I tried these last year and had no luck, I don’t think I gave them enough of a chance though. This year I’ve promised my self that I will put more effort into using them because everyone seems this think they are fantastic.

Hello Henry, thank you so much for all the videos here and on the Savage Gear UK Channel, really great.
I am going to order the original size Gravity Stick Kit and can't wait to give these a go.
I was wondering if you could please give me your opinion on how these stack up against the Sandeel V2?
Naturally, it's an extra bit of kit but if I'm on a budget, am I right to assume that the Kit is what gives me the best versatility?
Thank you in advance for your time!

@@henrygilbey302 cheers just bought a few packs of the 140mm pin n paddle tails but can't get hold of the 120's yet . . ! Just a quick question when you use hard lures if they come with a split ring on the front do you prefer to take it off and just use your lure clip or leave it on . . ? Tight lines 🎣

High, I know this was a year ago but, what rod are you using ?? as it does not look like one of your normal regular rods ?
Might you maybe remember which one it is.
Rods especially seem to change with the wind in these modern times and it's a job to keep up with them.
    Many thanks,
    Les.

Great video Henry. Loving the gravity sticks. They are now my go to softie, period. P.s. love your passion for the bassing. I recall you came over to Jersey in the 90’s and did a video fly fishing for bass. Around La Hocq I think it was. Not seen that in decades :) is it online anywhere?

Gotta say Henry that I wasn’t convinced with the SG pencils after never really having done much with line thru sandeels. I am now, bought a couple to try and they are a joy to use. Oh and they nail the bass I get here. Perfect colours in the sw’s too. Sooo I’m going to trust in SG and the Gilbey and give these a go, I have a good feeling about these in a market filled with mediocre SP’s.

Nice one Rob, sorry for the late reply, forgot to check these comments!
The Sandeel Pencil I believe is the most misunderstood lure we do...........to me it's essentially a long range soft plastic. Casts a mile, swims nice and shallow with a very subtle action.

I tend to fish mostly with a lure rod rated up to about 35g, it copes well with a lot of the lures we use

The pintail is my least used lure and to be fair I haven't persisted with it. Is a daytime only sort of thing or has there been success with it the dark/low light? Just thinking of the ways I might be able to use it.
