I would say rather that skincolor (and other factors of anthropological differences, like DNA or height of Siberian ppl, or the form of asian eyes or the width of african nose etc... its evolutionary), it is biologicaly definit, but racism as a political idea was a political contruct in 19th and 20th century (it started in UK) when UK and other empires used it for their goals of expoitation of tribal and native cultures. But now the existence of racism is used by those who want to divide us and to control us (AFAIR mostly in USA though).

@@ishrendon6435 thx :) Its only my personal view of this matter and its a view from the situation of central Europen countries, where after II WW we were mostly integrated, one-language, native nationalities with non-white minorities amounts near to zero. Though I know that there were few African students in 70s and 80s and 90s in our countries too, becouse the CCCP box and its allies got some students exchanges for those of African countries which were for a time dominated by socialism or were allies of CCCP box. :) But even if these were couple of hundreds of African students (or for example Vietnamese students) it was truly nothing to be influencing general population of - mostly Slavic - nationalities of countries dominated by CCCP or of countries made to be its allies. So my main question is still standing WHERE, or WHEN we would have been learned HOW to be racists, if our MAIN traumatic national and cultural experience in 20th century was to fight against racial ideology (hitlerism) and our nations were upo to the end of 90s mostly very, very integrated and of one color and of one language, and most of central European countries and nations NEVER got any colonies with non-white population, but rather be colonised or exploited by different European empires (Russia, Prussia, Germany, Sweden, Austria, Turkey).

One of the problems, as I see it, is that in the social sciences, social scientists want to sound scientific. The uncertainty in social science and the complexity of humans and other life forms, makes being scientific compared with say physics or chemistry very difficult. So, enter the jargon and complicated terms such as "construct." Whiteness is an intellectual construct, but the explanation of racism and whiteness could be explained in more simple terms than using "construct." Racism and whiteness is fear and perhaps some natural (in the left brain hemisphere) aversion for those who are different. And there are those who are not afraid of taking advantage of others, given the power to do so. In other words, there are some, who have the power, who are AH. That's my 2cents worth.

When a woman wears a hijab she will be racialised as non-white. My wife - a pale white hijab wearer - is frequently told her skin is dark and asked where she came from, her parents came from etc - not accepting that she is ethnically white. The examples that Myriam shares are obvious examples that show she is treated in a different way than white people - the fact that this different treatment overlaps with how ethnic minorities are treated can be ignored - by butthurt idiots. People can also pretend that Islam is considered an ethnically white religion - if they are in the mood to embarrass themselves with more idiot lies! I reckon you are the prime candidate E?
