    I thought for sure the spices would have runoff during the pressure cooker part, but they didn’t! You just saved me a lot of time, thank you!! 🥳🥳🥳 Subbed immediately. ❤

    This was perfect! Thank you for posting this recipe. So easy. I've been only air frying and parts of the chicken weren't cooked.

    Did you dump the water after pressure cooking? I did not see you do that ...

      @agreatcooker  4 года назад +16

      That's a great question. I did not dump off the water. However that certainly is an option. But, I have found that the chicken skin crisp up just fine even with the water in the bottom of the inner pot.

    Doesn't this have a setting for baking? Can I just bake the chicken?

    • @alireid5874
      @alireid5874 3 года назад +2

      you can just bake it, but better yet, just air fry it the whole time.

      Nah there's a reason she did the pressure cook air fryer combo. It blows away baked chicken quarters. The pressure cooking tenderizes the chicken significantly more. But then with no color on the chicken when it's done pressure cooking, that's what the air fryer is for. Chicken quarters baked in an oven aren't even close to this. Baking the chicken or air frying it all the way, you get the crispy skin and the color but not the tenderness. You could also use the Sautee function on it with lid off to sear the chicken first, then pressure cook to finish.

    I just realized I've been using the lid the wrong way this entire time ...

    If it’s cooked all the way through, please tell me why it takes 14 more minutes to air fry?

    • @jonaozo540
      @jonaozo540 Год назад

      For the crispiness, firm up the outside, more like baked chicken. [similar to the Maillard reaction]

    • @nathanshackelford7812

      You wouldn't want to eat it right out of the pressure cooker unless you seared it first then pressure cooked. Instant pots do have the Sautee feature where you can do this. But I can tell you now you won't get the same result. It's because chicken quarters aren't flat like a steak or some other kind of meat. Broiling it at the end would be closer to same effect. Obviously you can bake chicken quarters but I will tell you right now it's not close to this method.

    At 1:20 you said add the air fryer lid but you put on the pressure cooker lid🙄

    • @jonaozo540
      @jonaozo540 Год назад

      Use the pressure cooker lid for pressure, release pressure, SWITCH LIDS, use air fryer lid for air fry.

      Just microwave some chicken fingers then. INR, who is worth wasting 14min-14min-14min on.
