That's a master class project! Very impressed! The top fan is screaming for a Noctua brown colour IMHO.
Thank you! Hmm yes, I did want to add an RGB fan on top to add more lights, but it doesn't really emit much... Noctua would probably look great here
@@mxcbuilds6633 Adding led strips to the internal structure would massively improve light functionality. It's a beautiful looking case, but the CPU and GPU coolers need to be customised for it... It has loooots of potential!
What a piece of art!
Thank you!
It's no mere PC, it's an . . . objet d'art!
Have always wanted to build a wooden PC case that functioned... This takes it a step beyond and makes it literally a piece of art, awesome stuff!
Thank you for watching!
watched the whole things, didnt skip a second! very satisfying to watch a craftsmaster at work.
the design reminded me off the Fractal Mood case, but yours is more "steampunky" and the airflow actually works!
thanks for watching!
Wow 😅, that was something my friend. Awesome work and details - attention to small bits ! Well done. 👏🏼👌🏼 😀
Thank you! Cheers!
That’s stunning man, well done
Thank you!
wow, it's absolutely gorgeous. I came across your video from your reddit post dude you're a beast
Thanks for checking out the video!
Underrated as hell, very impressive
Thank you!
hello from reddit! this was a fantastic build to watch and I love how granular you got with the process. immaculate vibes
Thanks for checking out the video!
Always looking forward to see what you'll come up with next and you didn't disappoint; very classy. Well done and thank you for sharing!
Thank you very much!
looks amazing. Love your case designs
Glad you like them! Thank you!
Just found you via a reddit post. Your voice is very soothing, and the talent you show with the build is exceptional. I love DIY videos, and am a bit of a computer appreciator, so this video really hits the spot. Also, the fact that you mentioned AUD makes me a bit bias, as I'm Aussie, and assume you're in/from Australia yourself.
Just subscribed and look forward to more great work!
EDIT: I forgot you literally said, "...here in Australia" lmao
Thanks for the support! Things here are expensive indeed
i love how you hide computers and add functionality to them! I would really love to see your take on the "desk is the computer case"
Thanks! Maybe one day
Both the design and craftsmanship are very impressive! 👏
Thank you very much!
once again, most awesome design / build!
Thank you!
I might consider trying to replicate this but with brushed titanium panels instead, in any case excellent build!
Thanks! Best of luck 😁
Another amazing build! Excellent work on this one.
Thanks a bunch!
gorgeous design well executed, thanks for sharing!
Thank you! Cheers!
truly breath taking
Thanks for watching!
I am always impressed by your builds. You do amazing work and I can not imagine how much thought and time goes into designing the overall build all of the components to make it work. I've been a long time subscriber and alway look forward to new videos. Thank you for posting.
Thanks for the on going support! glad you enjoyed the latest video as well :)
Absolutely awesome. Work of art.
Thank you kindly!
I think the only thing you could possibly add is custom cabling, and that's saying a lot. This is by far the classiest, most beautiful pc build I've ever seen.
Yeah that would be perfect. I hate doing custom cables tho. That's why I always try my best to avoid it 🤣
Love this, beautiful work from start to finish.
Glad you like it!
Awesome video, even better build! Kudos from reddit
Thank you!
Another beautiful piece! Great job MXC!
Thank you! Cheers!
Holy sh.t, that’s a epic effort. Thanks for sharing
thanks for watching!
This would fit PERFECTLY in my computer area! Actually it would fit perfectly ANYWHERE in home!!! But pretty much ALL your builds would because not only do I live in in the woods (just a wooded area, but I'm not in the middle of nowhere.. that would REALLY SUCK lol) but my house was built in the 70's when they used a lot more wood trim throughout the whole house.
I LOVE THIS BUILD!! I would have to say it's my favorite build of yours!! It just sucks about the fan noise, but there are a few things that you can do to fix that... I think the simplest would be to get a high static pressure fan - specifically from Noctua. This is so they can spin at a low rpm and create enough 'suction' to pull the air through all those very small holes in your air filter. Then you should change the air filter.. you are getting ALL teh air in your system through the filter, and the fans have to spins so fast because the filter doesn't have very much porosity. So you gotta use one with bigger holes. I think you chose the one you did to make it spread the light around so it's more of a lamp... But you already did that with the cover thing you put the LED strip into... so it's not AS important to spread the light with the filter... What you could do is use one with bigger holes but find a very thin sheet of porous foam... I used to have one that would be perfect for your case, but it came with my window air conditioner LOL so I don't where to get it, or exactly what its called. You could probably find soemthign at a hobby store or maybe even a home improvement store...
OR if you can find the same materiel that is used in computer cases that air used as filters on the intake.... I think they are just screens...
But because ALL the incoming air on your case HAS TO go through a filter no matter what you use as a filter that is actually effective you WILL have this issue.... Maybe just getting a LARGER FAN will help.... and that way it can spin at a low RPM and still move a ton of air.... But I'm not sure if a 140 or 160mm fan will fit in your current setup, so you might have to redesign it to use a cap ON TOP of the slats so you could fit a bigger fan inside 🤷♂ ... but I do think you will HAVE TO get a high static pressure fan... if you are going with 120mm fan this your ONLY CHOICE is the Noctua A12x25 .. which is kind of expensive, but it's THE BEST Fan on the market for static pressure AND Noctua is FAMOUS for it's QUALITY and simply being THE BEST... PERIOD. - OR you can print your own fan blades (but you'll have to destroy the blades on another fan to use its hub for your printed blades... it's sounds weird to print new blades, but it can make a HUGE DIFFERENCE!! Check out Major Hardware and the Fan Showdown for more about that... you might like it :D
EXCELLENT WORK THO!!! I wish I had skill to do this... and the tools... and the patience.... and the motivation.... LOL I LOVE the cases you come up with!!! Thank You for sharing them with us!!!
The top fan is a Arctic p14 static pressure fan. Already one of the better ones on the market. As for larger fans, it won't fin in this design as I couldn't find a wood block bigger than this for the base.
Dude this is DOPE! A reverse flow top fan would really seal the deal as you wouldn’t see the “arms” of the fan casing. But I love how you reuse your parts from previous build.
Indeed that would have been perfect. Thanks for watching!
Where is the yellow bag button? Well done. Instead of “sick” i said, HEALTHY! 👍👍👍
Thanks!
Amazing work!
Thank you! Cheers!
Amazing, keep up the good work
Thanks, will do!
Nice use of the dfferent CNC and other woodworking tools to bring it all together, it looks great :)
Thank you very much!
Man that’s awesome, would love to be able to purchase a lamp case just like that and build with it
That would be cool!
Came from Reddit. Awesome looking case!!! And your setup is so beautiful... Loving the stands for the MR4!
Thank you! Check out how I made those in my previous video :))
You always make great builds, I think it would be cool if you challenge yourself to make more high airflow builds - maybe using 180mm fans or something.
I think fully custom cases have the advantage of being able to work with air channels specifically designed for various components which is something we just don't see in traditional cases made for compatibility with many parts.
Anyways I know visual design is first for you and you always deliver on that!
Thanks! I initially wanted to use a noctua 200mm fan for the exhaust on this build. But simply could not find a block of wood big enough. Even with this block (which was the largest I could find) I was scrapping for millimeters of internal space, had to shave away the internal edges of each slat or else the dust filter would not even fit.
@@mxcbuilds6633 Maybe look in other areas for a fan eg car parts, air conditioning and so on.
Did you think about trying to do a bottom intake fan for this build in the base at all?
@@mxcbuilds6633 I figured that was the case since you have used larger than 140mm fans in the past!
I feel like wanting a wooden cylinder as a base would complicate things but at the same time was crucial for the aesthetic you were aiming for.
Wonder if for a future build going with a dodecagon or something for the base would make it viable to get the 200mm noctua idea working. Looking forward to future projects!
I'd buy that in a heartbeat, it looks so good!
Thank you!
A work of art, sir. Well done!
Thank you! Cheers!
Congratulations on the great work of art. You really are a great craftsman in the art of wood. In addition to being beautiful and compact, it doesn't take up space. Thank you for sharing this masterpiece. Here in Brazil this office would be very successful.
Thank you very much!
Beautiful work ❤ one of my favourite of yours 🎉
Thank you so much ❤️
This is a masterwork, I want one! I don't have anything like the skills to build it but damn!
Thank you!
Great build. Looking forward to the next video👍
Thanks for watching!
Another masterpiece!
Thank you!
Looks so good! Very stylish and doesn't look like a PC at all.
Look up the meaning of the word "spline". I think you mean spine.
Thanks, yeah spine might suit this application better
amazing work!
Thank you! Cheers!
Stunning!!!!!!!!
Thank you!! ❤️
very pleasant to watch:)
Thank you!
Really like this one!
Thanks!
Amazing job, you have a new subscriber for sure
Awesome, thank you!
Beautiful work!
Thank you very much!
Fantastic! I want one!
You and me both!
Amazing !
Thank you! Cheers!
God DAMN your best build yet. Amazing work! I want one myself ngl...
Thank you!
This is amazing
Thank you!
brilliant all around
Thank you!
Beautiful work. This is an awesome build.
Just a suggestion for future videos, you should lower the music volume when you're narrating. It was hard to hear you at times.
Thank you! I did notice some parts during the assembly that the audio was abit loud. Will check better before uploads next time
Awesome, man!!
Thank you!
Beautiful build. I would just swap the CPU fan with Noctua 25mm thick and replace the mash filter cover with no so dense ones.
Thanks. 25mm fan will not fit. Less dense filter makes the filter less useful. Better remove the filter in that case
@@mxcbuilds6633 Understood. I have few MiniITX builds that have dense mash and acoustics are affected greatly. I get that sucking vacuum cleaner noise you have. Replaced them with slightly different one and sounds much better.
You are brilliant
Thank you!
Amazing build! It’s interesting watching you choose between printing, cnc, crafting and woodworking techniques! What CNC are you using?
It's the anolex 3030 Evo pro. Great unit so far
amazing!
thanks broski!
WOW actually crazy cool build man!
but wouldnt it be better if you got the most silent fans for this build? then also lets say put at least one fan under with some ventilation holes from the bottom and exhaust from the top?
Thanks. Arctic p14 is one of the best 140mm fans around. Adding fans in the bottom is possible, but will likely take away from the overall design, either will need vents/holes in the base, or elevate it up for the bottom to intake air. Either way, I didn't want that look. So I will only recommend this case for people who only want mid-low range parts but a really nice PC that blends in with their wood themed set up. If high end high power parts are what they want, I'd ask them to look else where.
I think the best part of it would be when your friend asks why your lamp sounds like it’s about to take flight.
Heating issues aside I think after a bit more light or a darker room, it’s brilliant.
Especially if you’re not afraid of undervolting it. Laptop parts might be better for cooling as there’s not one clear exit/entrance for cooling.
It's really not bad in normal use. Even with CPU GPU usage at 70-80%. Only when it's pinned on synthetic loads, but how often does that happen anyways.
@@mxcbuilds6633 I guess I’m just too use to my AIO & 240mm fans. Anything that’s louder than my air purifier unwarrantedly worries me.
How well does it run newer games like cyberpunk/BG3? I’d love to see it in a darker room too. Showcase all had some lights in the background. This makes me wonder, if it would be possible to put a cylinder PC on a spinning platform.
The chamfer of the holes is known as countersinking; i.e. countersunk holes
and rtx powered desk lamp convector heater love it
Yep thanks
Looks neat but unbearably loud even in the "quiet" setting.
Maybe invest in higher quality fans, like Noctua.
Could be because everything is crammed together, so the CPU has to cook at 70+°C in gaming. And that's only a 65W CPU.
Also, no lamp in your lamp.
But looks neat, I guess.
No worries
Wow wow wow wow wow
❤️❤️❤️
Looks awesome! I really like your work. I have a question: where do you get those threaded inserts? They look so much better than the ones that require an Allen key to screw in.
Thank you! I get most of my hardware from AliExpress. Search for 'm3 threaded inserts'. Their screws are pretty good quality as well for stuff like this. And cost effective!
Very very nice!!
Would be great to have a nice new guide for a beginner with hand tools (or basic power tools) on how to make a basic wood PC.
Or would you just recommend I look at "DIY Wooden PC Case! - ITX | Woodworking | 3D Printing"
Thank you. I've been thinking of re-doing an updated version with just basic hand tools. But I keep having these new ideas with the new skills and equipment I have now. And I seem drawn towards them more in terms of motivation. I may eventually revisit the basic beginner type build when I run out of new ideas. But for now I would say that the video you quoted would be the best guide I can provide.
@@mxcbuilds6633 No worries at all. Cheers for the response
If trying to make one yourself seems too daunting, you might wanna check out Fractal Designs. They make pc cases with a bit of wood in them that look very slick.
Beautiful.. you gonna mint if you commercial it..
That's the plan!
What are the temps without the filters. As far as i am concerned the mesh filters are a waste of time dust will get into the case regardless. just don't be lazy with maintenance.
Good job
Haven't tried, should be better
I like your builds.
Have you tried coloring the edge of the laser cutted wood sheets? I think the natural wood texture and the burned edge dark color is not matching fine.
I never tried, and i do not have laser cutter, so It is was just an idea. 😊
you could sand the dark edges away. But i kind of like them like this
Dumb question, what does the connection to the monitor look like (ie the wire from the "lamp" to monitor)? Maybe I missed that part in the video...
It goes through a normal display port cable.
Amazing job. Where did you get your base wood from? Did you get it cut to that round shape or just a regular slab? I'd also like to know the pricing of materials if i'm not being too privy, i'll respect if you want to keep some trade secrets though :)
I bought it as the blank I shown at the start. They are for sale like this intended to be carved into bowls. 110aud for the base blank. Rest of the maple plywood adds up to be another 50 AUD.
@@mxcbuilds6633 Damn, price of wood went up since my last project. 🥲
Make them outer ribbs movable
Haha sure
goddam. amazing

Thanks!
What colour was the wood stain you?
No stained used. Only clear wax and varnish used to maintain the woods natural beauty
How much would you charge for that case?
>500 usd
@@mxcbuilds6633 it’s a fair price
Great build
But consider wearing gloves
Thanks!
Where is the lamp? I don't see enough lights on it to use as a desk lamp
Let's call it a 'mood lamp' then. Happy?
@@mxcbuilds6633 it looks dope bro I just thought it would function as a normal lamp
Strunning work. The problem with ventilation for me is caused by the dust filter, One fan is not enough to allow depression to suck fresh air trough the fabric. I'll try to remove it. With only one fan sucking air I thik the dust collection is very low. My two cents.
Thanks for watching!
this is gorgeous, I love the design! as far as sound goes, my first thought is to try and upsize the top fan to a 180mm or 200mm option, because those move more air and also produce a generally lower pitched, more pleasing hum at the same volume.
Wanted to use noctua 200mm fan initially. I could not find a solid wood block big enough to allow the design. So I had to move to 140.
Really cool, sunning almost, I agree the noctua fans would work with the color scheme well.
also maybe a center led ring to reinforce the cone a bit, while also evening out the light? Might be too thick though at that point
Thanks! Great suggestions:)
“Why is that lamp so loud?” “Oh it’s just rendering a few videos”
Indeed
This one of the coolest builds I've ever seen!!! That's just badass!!!!
Thank you!
Class meets performance, meets aesthetics! What a vibe… great project and awesome finished product! Subscribed!
Thanks for the support!
Awesome lamp 😍❤
Thank you! 😊
that power button. holy moly
Thanks!
This is beautiful work
Thank you! Cheers!
Probably the temperature would look more comfortable with the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 120 as CPU Cooler, and the radiator with fan put on the top as out blower! Nice work, but next time without CNC 😉😂😉Joking👍🏼
Trust me, there was no space for that. This was the largest I could have made due to the restrictions of my equipment. I've got other projects without using CNC, feel free to check those out! 🙂
Man I’ve been following your videos for a while now. Your work is incredible! I love watching your videos! This might be my favorite! If you created project instructions on this with cnc, laser and printer files I would love to buy and try one out!
Awesome! Thank you!
love it

This is incredible. I almost don’t want to subscribe to the channel because I want this case so much and wish I didn’t know it existed 😂
Amazing work. Great video, really well filmed and edited. Most of all though, your machining skill is incredible and the final result is beautiful.
Haha I hope you change your mind! Thanks for watching :))
@@mxcbuilds6633 I subscribed anyway because of the stellar effort you put into this. Pure artwork. Curious… what do you do with your builds once you finish them?

use RF wireless power button, it will be more perfect
Thanks for the suggestion. I quite like the rope wire and button pendant. Adds an extra dynamic to the build
