Great video Richard - Obviously most people who watch your channel are interested in watches
(my latest passion is design and DIY). Your videos are also calming and theraputic . . .
    The ideas are great . . .
So why don't more people do this . . . Teach yourself something, sell the service
    1) Paying the mortgauge
    2) Would like to preserve their personal dream - not put it to the test - will not fail . . .
    3) Courage to step out and do something new . . . . . . this is realy a big challenge (they need lots of courage)
    4) Depends whether the person is content doing a routine work
    5) Creative people struggle to stay in a process orientated job . . . (creative people NEED to use their skills)
    6) Usually the new venture involves being proficient across a broader range of skills and possible industries
    7) The existing systems will try to manage your business within their framework - lots of marketing needed.
    8) Would help if you are a second generation person in your skill - parents provided lots of background insight
Was it worth the struggle and challenges -- yes absolutely 🙂🙂

@@richardperrettwatchmaker - Thanks for starting this topic - something I find facinating.
Somepeople become very wealthy . . . my thoughts so far
      1) It is difficult entering a market selling very expensive products to wealthy clients
      2) Examples -- private builders providing luxury homes, unique sculptures (e.g. Henry Moore) and contemporary art (Banksy).
      3) There are RUclips channels with approximately - 1.5 million subscribers e.g. *Itchy Boots*
Dedication - would you be happy sitting on a motorbike - with the engine switched off - with 3 male lions approx 60 feet away?

    God bless you,
thank you for your vid, done in your personal and unique way, kind of "the richard perrett - way".
Well that is also one maybe additional good habit to these good habits.
Make what do in your own unique personal way, kind of "the Rolex way".
Even if ultimatively maybe nothing what you do is that special, others do that too.
But only Rolex can do things the Rolex-way.
Thank you again for your vid,

not everyone can afford a rolex, but we all can afford a good watch. I feel that rolex are blown out of proportion, the people I see wearing rolex are people who cannot afford them (got a loan) just look around at the money people and they are not (for the most part) wearing a high dollar watch, even the people who can afford them. I have an atomic watch that is more accurate than ANY rolex and not breaking the bank. my thoughts are that it is for the prestige of saying, It's a Rolex. save your money for what is more important things in life, just living comfortably for an example

There is a body of evidence to say that Rolex Marketing is shooting itself in the foot with the endless persuit of exclusivity. Technically, there is a view that Omega are better watches but Rolex has made a policy of marketing to secure the brand image. This is now resulting in a vacuum in the supply which is being filled by the replica makers. There are now replicas that test even a Rolex expert. Once people can't tell a fake from real without a loop and disassembly, more and more will buy a replica if they are refused, in a Rolex dealer's shop, when trying to purchase the real thing.... 😕
