Hi Jan, thanks for this video highlighting the weather in Iceland during the Summer months.
Glad you got the Snowstorm in June on video as it is hard to comprehend that happening.
It is so true that the weather can change quickly and be very variable especially there in Iceland. It is good to have some warm clothing and also summer clothing to make sure you are covered for any weather conditions. It is awful to be in a climate where you don't have the adequate cloths you need to be comfortable.
The footage that you had sitting on your deck with the Snow capped Mountain in the distance was just stunning.

Hello Ben! I'm glad you enjoyed the video :) It sure was a big surprise for everyone here. Exciting to experience this weather in June, but also a little bit sad as it took its toll on local wildlife and it affected farmers in the area a lot. It seems like we're going to see more and more of these extremes every year. But for us skiers and photographers definitely exciting times

I've been bingeing your videos Jan - good stuff. Heading to Westfjords, Hornstrandir and a few other places in a couple of weeks.

Thanks a lot! Westfjords are absolutely epic, one of my favourite regions. You will love it there, I can promise you that already! Don't skip Red sand beach on the south coast of Westfjords, this place blow my mind every time I'm there.

    Hi Jan.
I haven’t previously commented on your videos.
    I love your channel.
    Thank you for this upload.
It is nearly a year since my last visit to Iceland and six since my first, both were in June. For anyone who hasn’t been to Iceland, I totally share your sentiments re the warmth in the sun and I do love the long summer nights.
I generally prefer the cooler climes, I fantasise about one day moving to Iceland, currently I am based in Dubrovnik (Club Med summers…yuk)
    Best wishes
    Zoltán

Hello Zoltán, thank you for sharing! Same for me, I've tried spending some months in the tropical areas but soon realised I would rather be too cold than too hot haha! Even my home country Czech has now, for me, unbearable summer temperatures. Croatia is beautiful though, I am hoping to do some traveling there at some point again, last time I was there was years ago. :)

It’s a tad cold here in Adelaide, you would laugh I know 😅 heating on & blankets 😊. I plan on visiting the north on my next visit. There’s a decent bus service so I can get around. I’m also hoping to get to the place where Trapped was filmed.

I just spent few days in my home country Czech and the temperature was 30+ degrees (way above my preferred temperature range haha).
      - Yeah Trapped was filmed in little town Siglufjörður, in my opinion possibly the most beautiful town in Iceland, you'll love it there!

Long story short: 'There is no such thing as summer in Iceland!' Lol...
I've lived there! I love Iceland, but the weather is mostly sh..t! That's mainly why I left!
Anyways, thanks for this video... ;-)

Haha, well our ,,summer'' here should be perhaps called ,, spring'' - at the best. It's not for everyone, but personally I prefer this over 30 degrees. But still, its nice to have a balace, If I get wealthy somehow someday (😅) the dream would be to have a holiday home some place warmer

Very true, endless spring is a more proper name. Until end of August. But in between it is more like "endless autumn." Not too bad, I'll rate the climate there 6/10
