I feel like the cloak tiers are too different from each other to really be considered "tiers". They feel more like completely different back pieces than tier upgrades.
@@boxhead6177 they said you get the first tier, then you upgrade it into the second tier, then the last tier is what you get finally to show that you are done with the covenant and at the end of its questing. They are upgrades depending on the storyline you choose.

Wow. I have to admit, these are some amazing pieces for all armor types. EVEN MAIL! Finally mail gets some serious love. My favorite thing about all of the sets is the fact that the shoulders and head pieces have some sort of glowing effect. It's so nice to have these things return after a REALLY long time
The Venthyr Leather Set and Tier 2 back piece is straight up made for an Assassination Rogue. If they do bring back class tier sets, I would've believed them if they said it was the Rogue tier.

It took 15 years but we finally get the option of choosing between robe or non-robe for cloth wearers. I hope Shadowlands opens up character and gear/transmog customization further.
Just wanted to say that I love the content you create here! Glad I stumbled across your channel now that I've decided to get back into WoW when Shadowlands drop. Seeing these sets has really not made it any easier at all to choose a covenant, but I really like the look of these sets. I guess being an altoholic has some upsides to it..

looking back from now, i am SO glad they changed the night fae mail set, it looks so much better now and especially with so many of these mail sets seeming aimed more for hunters than shamans, the night fae set is delightfully shaman and I'm in love
So, I actually don't care for the tombstone back piece. Hear me out. It has a large round base like it was meant to be placed on the ground, not on your back. If it was just the stone slab of the tomb stone without the base it would make more sense as a back piece and look cleaner. With the base it looks like a world object glitched and stuck to your back.
@@Marconius6 It is ment to be Your Sinstone, it ment to be big and heavy as it represents the burden of Your sins that made You be sent to Ravendreth. I get why You guys do not like it but i love it for Lore reasons hehe.

But picture this, remove the base piece and make the slab taller and thicker, thick heavy chains are attached and wrap around your neck leaving the slab to dangle behind you. Add physics to it so that it sways with your motions. It is clearly heavy and uncomfortably adorned so that with every step your character is constantly reminded of their sins. Awesome to behold. Instead what we got looks like someone used an invisible clothes pin to stick an emo "kick me" sign to your back. It doesn't hover or sway like it is magically following behind you like you see with the dagger "wings". It just sits there looking artificial and stilted.
I like the cloak options but I also kinda feel like what’s the purpose of wearing a gravestone on your back. Hopefully we’ll get things like a mage wearing a bundle of staffs or a pack full of spell books. Or a shaman totems and a warrior caring extra weapons. Just for class flavor.
That is primarily the reason I want to get the dragonscale backpack, small little details such as pouches hanging from your waist or having a backpack on your character gets you more immersed as a champion/traveler/adventurer of Azeroth. I really hope they do something like that in SL or perhaps in the near future in upcoming patches.
I really do hope all these covenant perks will be balanced. It will definitely help in choosing for transmog instead of being forced into one for buffs.
Well, just look at how the Wrathion backpack scales on races and genders now...the human females have ridiculously tiny backpacks. Even gnomes have a bigger one.
all of the back pieces are absolutely incredible. the wow art team continues to carry the entire game on its back oh my god. my troll shaman is gonna look siiiick in the necrolord mail set.

As a plate user I do feel disappointed in what the options are, especially compared to a few of the leather an mail ones. I do appreciate the fact that the looks are starting to get a bit more "out there" and less retextures of the same models, but it feels very lackluster compared to the other armor types. Hoping there are better options for me out in the game world! Great video, hope to watch more!
The grave stone has replaced the stormcaller totems (shaman challenge mode shoulders from MoP) as the most awesomely ridiculous piece in the game, in my opinion.
I think it'd be neat if somehow the Cloaks animated into a Unique ability you get from the Coven too, like if the Venthyr Daggers did a sort of Dagger Projection thing. Almost like expanding on the whole 'Artifact/Azerite' ideas visually.
The kyrian and night daw fae cloaks are soooo pretty! I got my holy priest to max level and my holy paly s almost there too! This’ll be my first time doing end game content I’m hype!!!
i'm choosing my covenants lore and fashionwise for each class. Druid = Night Fae, Priest = Kyrian and DH maybe Venthyr. i'm so hyped for the backpacks. i love collection backpacks in GW2. We need more fashion like GW2 in WoW.

Honestly, I feel like leather gets the crap end of the stick most expansions. Not surprised. But with the cloth it seems like they tried on the helmet, maybe the shoulders and gave up on the rest

Venthyr would go great with Rogue or DH IMO and I can picture my Monk rocking the Kyrian one, I feel like I have to go with Night Fae on my Druid thematically but I am a bit disappointed with that set.
A little disappointed in the Night Fae mail set... 😞 Everything else looked so thought out, that one felt like a bit of a letdown. And I didn’t see a helm? Kind of sad because I’m a hunter and I know I’m picking Night Fae. They’re very my personal aesthetic.
All the Necrolord stuff looks so cool... I'm glad I'm going with that one on my main. I do hope the bone wings are nice and big, though if not I have always wanted a mog with a flag on the back. Gonna have to go Venthyr for my Orc Warrior, honestly just for the shoulderpads more than anything else, and I'm thinking about Nightfae for my Vulpera Warlock but I honestly don't really like any of their sets. Maybe they'll grow on me. Bastion's all like, look at me I'm Lawful Good, and I'm just over here like the titan themed armor sets were cooler.
I already have a mog that I like and I don't collect mounts. I don't raid anymore, so I won't be agonizing over the best covenant powers. It looks like I will be choosing my covenant based on which Sanctum I like best. That being said, I am really looking forward to seeing these mogs on other characters. Some of them are awesome and some are awesomely bad, but very few of them are boring.
Keep in mind that if you like the way the shoes look on a set, you likely won't be able to see them on a cow, troll, draenei, vulpera, mechagnome, worgen. Although if you're using anything but the heritage set on a mechagnome, you're just asking for disappointment.
TBH, I'm a little iffy on the Night Fae leather set, which is the covenant I'd ideally choose on my Druid assuming abilities are pretty well balanced enough. As for the other leather sets I feel like Kyrian would go well on my Monk, Venthyr for my DH, and Necrolords for my Rogue (although I'm also really tempted to go Venthyr with him too just for the dagger back piece).
Ears and all those sets also questing items looks so bad. Textures yeah better but design is horrible. Plate without any taste just bulky whatever that resembles convs and cloth again hooded sets nothing new, nothing special and fantasy breeze from it just hooded magus type sets bleh
Mmm gotta love the night fae leather helmet in all its glitchy glory lol but in all seriousness, as a worgen druid main I find it hard to find helmets that look good and generally chose to just hide the helmet, and with what I've seen so far that will probably be the covenant I choose, we'll see when shadowlands is released.
Choosing a main first is probably a good idea... yeah... just have to... choose. I mean it's not like I'm working on a chart of all my characters, sorting them into different covenants based on lore/aesthetic even if some of them are like level 42 and haven't been played in years. Cough. But at least now I know that I _need_ a cloth char in the Night Fae and the Necrolords, respectively. So pretty.
Cant wait to pick Maldraxxus for my troll mage, looks so fucking bomb I cant even. Im so excited, especially because I prefer pants over robes. Venthyr looks great with the mask and shoulders, but all other pieces lack in quality, whereas Maldraxxus looks amazing everywhere, even boots as you mentioned yourself. So unless thats changed, I made my choice.

Its either a "placeholder" naming convention during development, or that's reputation/reward tier.

I think for the Night Fae Cloak Tier 3, you should be able to click on it and get a few extra slots (as an extra backpack)

You can choose to have really small ears as an Elf with the new customization options.
Mmm gotta love the night fae leather helmet in all its glitchy glory lol but in all seriousness, as a worgen druid main I find it hard to find helmets that look good and generally chose to just hide the helmet, and with what I've seen so far that will probably be the covenant I choose, we'll see when shadowlands is released.

ardenweald cloth set is fucking amazing, easily the best looking cloth set.

Choosing a main first is probably a good idea... yeah... just have to... choose.
I mean it's not like I'm working on a chart of all my characters, sorting them into different covenants based on lore/aesthetic even if some of them are like level 42 and haven't been played in years. Cough.
But at least now I know that I _need_ a cloth char in the Night Fae and the Necrolords, respectively. So pretty.
Cant wait to pick Maldraxxus for my troll mage, looks so fucking bomb I cant even. Im so excited, especially because I prefer pants over robes. Venthyr looks great with the mask and shoulders, but all other pieces lack in quality, whereas Maldraxxus looks amazing everywhere, even boots as you mentioned yourself. So unless thats changed, I made my choice.
