I have been wanting to learn scrollwork for years, but every youtube video i could find on it was very hard to follow and didn't provide many examples. Your video was amazing! By the end of it, me and my gf each had a page full of scrollwork doodles and the next day i began practicing some more. Thank you
That self talk saying you can do it, don’t even worry bout it, the best stuff i swear. Can definitely do this, thinking in the right mind just makes this more fun and worth it, thank you for the video help and encouraging words to keep getting to it ✊🏾
Love it!!! Thank YOU for your video, I practice every day and I do it in my journal. I have improve, In your video You give instructions but at the same time encourage and motivate us.
This is great! I'm just getting started with scrollwork and this is the video that brought me to your channel. I would love to see more videos like this!
Omg thank you thank you thank you. I have always loved scrollwork and was my own worst enemy. You just made me break through that barrier and you broke it down so simple! Thanks again!
I was so excited to see this video. I like to do Zentangle and there are scrolls involved often and mine look awkward and “non-graceful”. I have drawn a whole sketchbook page while watching your video. Seriously maybe one looks passable. I need much practice. But I really appreciate this video. Thank you.
I adore the way she approaches the vocabulary in this video, it's so user-friendly and non-threatening. Like... yeah I know a lot of these shapes have proper names but who are we kidding here. That's a "ball thing," this is a "skinny curve," those are "curlies," and yes, we make the leaves by flicking them! :)
I just did the exact opposite - looked at a scroll and thought nothing to it. An hour later, I’m cursing to myself and calling myself a total dumbass. Srsly, I could not get one end of a very basic scroll in any sort of symmetry. I have zero innate artistic ability, but have spent almost 15 years, days on end, hours at a time, “learning to draw from the right side of my brain” according to the book by that name. I actually got halfway good at it. But still, put a new kind of shape or new curved lines in front of me, and I go all left brain crazy.
