What is it these British reviews being so dramatic? I feel as if I am at a book review, not an actual review by drivers/owners of this vehicle.

I suspect you have been bought by tbe manufacturer. Call it a sales pitch. Don’t call it a review.
It's a review as it's showing the vehicle and how it works. Most of the people watching this video are watching it because they are interested in the vehicle. So without a review like this - how does one find out about the functions? It's a very good review - and fantastic to be so informative. Others say 'this is good... this is bad...' but a lot do not actually have hardly any detail but a lot of personal opinion. My current car is 2004 year and is so basic that I have no clue what this type of vehicle can do. It's helpful for me...
If you’re contemplating an E-Pace, don’t. Mine didn’t have the heat shielding for the exhaust installed correctly, and repeatedly fried the wiring looms. The car was delivered with the tracking substantially out, and there is missing padding in the headlining causing more rattles than a tin full of screws. The car also has a penchant for randomly changing the drive selection modes as and when it pleases.
The absolute worst car I have ever purchased.

You're a tad overenthusiastic about an SUV which looks extremely average! I don't see a premium SUV there, tbh. Neither in style nor in the generosity of standard equipment.
