Please be who you are. Most home cooks are not professional cooks. We want mixes and recipes that work and are quick and easy. Thank you for what you do.
I’m definitely trying to strike that balance. I want what I create to work and be good but also want to keep it casual and easy. I’m figuring it all out 🤗
I love watching you tube videos and frequently read the comments and I am appalled by some of the comments. I take what I like from the videos and leave the rest. I’m a new subscriber to your channel and liked it very much.
It's shameful how in today's society no matter what you do there is always someone who feels it is their calling to criticize. 'You do you' is a great mantra to live by. Thank you for your wonderful ideas and tips. The special ingredient in all baking/cooking is love.
The people who criticize that the sugar is already in the mix should look at the cookie mixes sold in stores. They are made the same way. They turn out delicious!
Just a suggestion, you could add another gift to your bag, such as pot holders, a dish towel or dish cloths, placed between the jars for protection from breakage.
I have enjoyed watching these videos. It brought back a good memory. Years ago (about 35 years) my son’s 3rd grade class made cookie mixes in mason jars to sell to make money for their field trip. The parents sent the ingredients. They had the children layer the ingredients and they included the chocolate chips or m&ms . In the instructions they wrote you could add your favorite nuts. The children also decorated the jars. They sold out within an hour at the school carnival.
Don't change the way you are accustomed to doing something due to someone not liking the idea of mixing in a jar vs bowl. Those who prefer to premix then add to a jar can do so and vice versa. Not having to change anything about your processes to please others is a true sense of belonging. If you have to change things to please others, you are just fitting in. You belong here!
Thank you for this perspective. I try to balance it between staying true to myself and accepting the good advice offered by others. I want this to be a community so if someone offers an idea that I like, I want to implement it. But you’re right, I don’t want to do that just to please others. It’s been interesting finding my voice on this journey. I appreciate your support so much!
Don't worry about the people who criticize you. Your mixes are fine. I've been making my own for 40 years just like you do. I'm enjoying watching you, it's like watching one of my granddaughters
I found your channel from your first baking mixes video. But what’s kept me here is the way you’re really detailed when explaining recipes and processes. It really helps my brain when you slow down and really drive points home. I so greatly appreciate that. 😂❤ I’m a home baker and cooking I have down, but baking is still hard for me!
I’m from Sweden and always make cinnamon rolls from scratch. Everything I bake or cook is from scratch course that’s what I learned from my mama, she learned from her mama etc And that’s what I taught my daughter. Thank you for showing how to make up dry mixes which will make it easier. I have never thought about doing this. I will now 😊
For those that want to cream the butter and sugar can mix the dry and just put the sugar in a baggie of some sort and add to in the jar so it can be creamed together problem solved
Hey sweetie. Don’t pay attention to negative messages or comments. You are sharing your wealth of knowledge with all types of people. They DON’T have to use YOUR recipes. “ Your kitchen, your rules ❤”. Keep doing what you love. People who appreciate you, will support you.
That was the nicest comment here today and you encouraged me to be a new subscriber as well! Every time I see haters I think whoever they are being so hateful towards must be doing something great! Those people would love to have a channel filled with videos and lot's of viewers BUT they aren't capable so instead they pick on others to release their jealousy and negative nasty words. Kindness and love are 2 key ingredients in everything we do. Much love and abundant blessings to all ❤🙏❤
I just found your channel and I’m excited to try the mixes. Don’t pay attention to any comments that are negative or criticizing. You do you!! They just need to move on!!
Cooking is not a science is a art, you use your creations, altering the recipe is what it make unique and exciting, thank you for sharing your creativity with us. ❤
Hello, there are so many different ways to achieve the same results. We like how you do it, that's why we are watching you. Please keep doing what you're doing. It is obviously working ❤
I just watched your other pre-mix recipes video, which afterwards immediately brought me to this one. That video really struck a chord with me. I’ve seen a couple other videos similar to these two, but I loved your down-to-earth and straight-forward presentation. And the Good Will shopping idea for jars, too! 🤦♀️ Such a great - and obvious (!) - idea! So after watching that first video of yours, I’m now onto watching this one for more great pre-mix ideas! And am SOOO excited to do this myself!!! Thank you!!!
Very happy to have found your channel. I think you’re a great teacher, and have found your niche on RUclips. Don’t listen to the riff raff, they will always be here trying to cream your dream. The rest of us have your back! Looking forward to your next video. 😀
Thank you SO MUCH, Carol! Honestly I’ve gotten so many awesome comments, the few bad ones haven’t bothered me but it’s only been a few weeks of success 😜 Hopefully I keep feeling that way!
Just a a tip to make your flour last longer before you jar it up store in your freezer for 3 days then let it sit for a day. This keeps any weevil from hatching out for your long term jar storage. But great recipes I’m definitely going to try this. Because it’s very important to know what’s in our food’s.
YES!!! None of the other tricks worked. Especially ones saying to use this spice or that herb. Those little bleepity bleepers actually loved my spice cabinet 🤬
I was trying to decide if I should just go ahead and make them for the video but I was afraid it would get too long. However, we have a camping trip coming up and I think I’m going to make these cinnamon rolls for that. I will try to film it!
@@faithandarrowhomestead You can make separate videos for each recipe, but make sure to show yourself and/or others trying them along with you. The reaction of the taste in the end will sell your video! 💕
I compare your cookie mixes to the bag cookie mixes in the stores without the extra ingredients, and with the bags you can't cream you butter and they still work just fine. I do appreciate the cinnamon roll pre-mix for holiday mornings. I hate pulling out all the ingredients when the kitchen is already in semi clutter due to all the prep. I really want to try the peppermint mocha for a drizzle.
Thank you for your time to make these videos. At this time of things , i feel it is imperative to prep, stock pantry. Instead of spending so much money , buying the basic ingredients would break down the costs. Example: making your own bisquick. It would cost much much less and you can make a large quanity at a time, like 5 gallon bucket sizes. if something was to happen , economic fail, a great depression situation, you can feed your family the things they like, you can bake cookies, your own breads, baking cakes for special times. Poor people before the depression had tricks, they had the skills of their pioneer families, they knew to can and stock their foods. When that economic fall happened , many of the poor didnt even notice , their days was business as usual, doing what they always done. This of course wasnt published , in order to pull at your heart. I live deep Appalachian and these elder folks have told me that they got through depressions and recessions just fine. So I have my youtube on seeking ways to be fully self sustaining when the time comes.
For your Xmas gifts, you should stack the jars with a little bit of hot glue to hold them together. Then you can hot glue on little buttons and eyes, make little paper hats, and big ribbon around them as a scarf, and they are snowmen! Also, I'm glad you're not letting the aggressive comments get to you. That's one thing about RUclips, someone always has something negative to say. But you're great and I'm glad your video took off so I could find you! I hope your channel blossoms!
so enjoy your recipes and your energy :). having made lots of cinnamon rolls, I suggest putting a use by date that is less than the expiration date of the yeast, on your jar/instructions. all leaveners will expire but yeast expires more quickly in my experience. so, if the mix is used after the date, you'd just add in another (fresh) pack of yeast.
As a Health Coach & someone w/ a ton of allergies, intolerances & sensitivities - i LOVE what you're doing here. I've been trying to do a bit of this myself & i just love that you're learning along w/ us as you try to teach the simplicity of the concept. So, THANK YOU! And, as others have said, you do you! I'm happy to have stumbled across a previous video by chance & will continue to be a fan. ❤
Wow, Therese, thank you SO much! This journey can be difficult, discouraging, and confusing. I try to help people understand it can be easier and personalized. I appreciate your encouragement!

Keep going and Good Job. You go girl and don't let others be overly aggressive and grouchy bother you. Your doing just fine.
You could also make a video on how and where and what you buy in bulk to and from that your mixes (be it spices mixes or baking mixes). Try to use basic ingredients, some of us live outside of the US where you cannot get these American mixes. Just a thought. Love the idea of gift mixes. I personally dont cook anything complicated.
I am a newbie here. It showed up on my home page, and I am so glad it did. I love the ideal of premade up mixes. I have been doing pancake/waffle mix for several years. These definitely would be great as gifts. I will be printing the recipes and saving this video. Thank you!
❤ Good morning, I've subscribed just because of the simplicity and money saving recipes. No artificial ingredients And that's rare in store bought ingredients. Thank you ❤
I would love to receive a gift like this. I also love how you are handwriting the recipe. Of course there are faster ways of doing things, but the way you are doing it is very thoughtful. Keep it up!
All I did was package in my mason jars the sugar in a Zip-lock bag and place it on top of the remaining ingredients. I then can remove the sugar and cream with my butter. Love the recipes everything turned out delicious!
You're doing awesome. I am learning so much from your videos. I love that you are willing to help others with what you are learning. You have a sweetness that not everyone has! Keep being the person God made you to be ❤
Yes, TY for all of these mixes…they are AWESOME. I have a tip for your cookies as well: yes, refrigerate your dough, but also bake them on a muffin top pan. This type of pan limits how far they can spread out and the pan also gives you uniform cookies!!! 💕
hi, new follower here, just coming from the 1st part of pre-mixes 😁 (also, fresh cook too, I've just started since a few months ago to experiment with baking, cooking non-standard recipes and such). I'm at the beginning of this video and I really want to say to you that you shouldn't take by heart those criticizing comments, because if the recipes work, then the criticizing is not necessary. Take only those that actually have some advices to you, because you've certainly helped a lot of people with your first video and many are very grateful for your work. Some people are just bored with their life so they want to make others' lives miserable too, unfortunately. Keep up the good work, your videos are appreciated and I'm really looking forward to make my own pre-mixes too, with the help of your recipes 😁 !
I appreciate your encouragement! I have SO many supportive followers, I don’t let the negative people get me down too much. The first mixes video was tough because it got so much attention but people like you really helped a lot :)
I love your part one baking mixes. I love how you put the recipe in your sidebar. I just watched part two. And I saw you didn't do that in this one. I so wish you did. I know it's a lot more work for you. I'm from the older Generation. I don't use computer. And I know there's a lot Of us who don't. Love you shows. But would love to have the recipes. Thanks for your time, You're doing a great job.
Hey Betty! The difference between part one and part two is that I have a website now. The goal is to convert traffic over to my website. The link for the recipes is in the description and you can view it from a phone, you don’t need a computer. It’s just one extra click :)
Love home baking mixes, ive done brownies but not these! So exciting! Dont mind the harsh critics. Its 1 thing to give critism but dont need to be harsh. Lets lift each other up. Love how you explain your mixes!!
You can get the jars of fruit butter in the store and put it in small jars and can them in a steam or water bath. I have done that with a lot of things and they are shelf stable!
Hopefully a helpful tip-try looking at church fairs, or craft fairs for the fruit butters. Lots of time they have them in the 1/2 cup jars. Loving your videos! Thank you!
I’m glad it took off and I found you! I have enjoyed watching your videos since. And this video is exactly what I have planned to do this year for Christmas! Thank you! And thank you for the apple butter cookies😋
I just watched the first mixes video, then this one. I don't think they'll replace any of my current homemade mixes, but I definitely like your style. I'm watching the seasoning blends next, I don't have any of those on my shelves yet.
And another thing that I must add and make a comment there is older people here that it's got carpal tunnel or there is people that is handicapped so I applaud anybody that wants to do it in a jar
Love your videos! I’m new to RUclips content creating, too, and always learning. I am definitely going to give some of these for gifts! Thank you! 👩🏻🍳❤️
Last year for Christmas, i made bowl and plate cozies and cloth napkins to match as my hand made gifts. This year it is going to be kitchen mixes. Super idea.
I’m new here, so Hi!!! I’ve just found you within the last couple days and I have enjoyed everything I’ve watched so far. I am definitely looking forward to your future content. Thanks for having us, Take care 😊.
I’ve canned lots of fruit butters this year so I’m very excited for this apple butter cookie mix recipe! Your message about pan size was so so important for young beginners to use critical/outside the box thinking-it’s an important skill -work with what you have rather than buying specific pans for each recipe!
Just wanted to know I love and appreciate your style of videos!!! So excited to try these recipes out soon!!! Thanks for sharing your content with us!!
Yum to all recipes. Common sense is also an art when it comes to cooking and baking if a recipe needs to spread leave a space, needs to rise don’t fill it to the top or have product that is to bake to rise fill the pan to sides and leave room to rise will help too keep at same height when baking. Aussie Cook , Mum and Grandma.
Yes exactly! Although to be fair I do think cooking/baking is one area where common sense doesn’t always come naturally and can be developed over time. Until you start to learn how things behave when manipulated in these different ways, it’s not always easy to anticipate these things. Which is why I try and point out the areas where common sense can be developed! :)
Watched both of your videos on this topic. Storage in glass jars is probably the best way to go. However, they take up a lot of space, and as an 'old lady' with arthritis, handling jars can be a challenge. I store my mixes in freezer bags ( the press and seal ones), store them flat in paper bags to protect from light, then in well sealing plastic containers. This is a good way to send your homemade mixes to out of state friends/family..
Wanted to give you a quick comment on your mixes video, specifically the cocoa red. I saw that brand in the store also. It is mostly used for red velvet desserts. Staining the chocolate red in the powdered mix so you won’t have to. Hope this helps. Still love the product and your videos. Keep up the good work
Not being critical, but when you want Finer sugar for cocoa mix, you can place regular sugar in a blender, and turn it into finer sugar yourself. As well... if you want your brown sugar in your mixes to be less clumpy and better incorporated, you can place All your ingredients of your mix into a blender, and pulse blend until well incorporated and you'll find a more consistent mix without clumps in it. Love your shiw!😊
What a cute gift idea! I think including the apple butter is smart and will encourage to actually use the jar since it's not a common ingredient to have on hand. I recently made the viral browned butter sourdough chocolate chip cookies and it made soooo many. It would have been nice to have the dry mix on hand so could just make mini batches. I think I'll try this!
I am excited about the applebutter cookie recipe. Our crabapple tree exploded this year. I've made a lot of applebutter and jelly. I think I will package a cookie mix, a biscut mix, and a few jars of jelly and butter. ❤
If you don’t have printable instructions, you can also hand write the instructions on a recipe card. Amazon and EBay both have recipe cards for most occasions, such as Christmas, autumn, floral, etc.
Your hot cocoa is how I made it until I found instead of granulated sugar use powdered sugar. I make that as well. Also sift dry ingredients help to mix in hot water or milk without clumping.
Yes, the next time I make it I will also use powdered sugar. The granulated sugar does work, because the liquid is hot but I agree powdered sugar would be better.
My husband and I are on a journey to get out of debt and create a small homestead. I’ve been working on learning to cook and bake and I loved your other video so I came to watch this one. You’re awesome. Thank you for being brave and sharing your knowledge and methods.
Your instructions are very clear, as is your desire to help all of us succeed. I love the idea or my own mixes as I no longer buy boxes filled with very questionable ingredients. I am just now realizing to have the mixes ready in my pantry would be so convenient. Thank you. Thank you for the Granola Recipe also.😊
Next can you make instant mixes that are gluten free? The store bought versions are so expensive! Love the inspiration your videos give me! Keep up the good work
I’m so sorry, I’m not gluten free and to be honest probably won’t make content that is gf. Do you have celiac’s disease? If not, are you familiar with the work of Sue Becker from Bread Beckers? She has a podcast called Sue’s Healthy Minutes and she talks a lot about gluten sensitivity to processed, store bought flour.
I bake biscuits/cookies for my Gluten Free friend. I substitute out the All Purpose flour for plain GF flour & the recipes come out great. GF is dearer than regular flour. I believe these recipe mixes on this channel would be a straight substitute for GF. I do not know about yeasted/ bread recipes though that require gluten.

You have a sweetness that not everyone has! Keep being the person God made you to be ❤
Sheila, your comments are top notch. Thank you so much!!
For cookies mix, brown butter will take your recipe to the next level.
Oh absolutely! I LOVE brown butter chocolate chip cookies.
Some people don’t accept change readily lol ignore the haters and feel confident that you are doing a great service for us.
You can put your sugars in a small ziplock bag so can cream your butter & sugar together when you are making the cookies 😊
Great idea :)
Yes, TY for all of these mixes…they are AWESOME. I have a tip for your cookies as well: yes, refrigerate your dough, but also bake them on a muffin top pan. This type of pan limits how far they can spread out and the pan also gives you uniform cookies!!! 💕
Oooh I never thought of doing this! I will have to try it and see how I like it.
Yes and you can also make banana muffins with the recipe.
Banana muffins are so good!!
Don't be sorry, Sweetheart! Who else would give such a thoughtful gift. It comes from your heart, afterall❤
I love the mixes. Keep them coming 😊
Well this was fun. I went back and watched your last one again and then this one. It’s almost 1 in the morning and i need to head to bed .
Wow, well thank you! Get some good rest!
hi, new follower here, just coming from the 1st part of pre-mixes 😁 (also, fresh cook too, I've just started since a few months ago to experiment with baking, cooking non-standard recipes and such).
Thank you. I will try that. God bless.@@faithandarrowhomestead
Love home baking mixes, ive done brownies but not these! So exciting! Dont mind the harsh critics. Its 1 thing to give critism but dont need to be harsh. Lets lift each other up. Love how you explain your mixes!!
Thank you so much!!
I’m “hooked” already! It’s like being back in Home Ec in Jr High & High School! Keep ‘em coming!
Yay! Thank you so much!
The prepackage mixes in stores have the sugars already included with dry ingredients n they still turn out good. I like your mixes , thank you
That is very true! Thank you :)
You can get the jars of fruit butter in the store and put it in small jars and can them in a steam or water bath. I have done that with a lot of things and they are shelf stable!
Oh, interesting! I’ve never thought to do that. Thank you for sharing!
Do what you do and how you like to do it. You do a fantastic job. I was young once and all has turned out ok.
Thank you!
You are such a special lady, continue to be you and make things your way! You are doing such a great job. Thank you and Love and Light to you
I appreciate you so much!!
Hopefully a helpful tip-try looking at church fairs, or craft fairs for the fruit butters. Lots of time they have them in the 1/2 cup jars. Loving your videos! Thank you!
Thank you for doing the downloadable printables. They saved me a lot of time. Love your channel. You are a sweet soul❣️💗
Thank you so much! 😘
I’m glad it took off and I found you! I have enjoyed watching your videos since. And this video is exactly what I have planned to do this year for Christmas! Thank you! And thank you for the apple butter cookies😋
I’m so glad!! Thank you 😁
I just watched the first mixes video, then this one. I don't think they'll replace any of my current homemade mixes, but I definitely like your style. I'm watching the seasoning blends next, I don't have any of those on my shelves yet.
I really appreciate this honest feedback! Be blessed, friend!
You're definitely doing some great things in the kitchen! Your recipes will save a LOT of time & $!👍👍👍
I’m a new subscriber and love your positivity! I’m working towards eating more clean and love that I found your channel. ❤
Thank you so much!! Good luck on your journey!
Please keep these type of videos coming.I've been using these to stock up my pantry. Thank you so much 💓
And another thing that I must add and make a comment there is older people here that it's got carpal tunnel or there is people that is handicapped so I applaud anybody that wants to do it in a jar
Love your videos! I’m new to RUclips content creating, too, and always learning. I am definitely going to give some of these for gifts! Thank you! 👩🏻🍳❤️
Good luck on your journey!
Excellent presentation! I love the fairy headband. I've been making and giving mixes for years. I love them.
Getting the concept is why I watch tutorials. Empowering! Thanks!!
Last year for Christmas, i made bowl and plate cozies and cloth napkins to match as my hand made gifts. This year it is going to be kitchen mixes. Super idea.
Awh, such great gifts!
I have made desserts with and without creaming the butter and sugar and have seen no difference. Keep those mixes coming!!
THANK YOU!
I’m new here, so Hi!!! I’ve just found you within the last couple days and I have enjoyed everything I’ve watched so far. I am definitely looking forward to your future content. Thanks for having us, Take care 😊.
Thank you so much! I’m so happy you’re here :)
I’ve canned lots of fruit butters this year so I’m very excited for this apple butter cookie mix recipe!
Your message about pan size was so so important for young beginners to use critical/outside the box thinking-it’s an important skill -work with what you have rather than buying specific pans for each recipe!
YES! Thank you for reiterating that. I know it’s a bit uncomfortable but that’s how you grow!
Just wanted to know I love and appreciate your style of videos!!! So excited to try these recipes out soon!!!
Thanks for sharing your content with us!!
Thank you so much 😁
I think homemade gifts are the best ❤
I completely agree ❤️
Thank you so much for sharing this alternative! That’s a great idea.
I shared it to my social media. Everyone that supports you should too. Good concept.
Thank you so much!!
Just found your channel because I was looking for this type of content. I think you are just amazing
Oh gosh thank you! All glory to God for what you’re finding here. I hope it blesses you!
❤ok thank you I'll check it website for recipes
Yea!😊 Thank you!
Excellent advice, thank you!
I also made those cookies recently and really liked them!
@@faithandarrowhomesteadus too! My husband made me bring them to work because he was eating way too many at a time 😂😂
I absolutely love the way you explain everything in these videos. I can't wait to make these as gifts this year! Thanks for the help 🥰
I’m so glad! You’re welcome 🤗
I am excited about the applebutter cookie recipe. Our crabapple tree exploded this year. I've made a lot of applebutter and jelly.
I think I will package a cookie mix, a biscut mix, and a few jars of jelly and butter. ❤
Yay! What a great use!
Love the video. Hope you make more. I stopped buying the store bought mixes. This is I can make with non-gmo ingredients. thank you.
I’m glad you enjoyed it! I do have another video with more mixes.

Whoops sorry I linked the wrong video.
ruclips.net/video/OR8cTocNLYs/видео.htmlsi=bWyNYL_hfUENHpgz
you can put the sugar in a small zip lock in your mix package and then have that done separately.
That is true!
If people want to criticize, they should get their own RUclips and do it. Geez… too many Karens! You do you. You’re doing great!❤
Haha thank you!
i think you are doing an awesome job love watching you
The printable cane out so cute!!
I’m so glad!! I was worried.
Love your videos. Just continue being you. God Bless you
If you don’t have printable instructions, you can also hand write the instructions on a recipe card.
Really enjoying your channel, I am not much of a cook or baker but you make me want to try things! 😀
Thank you! It’s not something anyone is born with, we can all learn!
My husband and I are on a journey to get out of debt and create a small homestead. I’ve been working on learning to cook and bake and I loved your other video so I came to watch this one. You’re awesome. Thank you for being brave and sharing your knowledge and methods.
Welcome to the journey! There are so many fun new things to learn and I really hope you enjoy the process!
Your instructions are very clear, as is your desire to help all of us succeed. I love the idea or my own mixes as I no longer buy boxes filled with very questionable ingredients. I am just now realizing to have the mixes ready in my pantry would be so convenient. Thank you. Thank you for the Granola Recipe also.😊
Thank you!
Yeah for me… cookies from scratch I don’t use prepackaged mix. Cake mixes bisquick type mixes this is way cool
I like your video just the way you did it. Don't try to please everyone, just be yourself.
You are on target, and doing great! When we buy premixes at the store it does not say to cream the butter with the sugars. Love your videos! 😊
Wait Tina, I have not even thought of that! You are exactly right, store bought mixes DON’T say to cream the butter and sugar 🤯
