This is the first time I've watched a Nollywood film and I'm surprised at how good it is! This Osuofia guy... he's really a great actor. I'll look forward to watching the rest of this tomorrow. "If you don't know how to flash your assets to young men, you better start learning now 😅" brilliant. Nollywood has a new fan from Scotland 🏴
Lol!! Very funny, except you miscalculated your DOB, you do not know your actual age! This movie was shot, produced and released in 2003!! Part 2 was released in 2004!!
That's a big lie! I was 8 yrs+ when I watched this movie, that was around 2004, part 2 came out the following year, I remember watching part 2 the following year when my dad told me osoufia part 2, I and my immediate younger sister jumped on him and we watched it that very day in 2005, to God be the glory, I'm almost 30yrs now..🙏🏼 and Osoufia him self will be in his late 50s or early 60s..
This movie is a work of art, it perfectly depicted the life shortly after colonialism. The life without technology and politics. The background sounds and narration would go unnoticed but if you’re into filmmaking, you would know the makers of this movies are genius
This movie is sooo good pure African dynamics which make us very mysterious to the rest of the world.. Good Joy and congratulations to every one in the team

The scene where they brought message about Dona's death is the most telling of the post colonial African culture, where our grandfathers in Nigeria had so much trust and respect for the teachers and believed in them so much . If not for the teacher, Mazi Osuofia would not have believed the man in suit at all. This trust for teachers made our grand parents send their kids to schools and they went on to become highly educated people. I think that in part, led the way to Nigeria becoming the most educated population in Africa, and indeed the rest of the world.
