Beautiful work - I’m amazed at the different contributions to the Afghan scarf that are being shown - it’s special to be a part of it too. Can I ask, how do you find the Breda nippers? - I’m tempted with them but are they much different to the Leponitts? (apart from the price!)
Any nipper preference is personal. That being said, I first learned to nip with Leponitts and they are most comfortable in my hand. So I use them to shape the glass. I use the Breda's when I am making an inventory to prevent hand fatiigue. They are much easier to cut with.
Wouldn't have occurred to me to cut a bead in half. Duh. So what is that little blue pad you are using to apply the mortar? Thank you again. Great ideas and instruction.

Thank you very much! They are definitely brighter at the bottom. Ultimately I left it to the client and she was thrilled with it, so moving forward!

It is a finishing rubber for ceramics. Different colors indicate stiffness, and the blue one is just right for grouting.
