time. Beautiful scene and score.
Rhaenry gave a nod to Daemon to "act", really cool subtle detail
And yes, people would mention it multiple times, but Daemon helping Viserys after the crown fell and placing it on his head was initial impov by actors that was included in the scene (not the first improv, but the act as "canon" in the script)
what sign ,what moment ?
I sincerely enjoyed your reaction Sofie. You are perceptive and empathetic. Thank you sweet girl.
Vaemond has really interesting motivations in this episode.
Of course he is right to object an impostor usurping his family, but at the same time it's undeniable that personal ambition is what drives him the most.
By binding Jace and Luke with Baela and Rhaena the Velaryon bloodline would have continued regardless through Laena's line, but he still objected the proposal because of his ambitions and his pride.
Once Viserys declared Luke the heir Vaemond was done for, it was only a matter of time before the Blacks (mainly Daemon) came for him next.
Despite only being an important character for this episode it's really cool how much we got to understand him and his actions and ambitions.
I dont think so lawful succession works that way. It's like Cersie asking Stannis to marry joffery and shireen so baratheon bloodline continues and Stannis let go his chance to succeed throne 😂
@@AK-pw3oq There is a huge difference between the Throne and ruling one noble house. Rhaenyra's kids are also not twin-cest born bastards from a Non-Targ house. Finally, Stannis' problem was never "Baratheon blood should rule" it was that by law the throne was HIS. Vaemond just babbles about "Velaryon Blood" continuing to rule their house, and the solution provided solved that.
@@KS-xk2soThe throne and house succession are the same in process but the differ in the levels of power inherited, and it doesn't matter if the boys are non targ for inheriting the valyerion house, it matters if they are Valyerion. However you are correct about Vaemond ultimately being incorrect about his inheritance succeeding because his bloodline is in jeopardy, because the Rhaenys deal still keeps the blood in the inheritance. However bastardy is still a major roadblock.
Vaemond never had much of a claim anyway, as it were acknowledged that Rhaenyra's sons were bastards and that Laenor died without issue then the next in line to inherit Driftmark would be his sister Laena and then her twin daughters. The law and tradition in most of Westeros has long been that daughters inherit after sons but before brothers, uncles, or cousins.
Also, in the books at least, there have been so many intermarriages between Targaryens and Velaryons that Rhaenrys herself has about as much Velaryon blood as Vaemond does.
@@spartanoreo5075 At least the boys were of Targaryen blood, having inherited the gene of dragonriding
I think with Rhaneyra’s speech felt good for Alicent to hear. She has been there for her husband taking care of him when it didn’t seem like for awhile it was her dream but she did what she thought was right. I think the confirmation from her speech is what made Alicent soften.
23:36 They stated in post-episode interviews that when Vaemond looked Daemon in the eye, he realized that _somehow_ Daemon was going to have him killed for challenging Rhaenyra's sons like this (even though he failed), he realized he was a dead man anyway, so Vaemond actively chose to hold on to his honor and dignity by defiantly shouting that they are bastards, knowing that Daemon would kill him where he stands. It wasn't a moment of stupidity out of blind anger.
That actually makes total sense. I can see that playing out in his head.
What draws tears from my eyes is that it was Viserys's greatest failure. He could see the Truth, the Truth of what actually matters in Life, but he could not make them see, no matter how hard he tried.
Also their kindness, if even for a short time, to let a dying man believe those he loved would be okay.
OMG! I cry every time I watch this episode!!!! Sofi is a master at breaking down the small but pivotal details of this show. This was brilliantly written. The strength and power Viserys showed when he stood for his daughter and by his heartfelt speech at supper was chef’s kiss! He successfully achieved his destiny and corrected his errors at the VERY last minute when Alicent acknowledged Rhynyra as Queen. BUT…he f**ks it all up by fumbling the prophecy before he dies…and the dance begins 🤯 The fact that Paddy was not nominated for an Emmy is TREASON!!!🤬
I am so glad you can see both sides and aren't an Alicent hater like most HOTD reactors!!! I loved her from the first episode and will keep on loving her until the end 💚
It's because people think are just bias they have to understand not everyone is good in this world and Viserys is stupid for let go on instead of acknowledging that her kids are bastards
The best episode of the show. Incredibly emotional. You can tell how good it is when Sofie breaks her record for most cries in an episode.
8:40 - The "Plan B tea" / "Morning-After Tea" is called "Moon Tea". Yeah a couple of reviewers wondered if Alicent was tricking her with poison or something - I never did - but the director confirmed in an interview day after premiere that it was just Moon Tea. In fact, we JUST found out that Dyana (Maddie Evans) will return in Season 2.
That means they will probably make blood and cheese about her.
@@drrohanjacob not necessarily
I wondered about that since it was rumoured that Alicent's weapon of choice is poison. I think I just said that on another reactor's channel actually. I wonder if Dyana ended up being the mother of one of Aegon's supposed bastard's that tried to make a play for the throne? We already met one of them but I can't remember which child had their mother the driving force behind them?
@@drrohanjacobnope, they'll probably just introduce her child. She probably didn't drink moon tea enough or the moon tea wasn't brewed in right way. In the books Aegon had many bastard childs.
@@thedragondemands5186The way they are going about it ,I fear they will white wash it and say blood and cheese was just mysarias revenge and will probably leave rhenyra out of it.
It would ruin the story but they seem to jump through hoops to keep rhenyra as blameless as possible like with laenor.
I say that as someone strongly on team black
31:50 They basically made Helaena on the autistic spectrum in the TV series - though Westeros doesn't have a word for "autism". This is sort of a change from the books, but the books DO very specifically describe Helaena's _daughter_ Jaehaera as being like this, and the co-authors of the World book stated their impression was "Jaehaera is on the autistic spectrum, but their society doesn't have a term for that or really know what it is". So they made the mother like the daughter.
Helaena is kinda loopy in the books ngl but I guess they wanted to showcase a neuro-divergent person and chose her 😂
Paddy Considine did what no one expected in this episode, RIP King Vissy T, RIP my king!! 🙏
Your putting into words the beautiful poetry of the writing in this show, not just this episode is a pleasure to watch.
Although it's never confirmed in canon, the actor, Paddy Considine, and in fact the fandom in large, i believe, have said somewhat vocally that this (ad-libbed) line "My Love" was indeed referring to Aemma. I like to believe in the final moments before he died, as his consciousness left him, he saw her there waiting for him; finally, at long last, free of their earthly duties, free of the crown, the politics, finally free to rest.
Its 100% for aemma, I don’t have any doubt in that and I don’t see how someone can have it. He only true love was for aemma for alicent was duty
Like you Sofie, I was crying streams of tears everytime Viserys was on screen. Paddy's final performance was amazing.
The Velaryon theme is absolutely majestic! I get chills every time I hear it. One of my favorite themes in all of thrones.
You have to be the best reactor out there! Coz everything you feel and say is exactly how I felt and reacted. Down to the simplest things like the way the kingsguard introduced King Viserys, which I think was one of the most epic moments of this show! And that man's voice and words were the catalyst to the brilliance of that moment! It got me so emotional. I appreciate you ❤
If they were not comfronted, I'm certain Aemond and Daemon would be very close since they are very alike. They admire each other, Aemond looks up to Daemon and Daemon sees himself in Aemond. They could have had a good mentor-pupil relationship if the dance hadnt occur.
If you’re wondering Lucerys laughed at Aemond because of the roasted Pig in front of Aemond. Remember Lucerys was one of the kids who bullied Aemond as a kid and gave him a pug instead of a dragon so when they were all eating Luce remembered that and decided to laugh at him for it.
Thats why luceris sign death sentence for himself ading to eye)
I thought it was because Aemond was incompetent in controlling a dragon 😂
@@drrohanjacob maybe he should have worried about controlling his dragon more instead of pissing in pant in fear 😂
@@AK-pw3oqif you blame luc for what happened you might have some kind of chromosome deficiency.
i still find it hilarious that yall think a 6 yo can bully a 10 year old 😭😭. not to mention they are family. did u guys not have fun w your cousins? 😭😭 like i get it dragons are big in their family but rly lets be honest he just couldnt take a joke. also like his father said his brother put them up to it.
Aegon holding Luke down to stop him from getting to Aemond as Jacaerys and he almost brawl while Rhaena having to hold Baela back to stop her from defending Jace was so funny
*This* is how you do a storyline. *This* is how you write a character arc. *This* is how you make a man walking down a hall one of the most epic and touching moments in television history. *This* is how you write a script, you hacks!
And the brotherly moment breaks you completely indeed.
Love your insight into Alicent here. She was pressured into marriage with her best friend’s father, lost her friend over it, saw her friend have dalliances and romances she herself would never experience, and wanted so much to be acknowledged.
9:09 I think it's also because of the dragon's blood within them. They're wild like dragons, so it becomes harder for Alicent to control them as they get older I think
To me this is one of the great episodes in the Song of Ice and Fire universe, and your insights made it even better in my eyes.
if I were to choose which actor surprised me the most for their performance that would be Paddy Considine. this guy plays Viserys with so much perfection that i don't know how to describe it
Oh man, I really loved this reaction, Sofie. In a season jam packed with incredible scenes, Viserys' entrance into the throne room is my absolute favorite. Also, since I'm making this comment after you have watched episode 10, the Kings Guard who announced Viserys was Ser Erryk Cargyll, who later brings Rhaenyra her father's crown and pledges fealty to her.
A lot of people forget that even though Rhaenyra and Daemon didn’t actually kill Laenor they still let Rhaenys believe that he was dead after just losing her daughter and they let her believe this for six years and the loss of their son even led to Corlys abandoning her so I don’t know why everyone thinks it would just be a little fix it moment if they just told her the truth
if anything telling the truth could make the situation worse
@@fabiolaliano8620 yeah I think it’s just bad writing because if she tells the truth..and I was Rhaenys personally, I would be very resentful of rhaenyra. First she’s supposed to get the crown that was originally promised to Rhaenys, then it’s made clear in the show that she’s not happy that Rhaenyras three children don’t belong to Laenor, even though she knows laenor had his part in it, and it wasn’t completely Rhaenyra‘s fault, and then she loses her daughter, which she unfairly blames Daemon for and Daemon can’t help what happens in childbirth or laenas decision and then immediately loses her son weeks later, and Rhaenyra and Daemon take no time in getting married, and then before this shoddily put together proposal rhaenyra was trying to place her son as the heir to driftmark even though Rhaenys thinks that that should belong to baela as Laena first child. I really think the only reason she excepted Rhaenyras proposal is she thought it would help and she took in account her granddaughters wishes and place it over her own resentments of the situation. I don’t think she just magically got over all of her history with Rhaenyra and Daemon.
If they would tell the truth about Laenor, then Rhaenyra's younger sons with Daemon could be regarded as bastards too.
@@aaronia8092 yeah but they could’ve told Rhaenys in private because I think Rhaenys would’ve let him go but letting her believe her only other child was murdered only weeks after her daughters death is still pretty bad even though they didn’t kill him but it’s just glossed over a lot of time in the fandom. Daemon and rhaenyra are my favorite characters but I hate when fans white wash them and try to act like they’re not morally grey people.
You summed up Viserys entry into the throne room so well. His greatest moment... never thought I'd bawl my eyes out watching an elderly decrepit man make an entrance without saying a word.
Not sure if I ever saw a reaction as good as yours for this show, especially this episode. Great reaction
1:15 Driftmark is his by NO RIGHTS - the way male-preference primogeniture works, Corlys's younger brother only inherits after Corlys's entire bloodline is extinguished, including the girls. A lord's daughter inherits ahead of his younger brother. If Rhaenyra's sons are bastards, the rightful heirs are Laena's daughters.
Exactly. Daughters come before Uncles
Yeah like he kind of forgot about Baela and Rhaena. He would never get the seat even if Luke got disinherited
@gojoshine5961He just seemed to have a death wish.
Even if that council favored him,did he really think either Daemon or rhenyra would let him live to enjoy it
Finally someone says it , vaemond was not justified in this episode he was just power grasping and got mad when it didn't work .
Surely Vaemond still has the best claim though? Laena married Daemon, a Targaryen. This means Baela & Rhaena count as Targaryen through patrilineal marriage. The next Velaryon available is Vaemond
Okay, I think I mentioned, back in episode 2 or 3, that I'd say later what's wrong with Viserys. According to what I've read, Viserys is suffering from leprosy.
I was honestly astonished that Paddy Consadine didn’t get an Emmy nomination for this. He felt underused as an actor through some of the early episodes, but this episode gave him a chance to make Viscerys a worthy king, and he owned it. Stunning contrast between the ruined face and the gallant man whose body has betrayed him.
The series is very emotional, but as I watched it, I started to notice all of Aegon's chuckles, it's hilarious. Someone on RUclips made a crack video of him. I advise those who have already watched the season, cheer yourself up)
Paddy deserves an Emmy for this episode alone
Rhaenyra and Alicent scenes together always hits different, its so bittersweet like we can see there is so much resentment, angry between but there is still love for each other deep down and those past good memories of them being best of friends!!!! 💚🖤
"Her children are bastard", Vaemond said calmly.
they've had issues with each other but Daemon has always truly loved his brother, he was genuinely heartbroken when Viserys didn't chose him as his Hand, Daemon is not a good guy but he is a good brother, i also love how Daemon waited until Viserys wanted that idiot dead before he acted.
Hugs for tears for your Grandfather. This brings me to tears in memory of losing my Daddy
You are my favorite reactor to this show. You catch everything and it’s really amazing
Viserys's character appears to us as a really worthy king of House Targaryen in this episode. He proves that not all battles can be won only with the sword. Paddy Considine's playing in this episode definitely deserves a film award.
He is a good king but a stupid man. As much as I want Rhaenyra to be Queen, he had set his houses future in stone when he refused to name Aegon as Heir.
He was as bad as mad king when it comes to destroying family Dynasty with stupid descision making 😂
He was one of the stupidest kings
Most loyal brother ever!
his last smile got me ....TEARS!!!!!
The way it was shot/edited when Viserys let’s his crown fall and we see a hand reach to pick it up we believe is Viserys only to be revealed that was Daemon picking it up, followed by a “come on”. Perfect perfect scene. Impossible not to get emotional.
Also, Daemon is so funny man.
He can keep is tongue… 🙂

Great episode man RIP Viserys. He will be missed. He may not been the perfect king. But he did the best that he could. Great moment with Viserys entrance as well Daemon helping him to the throne. You can tell from Daemon's face that he's having a moment of regret for not working things ouf with his brother. But man that scene with Daemon cutting off the top half of Vaemon head was intense. Even tho Vaemon was right about Rhaenyra kids. But he totally forgot who house he was in. And Daemon reminded him of that. Great reaction\commentary from you.

I really like 1 and 3 and 6 and 10 .
Another great reaction video! You’re videos are the best. You’re so insightful and genuine 🩵
I still think the theory that Alicent was in love with Rhynera is very plausible. Because of her faith and the way the world works she knew she couldn't have what she truly wanted. But she was also jealous of Rhynera being able to do as she pleased without consequences or at least by her standards. The resentment grew til it overpowered everything but she never truly hated Rhynera. And she missed having her friend, she doesn't have anyone close to her that isn't doing so for personal gain.
Sadly he was not nominated for an emmy
One lesson of GoT is that children often fail to listen to the widom of their elders. The King has flaws yet if his kids/grand kids would listen and respect their King they may have kept power. Their ignorance and pride ruined them
I'm late getting to HotD with you because of my chemo. I'm sure happy to be here now...
In case you don't know, Viscerys had noninfectious Leprosy.
Many, many people pushed for Paddy to go the Emmy for his performance of the king, but he was denied...😪
I think he wanted to see his large family happy together one more time.
Aemond wasn’t so much threatened but annoyed that Daemon ruined his fun and he didn’t see a point to continue. Those two are very similar yet incredibly different, with Aemond duty is very much what his character strives for- he’s ready to do so no matter the cost and already at a young age is prepared for things greater than child fights (although as with the dinner, he’s still young) but he understand for example that tourneys are of no matter to him, meanwhile daemon when he was that age was more prone to ladies and tourneys and a different type of ego.
FYI daemon should have trained the strong boys better they really aren’t doing much strength wise 😩.
Ewan Mitchell is incredible as an actor. Him and Matt really carry a lot (as does most of the cast though)
He’s literally going to abandon his family to fuck some 49 year old lady and he wasted Vhagar the entire wR
Maybe somewhat true but basically he bitched out cause there isn’t one other person in that room even his mommy who could stop him. He wanted to keep it going but COULDN’T cause daemon plunked him with just a sigh and a stare like a true boss.
@@GlennShook No I dont think he wanted to continue. I think Aemond somehow admires Daemon (a bit in secret). When he calls the fight out, he leaves. In another time they would have been very close sadly is the Dance of the Dragon time. What a performance for Paddy Condisine is everything a king and ruler should be,George RR Martin congratulated him on his performance and Say his Viserys(Paddy) is better than the Viserys of the books, he nailed it, is such a shame he's not nominated for the Emmys.
I think the "my love" was to Aemma who was meeting him to lead him to Heaven.

Daemon has always been there for viserys it was Otto that wa adoring everything in his power the make daemon a villain,
Fun fact: when the great council was called daemon was the first support viserys claim and gather an army in his name in case it came to war with rhaenys daemon had always supported viserys and loved his family very much
People don’t hold Viserys accountable for his children and blame Allicent alone. It always confuses me as to why.
To be fair Alicents the only functional parent visarys is a wailing corpse .
What are u talking about Visery has only one child Rhenyra, he said it himself😂😂
He lost an eye. I say he and Aemond are even. 😂
She beats her children
Because she raised them. Right or wrong he didn’t love them as much but was also in terrible health much of their lives. Also she is setting even worse example for them, protecting rapist son, protecting murdering knight, stealing throne, ignoring marriage proposal from rhaenyra, list is endless. She is pure evil. Pretends to be religious all about the 7 then does all that. 🤡🤔
*I STRONGLY recommend that you watch episodes 9 and 10 back to back.* Episode 9 had a very confusing and divisive ending, but episode 10 started right away with an explanation - maybe not a great explanation, but a presentable in-universe explanation. The end of episode 9 makes no sense in so many ways. First Rhaenys killed hundreds of innocent people to just look cool and didn’t even end the war by killing Aegon so she simply killed people for no reason. They thought it looks cool so let’s do it even when it makes no sense. Also I wish Aegon had Sunfyre there like in the book so she couldn’t do that freely because Sunfyre would defend Aegon.
So basically the series made Rhaenys a mass murdered for no reason except a scene that looks cool but just makes things more confusing.
Paddy Considine deserves an Emmy.
I really appreciate your reaction. You are so good. The way you dissect every scene and understands every character is amazing. You don’t boil it down to good characters/bad characters.
It's was Erryk who announced the king
Daemon this episode: fuck around and find out 😂😂
Guys, one thing that must be taken into account and that people do not realize is that if Alicent accepted that Helaena married Jace, she would be turning her daughter into a hostage. At the first opportunity, the Blacks use Helaena against the Greens.
He's the best dad.
Nothing cuts like Valyrian steel
Best entrance in Game of Thrones history
Sofie in Game of Thrones : "Jon Snow is Dany's Nephew. the two of them together? Eeeeeewww!!!!!!"
Sofie in House of the Dragon : "If only Viserys had put his foot down and forced Helena (Aunt) and Jace (her nephew) to marry."
You've come a long way, girl.
El gran recorrido `evolutivo´ es el de la religiosa Alicent casando a su hijo con su hija
I don't quite remember who was it, if the director or Paddy himself, but one of them said that Viserys wasn't walking towards the throne, he was walking towards Rhaenyra.
I kinda saw his death coming from the start but still was sad af watching this episode
I felt from a few episodes in that Viserys as king and Daemon as hand would’ve been the perfect pair. Viserys is a king we would’ve had today in a much more peaceful society but he didn’t have the fire for the brutal time he reigned in. Daemon had the fire and the ability to do what was needed, together they’d have been the perfect balance
For the Hightowers, religion IS their power. Oldtown, the city built round THEIR keep was the main centre for the Faith of the Seven prior to Targaryen rule, religion brings people to Oldtown, people bring prosperity to the Hightowers, they go hand-in-hand.
Really how good is this for a 1st season? and it isn't finished yet!, I regret to have read the book only cause it would be amazing seeing it without knowing. Your reactions are the best keep up!
Considering Rhaenyra had 3 kids with Daemon within 6 years, if they were married sooner 10 years ago, it's likely they'd keep the same pace, if not somehow faster. They could have had 7-10 kids by the same point in time, a whole royal airforce, and STILL wouldn't match Queen Alysanne's numbers yet.
