Helping the caravans should provide you with a lot more supplies in my opinion. I have finished abandoned caravans so many times just to get barely anything.
I noticed they get abandoned because the damn ai doesn’t work and keeps walking for 20+ minutes 🤣 I had to abandon at least three for this exact reason.
They are not abandonned, u get 50 supplies for helping finish others caravan if u have one active. If the person who started it aint there dont touch it, ur ruining their grind
Do the medium caravan. Costs a third of the large one and get 25supplies for finishing. So you can do 3 medium caravans for the price of a large one and end up with 25more supplies for the same cost. Will take longer obviously, but for players that are tight on caps, its the best
I wasn't really bothered about this addition but something new can't hurt. I was still underwhelmed though. My caravan took 27 minutes, almost did 2 laps of the region. It's a boring grind
I noticed yesterday even a level 1187 abandoned the caravan running solo. I tried solo, almost made it to the drop off then o died right before the drop off, and yes quit a bit back tracking
@@csaskittlez8174 They are a lot stronger, Bethesda said they were going to make them stronger. I honestly wouldn’t mind if they gave you more than the player earns, for helping; but increased the difficulty/amount of enemies if there were more players. Then make part of the mission that the Brahmin isn’t the only one that needs to survive until the end, but the player who started the caravan as well. It would encourage teamwork and strategy.

I think the Brahmin can get exhausted if you hurry them too much. They don't run any faster if you spam it, but you can push too hard. Which is why you can't "hurry" them constantly.
@@SequentialGamerFallout it's likely this becomes less of a problem as they're upgraded, but either way, spamming hurry accomplishes nothing. They have 2 speeds, meandering and holy shit slow down! If it's already running, hurrying it again doesn't do anything if it's already running.
@@Lordoftheapes79 Well apparently someone did a test with the highest level of hurry up and it makes no difference to speed, it just makes it run for longer each time you hurry it.
They should play into the merchant part of this more. I think they should add npc’s along the route where you have to pass speech checks to negotiate trade deals. Have like three of them so it encourages more people to be there for different special level checks, and each speech check you pass should add a random 1 star legendary reward for the completing the event.
Some of the pathings are consistently route weirdly but they always work themselves out. Your Brahmin doesn't always show for a large caravan (with a large pack) even tho it is a large caravan. Does not affect rewards at all.

This caravan quest thing is boring as fuck........ I had one that ran 28 minutes. It took such a long route that ended up doing a circle around the map
What did you put in the box? Also there os stuff dropped on the ground alot of guns ammo scarp, I collect it and scrap it in my stuff, and sell the other stuff, am I supposed to put that stuff in the box?
Thats just loot from enemies that others have killed It is glitched it shouldnt happen All that dropped loot makes the server more laggy and crash people .
@@albertoadan8246 dude this is way more than usual stuff even from enemies, it happens in test your metal too, but I have not crashed at all, just look out for it its all random stuff, way more than an enemy would give you
bows , bows are probably the best weapon to solo this ... without bloody , but decent perks , you can 2 shot a group of super mutants AND ALSO heal your caravan to full all with one weapon the aoe of the fire arrows helps immensely at both tagging when helping , but also aggroing the enemies all at once to yourself
Bows are very effective, the area effect and the DoT works great against the normal enemies. I'd still carry something like a plasma flamer to deal with the final encounter if you're soloing the caravan, otherwise you run the risk of your brahmin getting taken out.
If we are meant to run this over and over and over and over to get the new weapon and upgrade your caravan….count me out. To do the largest delivery its over 1k caps. You get hardly any supplies…why would I waste caps on this?
Yeah, the caravan system assumes you'll do the quests first. It's a good idea to just do whatever you're told until you hire the brahmin trainer and unlock large caravans.
Oh man where to start... Its one of the worst implement in game. Escort missions suck! Feeling like a waste of time. Only for the new gun I will do some caravans, but not enjoying this at all. Thx again for ur great video and thoughts about it.
I ran a bunch of escorts for other caravans and was getting on average 3 rewards per run. Sorry but that is a waste of my time. I'll assume Bethesda is just trying to get us to grind more and we have enough of that already.
it is cool feature and new thing to do, but damn, I got several issues.. I would gladly wait week or two more if that would mean it would be more polished, hopefully soon will be other update first two I SUCCEEDED, I failed, once game crashed after I finished it, it even gave me rewards and I seen popups and stuff, other I failed because after I won, brahmin died you have no clue to where you go so it can be two minutes or half hour adventure to get one supply, you need tons of things to do anything at all, once I ran like whole round around, or very close to it very least people can start run your caravan with you not even present, that sucks, also i would prefer to it be possible to not invite everyone, like to make "silent" run, invite only team or everyone, it is kinda annoying to have always someone with stupid fixer oneshot instantly every enemy and whole mission would be "follow cow and do nothing" kind of thing and having to do it ten times to do anything upgrade costs or even possibility dont show up till you already got enough supplies, until in video I seen that was pointed out, i assumed I got to do something else to be able to update coworker I had name of brahmin SHOULD be visible to also other players, as far I know, it isnt for some damn reason, what is that for you can name brahmin Super Tank or Princess Luna when none can see it (or I would be only person who named brahmin of those I ran with when you talk to her about "paying for running caravans" you got option talking about fees, selecting it (even when it is free) makes you run pointless tiny caravan and it not telling you about size, one figures it out but it is just pointless to make that option there, if only tiny one appears and it dont tell you about what you even choose path finding is awful, you have no clue goal destination even, sometimes it likes to run around then runs totally out of road to return 50 meters back then to get to some invisible "check point" or something it uses to navigate rewards are awfully tiny, it is waste of time, I guess you can set up camp close enough to one of target destinations and farm points by AFK in camp.. as far I know, only rewards are that new laser carbine and some snow globes, merchants to sell stuff in "your" base you dont need, you can fast travel to any hub for free to use merchants there, unless you just happen to be at there and need to sell something, which dont seem to be case, since you got to fast travel to it again anyway, and so far I got no items to sell as reward, but maybe few stimpacks, brahmin tamer works only for supporting this feature and needs you to grind this feature to use her (not sure if foods last one round or ten, or till you change it, it isnt told anywhere I could see), decorator is most pointless of them all, since it only changes looks, so it is like RP thing maybe or if you just really hate aesthetics of place I guess, maybe some missions will get attached there so working on caravans get some expansion but as it is now, unless you are rifleman (or commando whatever works with carbine) build, you dont have many reasons to really bother with it I think it could be at least semi-cool if they made it possible for you to send actual items to actual places as feature rewarded by this whole thing, like when you get over carry limit, you could sent like up to 50 units of weight to some place where ti would arrive or to give to some player or something, also to at least mission end by "take supplies of brahmin" first before delivering them by single click of button would help with immersion, and fact sometimes you can deliver supplies even with brahmin like 100 meters away also tiny thing, but at least now as caravans are busy, my calm camp in valley constantly has gunfire in background which I will have to get used again also constant popups "new caravan event" in left corner appear all the time, which is distracting a bit
It was never a good idea taking a time gated event everyone hates like free range and building a season around it. IDK how you can waste time on caravans without feeling stupid.
The caravans follow similar paths so it's most likely that you just saw left over items from enemies that were killed by other caravans. I've never seen the brahmins actually drop anything.
@@SequentialGamerFalloutYou are correct. That is exactly why everyone's seeing loot on the ground. A lot of people are not collecting their loot along the way. Thus we find Troves of free loot on the ground it's been a thing for years now
This has to be a troll. You have players that have been around for 6 years and thousands of hours, pushing brahrim around a giant circle lol for 1 supply.
People should be running this solo everybody is able to make god rolls therez no need for 10 people to help in my opinion unless your a very low level.
Man everyone is so harsh on the caravan. Maybe give it a chance and upgrade it a little to see if the rewards or difficulty increases, You guys are judging it based on the base caravans. I mean I could be wrong and it could stay as crappy fully upgraded but I have faith it'll be better once you put some work in and unlock all the vendors and upgrades
Other than being nice, there's no incentive to help anyone. You get nothing. Maybe a stimpack and a couple rounds but less that you expended during the run. This is a pretty lame mission.
They shouldn't be charging caps to do this stupid caravan thing that is SOOO BROKEN... done a few that got stuck, or kicked from server after paying.... total BS
So, I gave this a fair chance. I must say, it's boring af. No fun, no rewards to speak of. Just another time sink with boring chores and very stingy rewards to keep that FOMO going. I don't even have a meta-build, but, I can't see me doing this for anything more than I already did. What an absolute waste of my spare time that was, no thanks, this is not for me.
Huge waste of time, This thing takes time, then those who help often gets nothing at all. For those who wants that rifle, hurry create these your own caravan event. Helping others getting max 1 supplies, assuming you even get one at all. Why you should get those supplies early these days, because nobody is going to help you anymore in the future after they know this sucks and helping you didnt get them anything at all. They only help you because they didnt know, helping you gets extremely minimal reward, even sometimes nothing at all. And it takes a lot of time.
Yeah not impressed with this. Seems like the only thing worth getting is that new rifle. I’m especially not motivated to get it because I use heavy guns. What else is there to get with this content?
I wish this event flagged you and your team (selectable team members) as guards. Then other players could see the event start and 4 players could flag as raiders. This would then be a PVP mode. Where if the raiders manage to stop your brahmin they receive a portion of the supplies, and the guards receive none and vice versa. The vendors at Milepost Zero would basically hold specific items received through PVP accomplishments. This would then create risk/reward and make the event more mechanically difficult to accomplish and give something fresh to do. Something akin to an Overwatch like Payload game map mode or something.

Do this with all three caravans and you’re looking at 150 supplies in one go . Works with anybody doing the caravan, and they do not have to be on your team.
Stay wild Wastelanders 🫡
I tried to do the caravan one time halfway through it failed. I had to restart like I never even activated the caravan to start with so I quit playing the game that was yesterday around 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time I hope today when I get off work it will be more sorted out
Man my first impression of this is bad😅 because the vermin was constantly going the wrong direction 😢 and my first one was failed because it took forever the whole time limit, edit I came back after a 3 month break because of the update, so yeah it was bad coming back to a new mission and failing 😅
It was a main quest for me wierddd
This caravan quest thing is boring as fuck........ I had one that ran 28 minutes. It took such a long route that ended up doing a circle around the map
What did you put in the box? Also there os stuff dropped on the ground alot of guns ammo scarp, I collect it and scrap it in my stuff, and sell the other stuff, am I supposed to put that stuff in the box?
There's nothing to put in the box, anybody escorting the caravan just clicks on the box to finish the caravan.
Thats just loot from enemies that others have killed
It is glitched it shouldnt happen
All that dropped loot makes the server more laggy and crash people .
@@albertoadan8246 dude this is way more than usual stuff even from enemies, it happens in test your metal too, but I have not crashed at all, just look out for it its all random stuff, way more than an enemy would give you
good analysis ... basically no need to do this task
bows , bows are probably the best weapon to solo this ... without bloody , but decent perks , you can 2 shot a group of super mutants AND ALSO heal your caravan to full all with one weapon
the aoe of the fire arrows helps immensely at both tagging when helping , but also aggroing the enemies all at once to yourself
Bows are very effective, the area effect and the DoT works great against the normal enemies. I'd still carry something like a plasma flamer to deal with the final encounter if you're soloing the caravan, otherwise you run the risk of your brahmin getting taken out.
Caravans are so much better with FO 1st. 5 minutes and done. Quick way to the L.C. and it's mods...
If we are meant to run this over and over and over and over to get the new weapon and upgrade your caravan….count me out. To do the largest delivery its over 1k caps. You get hardly any supplies…why would I waste caps on this?
They need to do something with this because I think this update is just terrible in its current form
Yeah i didn't either, heard you had to start one yourself first.
Yeah, the caravan system assumes you'll do the quests first. It's a good idea to just do whatever you're told until you hire the brahmin trainer and unlock large caravans.
this quest for me is completely bugged....keeps making me do the start over and over.
I only get 10 to 15 supplies per run is that normal
The size changes the reward. Starting a large caravan is 50 supplies. You can do that after you hire a new employee.
it is cool feature and new thing to do, but damn, I got several issues.. I would gladly wait week or two more if that would mean it would be more polished, hopefully soon will be other update
first two I SUCCEEDED, I failed, once game crashed after I finished it, it even gave me rewards and I seen popups and stuff, other I failed because after I won, brahmin died
you have no clue to where you go so it can be two minutes or half hour adventure to get one supply, you need tons of things to do anything at all, once I ran like whole round around, or very close to it very least
people can start run your caravan with you not even present, that sucks, also i would prefer to it be possible to not invite everyone, like to make "silent" run, invite only team or everyone, it is kinda annoying to have always someone with stupid fixer oneshot instantly every enemy and whole mission would be "follow cow and do nothing" kind of thing and having to do it ten times to do anything
upgrade costs or even possibility dont show up till you already got enough supplies, until in video I seen that was pointed out, i assumed I got to do something else to be able to update coworker I had
name of brahmin SHOULD be visible to also other players, as far I know, it isnt for some damn reason, what is that for you can name brahmin Super Tank or Princess Luna when none can see it (or I would be only person who named brahmin of those I ran with
when you talk to her about "paying for running caravans" you got option talking about fees, selecting it (even when it is free) makes you run pointless tiny caravan and it not telling you about size, one figures it out but it is just pointless to make that option there, if only tiny one appears and it dont tell you about what you even choose
path finding is awful, you have no clue goal destination even, sometimes it likes to run around then runs totally out of road to return 50 meters back then to get to some invisible "check point" or something it uses to navigate
rewards are awfully tiny, it is waste of time, I guess you can set up camp close enough to one of target destinations and farm points by AFK in camp..
as far I know, only rewards are that new laser carbine and some snow globes, merchants to sell stuff in "your" base you dont need, you can fast travel to any hub for free to use merchants there, unless you just happen to be at there and need to sell something, which dont seem to be case, since you got to fast travel to it again anyway, and so far I got no items to sell as reward, but maybe few stimpacks, brahmin tamer works only for supporting this feature and needs you to grind this feature to use her (not sure if foods last one round or ten, or till you change it, it isnt told anywhere I could see), decorator is most pointless of them all, since it only changes looks, so it is like RP thing maybe or if you just really hate aesthetics of place I guess, maybe some missions will get attached there so working on caravans get some expansion but as it is now, unless you are rifleman (or commando whatever works with carbine) build, you dont have many reasons to really bother with it
I think it could be at least semi-cool if they made it possible for you to send actual items to actual places as feature rewarded by this whole thing, like when you get over carry limit, you could sent like up to 50 units of weight to some place where ti would arrive or to give to some player or something, also to at least mission end by "take supplies of brahmin" first before delivering them by single click of button would help with immersion, and fact sometimes you can deliver supplies even with brahmin like 100 meters away
also tiny thing, but at least now as caravans are busy, my calm camp in valley constantly has gunfire in background which I will have to get used again
also constant popups "new caravan event" in left corner appear all the time, which is distracting a bit
It was never a good idea taking a time gated event everyone hates like free range and building a season around it. IDK how you can waste time on caravans without feeling stupid.
I think if the Brahman is hit he drops items I find a sht loadnof the stuff on the ground
It's a very boring addition.
I hate this and when it's bugged you can run whit the cow for illimited time for no rewards.
Free Range over and over and over and over😅😅
Aye all the cow arse you could ever want LOL
Huge waste of time,
This thing takes time, then those who help often gets nothing at all.
This is a terrible event! Takes 18 minutes and mine failed so I wasted 18 minutes. I won’t play this again 😤
Takes less than 10 min.
Takes like five minutes, there's a few bugs like it skipping the end, but other than that it really isn't that bad.
Mediocre rewards
