God not only the animation on this is incredible, but the music and sound design too!! It’s a mini masterpiece!! I’m so impressed how you managed to get not only good looking animation but also get the dogs adorable personality across with such limited ways to portray lines!! INCREDIBLE!!!!

@@japhyriddle you seem like such a cool person honestly, keep up the really really awesome work (i almost wrote “worm” and i was about to stick with it, but i ended up not doing that. how about a typewriter worm next time?)

Love that description -- "A cool thing about doing text art on a typewriter, as opposed to ASCII art on a computer, is the ability to overlap characters." The convenience with ASCII art is the instant ability to change a frame. Not with typewriters! How long did it take you to make (including the ideation phase)?
I worked on the whole thing at my leisure over the course of a few days. The part that took the most time was figuring out which characters I could use to represent the various positions of the dog. But that part was also the most fun. I like puzzles. The actual animating was super fast and easy. There's a lot of repeated frames.

Luckily, anyone who can find an old typewriter, and has a camera, can make it. I hope this video will inspire others.
