Agreed. Feels like a few too many polygons for a PS1 game, but it is close! If I saw right, what he did with the textures was the same method an Ian Hubert uses in his "animating ducks" tutorial (in the first 10 seconds. The video itself is a minute long).
That Workflow it's cool, using The Wanted texture on brushes... I never tougth that before!
