    Julie your sunflowers are gorgeous! I have done mosaic for many years and then had a long hiatus. You have inspired me to get going again. And I have learned so much, Thank you for sharing your process.

    Looking really lovely! Your client should be very happy. I’ve also participated in the Afghan mosaic project, here in Australia. Very worthwhile and hoping that there will be an exhibition in each country. Be great to see them all online too - so many countries and mosaic enthusiasts are involved.

      I know, right? It's overwhelming to see all the different mosaics. I'm catching the tail end of it!

    Beautiful! Another beautiful sunflower, yet another color, all are lovely. Thanks again for showing us how you cut and apply the glass. Beautiful butterfly! The art project is looking great! I don’t know how you do so much, and you do them all so well. I have made a butterfly, got the base at the dollar store, gonna send you a picture 😁
    Thanks again for sharing!

    Beautiful. For me , there is still to much bright yellow at the bottom.
    You are a fantastic mosaic artist.

      Thank you very much! They are definitely brighter at the bottom. Ultimately I left it to the client and she was thrilled with it, so moving forward!

    We've had glimpses of your family life, but could you tell us how your journey to becoming a mosaic master artist?

    • @mazzonimosaics8222
      @mazzonimosaics8222  2 года назад +1

      Ha! Hardly a master. Maybe I'll talk about it in some upcoming videos and show some early works. (Yikes!)

    Beautiful work - I’m amazed at the different contributions to the Afghan scarf that are being shown - it’s special to be a part of it too.
    Can I ask, how do you find the Breda nippers? - I’m tempted with them but are they much different to the Leponitts? (apart from the price!)

    • @mazzonimosaics8222
      @mazzonimosaics8222  2 года назад +1

      Any nipper preference is personal. That being said, I first learned to nip with Leponitts and they are most comfortable in my hand. So I use them to shape the glass. I use the Breda's when I am making an inventory to prevent hand fatiigue. They are much easier to cut with.

    Wouldn't have occurred to me to cut a bead in half. Duh. So what is that little blue pad you are using to apply the mortar? Thank you again. Great ideas and instruction.

      It is a finishing rubber for ceramics. Different colors indicate stiffness, and the blue one is just right for grouting.
