I agree that Social media, Netflix etc are other lovers. But so are sungod worship, birthday celebrated on December 25th, Asherah worship, easter. Yahweh hates mixture and his bride will not be lukewarm. His bride loves her bridegroom and does not follow other gods. No mixing. Every time loving Him is mentioned, keeping His Commandments are in conjunction with that. If you love me, you keep my Commandments.
Hey, Corey, I was 21 when my sister and I and a few friends of ours drove from Tallahassee to Kansas City for my first (and would be the last) Onething conference in 2018. I had no idea who Corey Russel or Francis Chan was and only knew Mike because I was born in Kansas before moving to Florida. You were the first speaker and you mentioned that for some of us, something just shifted and we’d never be the same again after these 4 days. It was during those days that I surrendered my life to Christ and became a son. The Bridegroom, King, and Judge was talked about and for the first time in my life I understood it. I’m now 25 and the past 4 years of running after Jesus, stumbling, and getting back up to run after him again, have not been easy but they have been the best 4 years of my life. There are so many amazing things God has done in that time and who knows, maybe one day I’ll get to share that with you but for now, I just want to say thank you for always being after God’s heart and revealing to others the Bridegroom, King, and Judge. The same Bridegroom, King , and Judge who called me by name at that conference.
